Lake Bon Bon Introduce
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Pinellas Park, Florida area and considering mobile home living, Lake Bon Bon, located at 6190 62nd Ave N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781, is a community to consider. They can be contacted at (239) 347-9760 or +1 239-347-9760 for inquiries. However, recent resident feedback raises significant concerns about the management, maintenance, and financial aspects of living in this park.
One detailed review from a person whose mother has lived in Lake Bon Bon for over five years provides a concerning historical perspective. Initially, the rent was reported to be $490, and the living experience was described as "great." However, the park has reportedly been sold more than twice in the past four years, and according to this reviewer, the situation has progressively worsened with each change in ownership. They note a trend of increasing rent coupled with a decline in the quality of management and maintenance of the complex and the well-being of the residents.
A significant complaint in this review is the perceived absence and lack of responsiveness of the current management. The reviewer states that the management is "never there" and does not adequately care for the complex or the people living there. They emphasize that the past year has been particularly worse than before, indicating a continued downward trend in the living conditions and management effectiveness.
Furthermore, this resident raises a serious financial concern regarding the billing practices at Lake Bon Bon. They allege that residents are being charged taxes on the land, which they do not own, arguing that taxes should only apply to the mobile homes themselves. This practice, if accurately reported, could represent an unfair and potentially unlawful financial burden on the residents.
The limited accessibility of the management office is also highlighted, with the office reportedly only open on Tuesdays for a few hours. This restricted availability could make it difficult for residents to address concerns, report maintenance issues, or seek assistance from the management in a timely manner.
The reviewer explicitly recommends that MHC homes LLC, the apparent current ownership, should replace the existing management, whom they describe as "worthless and a screaming liar." They further claim that the current manager bases decisions on emails rather than "solid evidence and equality," suggesting a lack of fairness and due process in addressing resident issues.
This reviewer's overall rating for Lake Bon Bon is zero stars, which they were only able to express as one star due to the platform's limitations. This extremely low rating underscores the depth of their dissatisfaction with the current state of the mobile home park.
The second review provided is brief and somewhat cryptic. The reviewer states they cannot provide an honest opinion because they "wasn't there." The subsequent sentences about being promised plumbing lessons, feeling let down and left behind, and feeling unloved and abandoned are unclear in their direct relation to the mobile home park. It is possible this review was mistakenly posted for this location or refers to a personal situation unrelated to the park itself. Therefore, while noted, its direct relevance to the conditions of Lake Bon Bon is questionable.
Based primarily on the first detailed review, Lake Bon Bon appears to be facing significant challenges related to:
- Substantial rent increases following multiple ownership changes.
- Poor and unresponsive management that is rarely available.
- Lack of adequate care and maintenance of the complex.
- Potentially unfair and unlawful billing practices regarding land taxes.
- Limited accessibility to the management office.
- Allegations of dishonest and inequitable management practices.
For individuals actively searching within the "RV parks near me" category, it is crucial to recognize that the issues raised by the long-term resident of Lake Bon Bon are serious and suggest a potentially negative living experience. While the park's name might evoke a pleasant image, the reported realities of management and financial practices are significant red flags.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough and independent investigations before considering Lake Bon Bon. This should include:
- Contacting the park management directly to inquire about the current rental rates, fees, and billing practices, specifically addressing the issue of land taxes.
- Asking about the management's availability and procedures for addressing resident concerns and maintenance requests.
- Visiting the park in person to assess the current condition of the grounds, facilities (if any are visible), and the overall environment.
- If possible, and with respect for residents' privacy, attempting to speak with current residents to gather a broader range of opinions on the management and living conditions.
- Checking with local tenant rights organizations or the Better Business Bureau for any records of complaints against Lake Bon Bon or MHC homes LLC.
Given the strong negative sentiments expressed in the detailed review, it would be prudent for potential residents to seek alternative mobile home parks or RV parks in the Pinellas Park area that have more positive and reliable resident feedback regarding management, maintenance, and financial transparency.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The feedback focuses entirely on negative experiences with the park's management and financial practices.
In conclusion, Lake Bon Bon Mobile Home Park in Pinellas Park, FL, appears to be a community facing significant challenges, according to recent resident feedback. Concerns about increasing rent, poor and inaccessible management, lack of maintenance, and questionable billing practices regarding land taxes paint a concerning picture. While the park may have been a positive living environment in the past, the recent experiences reported suggest a decline. Prospective residents should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering this park, and perhaps prioritize exploring other options in the "RV parks near me" category in the Pinellas Park area.

Office open only Tuesday for a few hours Agree MHC homes LLC should get new management because the one we have now is worthless and a screaming liar, she go base on what people emailed her and not by solid evidence and equalityOnly one star because is the low you can give but 0 star is my rate
Dec 10, 2024 · Chesse-T BermudezI cant tell you, to be honest. Because I wasn't there. I was promised to learn plumbing. But I'm always let down and left behind. I'm unloved and abandon.
Sep 05, 2024 · Joe-Shelby KingManagement not helpful at all when it comes to taking care of flooding issues that are related to the land I am leasing. Wrote several e-mails and txt messages but never received a response. Rude and noisy neighbors. Can't wait till I move out of there and I just moved in 5 month ago. Also your water bill is split between all homes on property, no matter how many people live in that home. I pay almost $60 per month for water & sewer and I'm by myself. Ridiculous !!
Oct 04, 2021 · Jana AlexanderI have lived here about 3 years now and it was kept up very nice but recently I don't know who the manager is and what kind of landscaping company they have. The grounds look awful.
Aug 22, 2023 · Chrisy JonesAwesome, well maintained 55+ community. Great location, near everything.
