Made To Go RV Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a temporary stay, Made To Go RV located at 111 Thomas Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70807, USA, presents a functional option with a focus on essential amenities and security. You can contact them at (225) 301-0751 or +1 225-301-0751. Based on recent customer reviews, Made To Go RV offers a blend of positives and negatives that potential guests should consider.
While one reviewer noted that it's "not the absolute greatest, but also not the worst by any means," this sentiment suggests a park that meets basic needs without necessarily offering premium features. However, the specific positive aspects highlighted in the reviews provide a clearer picture of what Made To Go RV offers.
One of the significant advantages mentioned is the attentive owner. A reviewer specifically noted a "Great owner" who was observed "spraying what I believe was insecticide weekly." This suggests a proactive approach to pest control, which is an important aspect of maintaining a comfortable and hygienic environment in an RV park. Regular pest management can contribute to a more pleasant stay for guests, especially in the Louisiana climate where insects can be prevalent.
Another practical feature of Made To Go RV is the on-site dumpster. The reviewer mentioned that it's "empty most of the time cause the trash services are timely." Efficient waste management is crucial for the cleanliness and overall appeal of any RV park. Timely trash services and a readily available dumpster contribute to a more sanitary and organized environment for guests.
For those who need to take care of laundry during their stay, Made To Go RV offers a "Laundromat on site." While convenient, the cost of using the facilities was noted, with "a load of laundry is up to 8$ if you want hot water and a long dry cycle." Potential guests should factor this cost into their budget if on-site laundry is a necessity. The availability of a laundromat, even with a noted cost, is still a valuable amenity for travelers, especially those on longer trips or working away from home.
Security is another key feature at Made To Go RV, with a "Security gate w/ privacy fence" mentioned in one review and "fenced area behind coded entry gate" in another. A security gate with coded entry and a privacy fence can provide a sense of security and privacy for guests and their belongings. This feature can be particularly appealing for those traveling with valuable equipment or seeking a more secure environment.
Despite these positives, the reviews also highlight some notable downsides of staying at Made To Go RV. One recurring issue is the noise from nearby trains, with reviewers mentioning that "you can hear trains moving nightly" and simply "train." Train noise can be disruptive, especially for light sleepers, and is an important factor to consider when choosing an RV park, particularly for longer stays.
Another environmental factor to consider is that the park is situated "on a gravel lot." While gravel lots are common in some RV parks, one reviewer suggested that it "can be a bit dull over some time I’d imagine." Gravel lots may also lead to more dust and require more careful leveling of RVs compared to paved or concrete sites.
One reviewer specifically mentioned that they "Would recommend for people going to the local outage." This suggests that Made To Go RV may be a popular or convenient option for workers who travel to Baton Rouge for temporary work assignments, such as plant outages. This could indicate that the park is accustomed to accommodating the needs of this specific type of guest, who often require longer but temporary stays with essential amenities.
Further downsides mentioned include a booking limitation: "you can only book for a month at a time...no wifi." The lack of Wi-Fi can be a significant inconvenience for many travelers who rely on internet access for work, communication, or entertainment. The monthly booking restriction might not be suitable for those seeking shorter stays or those whose plans are uncertain.
On the upside, in addition to the fenced and gated security and the on-site laundromat, one review notes "pull in parking" and "complete utilities." Pull-in parking can be easier and more convenient for some RVers compared to back-in sites. The availability of complete utilities (presumably including water, electricity, and sewer hookups) is essential for a comfortable RV stay.
In summary, Made To Go RV in Baton Rouge offers essential amenities such as an on-site laundromat (with a noted cost), a dumpster with timely service, and security features including a gate with coded entry and a privacy fence. The owner is reportedly attentive to pest control. However, potential guests should be aware of the downsides, which include noise from nightly train traffic, a gravel lot, the lack of Wi-Fi, and a booking policy limited to monthly stays. Despite these drawbacks, the park is recommended by at least one reviewer, particularly for those working local outages.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" for a temporary stay in Baton Rouge, Made To Go RV presents a no-frills option with a focus on basic necessities and security. It might be particularly suitable for those who do not require Wi-Fi and are staying for a month at a time, such as temporary workers in the area. The train noise and gravel lot are environmental factors to consider based on individual preferences and sensitivities.
As there is no specific promotional information provided in the reviews, potential guests should contact Made To Go RV directly at (225) 301-0751 or +1 225-301-0751 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any specific policies or promotions they may be offering. It would also be beneficial to clarify the exact costs for laundry services and to inquire about any potential mitigation of the train noise for sites located closer to the tracks.
In conclusion, Made To Go RV offers a secure, albeit basic, temporary RV accommodation option in Baton Rouge. Its strengths lie in its attentive owner, on-site laundry, and security features. The limitations of no Wi-Fi, monthly booking only, train noise, and a gravel lot should be weighed against individual needs and preferences when considering this park for your "RV parks near me" search.
