Legion RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" and find yourself drawn to the Crockett, Texas area, Legion RV Park, located at 1700 Edmiston Dr, Crockett, TX 75835, USA, might be just the tranquil stop you're looking for. You can reach them at (936) 400-0952 or +1 936-400-0952 to inquire about availability and rates. Based on feedback from fellow travelers, Legion RV Park offers a quiet and convenient option for those exploring the region.
The environment at Legion RV Park is consistently described as "quiet," making it an appealing choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat. This tranquility sets it apart from potentially busier RV parks and contributes to a relaxing stay. Its location offers a unique advantage, being situated across from the rodeo grounds. This proximity could be particularly attractive to visitors attending rodeo events or those interested in experiencing local Texan culture. Additionally, the park's closeness to a "beautiful park" provides opportunities for leisurely walks, enjoying nature, and perhaps even recreational activities. For those prioritizing a serene setting and access to local attractions when searching for "RV parks near me," Legion RV Park presents a favorable option.
In terms of services and features, Legion RV Park offers essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The presence of "laundry facilities with showers" is a significant convenience for travelers, especially those on longer journeys. Having these on-site eliminates the need to seek out external facilities, adding to the overall ease of staying at the park. The availability of "full hookups at site" is another crucial feature, typically including water, electricity, and sewer connections. This allows RVers to comfortably utilize all the amenities within their own vehicles without any hassle. While specific details about the amperage of the electrical hookups are not mentioned, the presence of full hookups generally caters to a wide range of RV types and sizes.
One reviewer specifically mentioned that the RV pads are "grass and spacious." Spacious pads are always a welcome feature, providing more room for maneuvering your RV, setting up your campsite, and enjoying some outdoor space. The grass surface can also contribute to a more natural and less stark environment compared to gravel or concrete pads. However, it's worth noting that another reviewer pointed out the absence of shade ("there is no shade"). This could be a significant consideration, especially during the hot Texas summer months. If shade is a priority for you when looking at "RV parks near me," you might want to inquire about the availability of shaded spots or plan accordingly with awnings or other shade solutions.
The internal infrastructure of the park is described as having "roads are a little bumpy." While this might not be a major issue for all RVers, those with larger rigs or mobility concerns might want to take this into account. Driving slowly and carefully within the park might be necessary. It's also mentioned that there are "several fulltime residents" at Legion RV Park. The presence of long-term residents can often contribute to a sense of community and security within an RV park. They can also be a valuable source of local information.
Customer service at Legion RV Park appears to be a strong point. One reviewer specifically mentioned that "Ben was very nice and helped me get hooked up to electrical." This personal assistance upon arrival can make a significant positive impression. Furthermore, the manager is described as "very polite and can answer questions about Crockett." This indicates that the management is not only helpful with park-related inquiries but also knowledgeable about the local area, which can be valuable for visitors looking to explore Crockett and its surroundings. This level of helpfulness and local knowledge can greatly enhance the overall experience of staying at an "RV park near me."
While there is no explicit mention of promotional information in the provided reviews, the positive feedback regarding the quiet environment, essential amenities like laundry and full hookups, spacious grass pads, and helpful management serves as an implicit recommendation. For those seeking a no-frills, peaceful basecamp while exploring Crockett and its vicinity, Legion RV Park appears to be a solid option. Its proximity to the rodeo grounds and a park adds to its appeal for specific interests and recreational opportunities.
When considering Legion RV Park as one of your "RV parks near me" options, it's important to weigh the pros and cons based on your individual needs and preferences. The quiet atmosphere, full hookups, laundry and shower facilities, and helpful management are definite advantages. The spacious grass pads are also a plus. However, the lack of shade and the potentially bumpy roads might be drawbacks for some. The presence of full-time residents could be seen as either a positive or neutral aspect, depending on your personal preferences for the type of RV park experience you are seeking.
To make the most informed decision, it would be beneficial to contact Legion RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers. You can inquire about current rates, specific details about the hookups (e.g., electrical amperage), the condition of the roads, and whether there are any shaded sites available. You might also want to ask about the proximity to the "beautiful park" mentioned and any other local attractions that might be of interest. Speaking with the manager directly can provide you with the most up-to-date information and allow you to address any specific concerns you might have when choosing from the "RV parks near me."
In conclusion, Legion RV Park in Crockett, Texas, offers a quiet and convenient option for RV travelers. Its proximity to the rodeo grounds and a park, coupled with essential amenities like full hookups, laundry, and showers, makes it a practical choice. The spacious grass pads and helpful management further enhance its appeal. While the lack of shade and potentially bumpy roads are factors to consider, the overall positive feedback suggests that Legion RV Park provides a pleasant and functional base for exploring the Crockett area. May 13, 2024 · Arcdout WeldingNice quiet place to spend a couple nights. Off the beaten path. Showers and laundry on site. Took a walk through the beautiful park. Ben was very nice and helped me get hooked up to electrical. Pads are grass and spacious, full hookups at site. Several fulltime residents. Roads are a little bumpy and there is no shade.
Jul 14, 2016 · Stace EwingWe only dump here , they charge 5.00. Very nice people camping. Put 5.00 in slot by window and door for dump charge. Very muddy when it rains some grass. Dirt and grass lot and no shortage of Tx fire ants. But, TX fire ants everywhere.
Jan 18, 2022 · Cindy MunsellGet and fast customer service. We made an emergency stop to dump our rental RV gray water. They were very accommodating and the price was right.
Jul 25, 2017 · Tiffany SharpeThe park is basic but well taken care of by the management. The facilities are very clean and the on-site managers are very friendly and professional. This park has lower rates than other RV parks in Crockett.
