Lamplighter Village Introduce
While your search for "RV parks near me" might lead you to various housing options, it's important to understand that Lamplighter Village, located at 10767 Jamacha Blvd, Spring Valley, CA 91978, USA, is a mobile home park offering long-term residential living rather than temporary RV sites. For local users considering a move to a mobile home community in the Spring Valley area, the available resident feedback regarding Lamplighter Village presents a number of serious concerns that warrant careful consideration. You can contact them at (888) 506-4227 or +1 888-506-4227 for inquiries, but it is strongly advised to weigh the provided reviews heavily in your decision-making process.
One resident begins by stating that Lamplighter Village is a "good area to live in," suggesting that the location itself might be appealing. However, this positive initial sentiment is quickly overshadowed by significant criticisms of the management. The reviewer notes that while management is quick to address aesthetic issues and enforce rules regarding property maintenance with photographs and notifications, they are reportedly unresponsive and dismissive when residents bring their own concerns to the office. This inconsistency in management's attention – being proactive on their own terms but reactive or neglectful towards resident-initiated issues – is a major point of contention.
A specific complaint is directed towards a "blond older lady" working in the office, who is described as having "horrible customer service," particularly as the first point of contact for visitors and residents. The reviewer recommends addressing issues with the "other manager" who purportedly possesses better communication skills. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the professionalism and helpfulness of the office staff, which can significantly impact residents' experiences and their ability to resolve issues effectively.
The issue of loose animals roaming the property is another significant concern raised. The reviewer recounts an instance where they were wrongly accused of having a loose dog that did not match their own indoor pet. Despite providing proof of other loose dogs and cats belonging to other residents, the reviewer claims that management has taken no action to address this problem. This lack of response to a potential safety and nuisance issue is troubling.
More alarmingly, the reviewer states that their children have had an "accident where dogs have tried biting them when playing in their backyard." This is a serious safety concern that directly impacts the well-being of residents, especially families with children. The alleged inaction by management in addressing the issue of loose and potentially aggressive dogs is deeply concerning and could indicate a lack of commitment to resident safety.
Maintenance of amenities is another area of dissatisfaction. The reviewer mentions that the saunas have been non-functional since they moved in, with no attempts made to repair them. Despite this lack of maintenance on existing amenities, the rent has reportedly been increased. While rent increases are not inherently criticized, the reviewer argues that these funds should be used to maintain and improve the park's facilities.
The condition of the pool and jacuzzi is described as "disgusting and very dirty," with the recommendation that they should be cleaned on a weekly basis. The reviewer even compares the maintenance unfavorably to a neighboring manufactured home park, stating that their pool maintenance is better despite Lamplighter Village residents paying more rent. The pool is further described as looking like an "abandoned project," with no recent efforts to fix it, raising concerns as summer approaches and the amenity becomes more desirable.
A second reviewer echoes the negative experiences with a "white old lady" working at the park, describing her as someone who "seems to just cause problems and issues for no reason" and having "terrible social skills." A specific instance is cited where this individual allegedly complained about the resident's porch and staircase being a fire hazard and claimed they were constructed without authorization, despite being present when the resident moved in. The resident states they only rebuilt and repainted the decaying structures. The reviewer expresses frustration over the expensive rent and the negative interactions with this staff member, suggesting she takes pleasure in making residents' lives miserable.
The stark and consistent negativity in these reviews regarding the management and the maintenance of amenities paints a concerning picture of Lamplighter Village. While the location might be considered "good" by one reviewer, the operational and interpersonal aspects of the community appear to be significant sources of dissatisfaction for at least these two residents. There is no information provided about other potential services or features of the park, such as laundry facilities, community rooms, organized activities, or pet policies beyond the issue of loose animals. Similarly, no promotional information is available.
In conclusion, while Lamplighter Village in Spring Valley might be situated in a desirable location, potential residents should be extremely cautious due to the serious concerns raised in the available reviews regarding the management's customer service, responsiveness to resident issues (particularly concerning safety and loose animals), and the poor maintenance of amenities like the saunas, pool, and jacuzzi. The negative experiences with at least one staff member are also significant red flags. Local users considering this mobile home park should thoroughly investigate these issues, perhaps by speaking with current residents not represented in these reviews, before making any decisions about residing in Lamplighter Village. The strong and specific nature of the complaints warrants a high degree of caution.

Lamplighter Village Reviews
Where do I start!! Lamplighter Village is a good area to live in with that being said let’s talk about management. When it comes to management, they are always fast to take pictures and call you out regarding issues which need to be fix in a timely manner. When you bring issues to the office, they take no importance to issues brought upon. Examples blond older lady should not work in this property since she has horrible costumer service specially to have in as the first person to talk to when coming to the office my recommendation address issue with the other manager who has way better skills when communicating concerns. The office has brought to my attention that I have loose dog on the premises, ironic when I only have one and does not look anything like the one in the pictures and which is an indoor dog. When address they want to see prove and I have provided proof that they are loose dogs and cats rooming all over the property and nothing has been done and do not belong to me. My children have had accident where dogs have tried biting them when playing in their backyard. Since I move in, I have mention that the saunas does not work and nothing has been done to fix this issue, but they increase rent price, which is no issue, but use that money to maintain amenities within the park. Maintain pool and jacuzzi clean it is disgusting and very dirty and should be done on weekly basis. The manufacture park next door has better maintenance on their pool that insane when we pay more rent. Fix the pool soon, nothing has been done lately to fix this amenity looks to me as an abandoned project, summer is around the conner.
May 06, 2023 · araceli morenoTerrible place to live the white old lady who works there seems to just cause problems and issues for no reason. One instance is that she complained about our porch and staircase being a fire hazard and then claiming that we constructed it without authorization, when it was already built there when I first moved in. The only thing we did with the porch and staircase was rebuild it and repaint it because it was decaying and breaking apart. As for the staircase, they are literally in every mobile home and they're saying it was a distraction and a hazard. Don't look for a home here as the rent is expensive and the old hag has terrible social skills and would make fun of you as if she enjoys making the resident's lives miserable
May 12, 2023 · JohnAVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! EXPENSIVE, DIRTY, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! One of the most expensive mobile home parks in San Diego with the least to offer. Lived here since I was a kid (over 20 years). Management is beyond rude, directly racist and they send a rental increase notice EVERY year like clockwork (the absolute most legally allowed). They make sure to ignore all resident complaints, and instead of actually cleaning the pool and shared facilities, they spend their time and money attacking residents for where they park their car instead. Perhaps instead of taking pictures of peoples property and calling tow trucks on your own residents for parking at their own houses, maybe provide parking or actually patrol the 24 hour GUEST spaces that management all uses to park their cars in daily. The old blonde lady who works in the office and throws her cigarettes in the plants (AND LIVES HERE) treats everyone like scum, and you can't even have a professional conversation with her. Please for your sanity, do not do business with these people if you can afford otherwise.
Jul 28, 2022 · Sophia WilliamsLots of Stray cats roaming around for someone being allergic to cats makes it difficult to want to move in. I also have a older brother who lives here and wanting to come visit him is a hassle there is never any parking cause the occupants are moving there cars in where the visitor parking is. They should suggest maybe improving the whole situation.
Jun 13, 2018 · Gabriel CovarrubiasIt is a pretty good place. We have good neighbors that are nice and friendly. A couple of times riff raff moved in but they didn't stay long. We were not used to living in close quarters and had to adjust to our surroundings. But I would say living here has been a pretty good experience. Most of the kids I have seen have been very nice and polite. Yes they do hang out in front of the clubhouse but hey...they are teens. It is better hanging out talking and having fun than off getting in trouble (and no I don't have teens my children are grown). I do get frustrated at the little kids not being watched. They do get in the road and I am so afraid they will get hurt. I may just live on a good street. I haven't heard a lot noise and disturbances. My father lives with us and being from the south he has to socialize and speak to everyone that passes by. He has everyone looking to see if he is outside so they can say hi. He has made many friends. He really enjoys the people here.
