Environment and Location:
Lakeridge RV Park is described as a "Nice clean RV park" by multiple reviewers, emphasizing a key aspect of the environment. Cleanliness is a significant factor for RV travelers, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant stay. The consistent mention of this suggests that the park management prioritizes maintaining a tidy and well-kept property.
A major advantage of Lakeridge RV Park is its convenient in-town location. One reviewer specifically noted that there are "tons of places within walking distance to eat or shop." This walkability is a significant benefit, allowing guests to easily access local amenities without the need to drive, which can be particularly appealing for short-term stays or those needing quick access to services.
Another reviewer, traveling through the area due to vehicle repairs, found the park "perfect because it's in town and close to the repair shop." This highlights the park's strategic location for travelers who might need to be near specific services within Gun Barrel City.
The park is also described as "clean and quiet" by another reviewer, reinforcing the positive aspects of its environment. A quiet atmosphere is often desired by RVers seeking a peaceful night's rest or a relaxing stay.
The name "Lakeridge" might suggest proximity to a lake, potentially Cedar Creek Lake, which Gun Barrel City is located on. While the reviews don't explicitly mention lake access or views from the park itself, its location within Gun Barrel City makes it likely that the lake and its recreational opportunities are easily accessible by a short drive.
Services and Amenities:
The first reviewer mentions the availability of "showers, bathrooms," indicating that the park provides communal restroom and shower facilities for its guests. This is a valuable amenity, especially for those with smaller RVs or those who prefer not to use their on-board facilities.
While specific details about hookups (water, electricity, sewer) are not explicitly stated in the reviews, the fact that it's referred to as an "RV park" implies that these essential services are likely available at each site. The positive experiences of travelers needing to stay for a few days suggest that the basic infrastructure for RVs is in place.
One reviewer mentioned that the "owner is amazing," indicating positive interactions with the park's management. A friendly and helpful owner can significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
The reviews do not mention amenities such as laundry facilities, a pool, or recreational areas. This suggests that Lakeridge RV Park might focus on providing clean and conveniently located sites with basic necessities rather than a wide array of resort-style amenities.
Features and Potential Considerations:
A key feature of Lakeridge RV Park is its suitability for "a short term start." One reviewer explicitly mentioned this, suggesting that the park is well-equipped and conveniently located for those who are just beginning their travels or need a temporary base.
However, the same reviewer also noted that the park might be "better for a short term start rather than a long term," and that "The managers can be a bit picky about visitors." This is an important consideration for those contemplating a longer stay or who anticipate having frequent guests. Potential long-term residents might want to inquire about the park's policies on visitors to ensure they align with their needs.
Despite this potential limitation regarding visitors, the park is described as "Truly a traveler's dream" by another reviewer, who felt "quite safe here" and would "definitely stay here again." This positive sentiment from a traveler highlights the park's appeal for those on the road.
The walkability to nearby shops and restaurants is a significant feature that sets Lakeridge RV Park apart, offering convenience and easy access to local services and dining options.
The clean and quiet environment contributes to a comfortable and relaxing stay for guests.
Promotional Information and Local Context:
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Gun Barrel City, Lakeridge RV Park can be promoted based on its cleanliness, convenient in-town location with walkable access to amenities, and its reputation as a safe and welcoming place for travelers. The positive feedback about the owner being "amazing" adds a personal touch to the park's appeal.
Gun Barrel City is located on the shores of Cedar Creek Lake, a popular destination for fishing, boating, and other water activities. While Lakeridge RV Park might not be directly on the lake, its central location within the city provides easy access to the lake and its surrounding attractions.
The park's suitability for short-term stays makes it an ideal option for tourists visiting the lake area, individuals passing through, or those needing temporary accommodation while in Gun Barrel City for specific purposes, such as vehicle repairs.
Potential promotional material could emphasize the convenience of being able to walk to restaurants and shops, the peace and quiet of the park, and the assurance of a clean and safe environment. The positive comment about the owner could also be highlighted to convey a sense of welcoming hospitality.

Lakeridge RV Park Reviews
Nice clean RV park, however it's better for a short term start rather than a long term. The managers can be a bit picky about visitors. Other than that it's a nice place with showers, bathrooms, and tons of places within walking distance to eat or shop.
Apr 02, 2025 · Michael O'BanionWhile traveling from Georgia to Nevada, my truck started having transmission problems. I stopped in Gun Barrel City to have the repairs done and needed to stay for a few days. This RV Park is perfect because it's in town and close to the repair shop. This park is clean and quiet, the owner is amazing and I feel quite safe here. Truly a traveler's dream, I would definitely stay here again.
Oct 17, 2024 · Juicyloo2One of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. We live in Anchorage Alaska traveled the West coast to Texas. Pulled in after hours, called the phone # left message. Have never been called back so fast. Gave us a space # and said she'd see us tomorrow. Very nice concrete slaps with full hookups. Nice grass yards. Super low prices, very clean, you can see they care about their property on how well they maintain it. Will definitely be staying here next time I'm visiting my brother. Thank you for making our three days in enjoyable.
Aug 24, 2016 · Beverly OvittVery cute and clean RV park. Most residents live here full time and were no problem. We were put on a large, level concrete pad. There are no laundry facilities, but it is close to everything. A hospital is across the street, mexican restaurants are everywhere, and vintage shopping was fun! We would stay here again. We stayed one week in a Class A Motorcoach.

Men and women must share the 2 that are there.Washer and dryer are in same small building. Lots of grass. Very quiet place. Close to all shopping mile or less.
