Logan's Pass RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama region, Logan's Pass RV Park is located at 6835 Forest Dale Dr, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, USA. You can reach them at (205) 399-3304 or +1 205-399-3304 for inquiries. However, it is crucial to consider recent customer feedback when evaluating this option for your camping needs.
Based on the limited reviews available online, the overall sentiment towards Logan's Pass RV Park appears to be predominantly negative, with significant concerns raised about various aspects of the campground. One reviewer explicitly stated, "That by far is the worst campground we have ever stayed at," indicating a highly unsatisfactory experience. This strong statement should prompt potential visitors to carefully weigh the specific issues mentioned.
One of the primary complaints revolves around the size and suitability of the gravel pads for parking. The reviewer noted that the pad was "not wide enough to park and have a place for chairs or grill." This suggests that the campsites may lack sufficient space to comfortably accommodate an RV along with the typical setup for outdoor living, which is a significant consideration for many campers who value having space to relax outside their vehicle.
Another serious concern raised by the same reviewer is the presence of pests, specifically ants. They reported discovering ants in their 5th wheel after leaving Logan's Pass RV Park. This suggests a potential issue with pest control at the campground, which can be a significant inconvenience and discomfort for travelers. The presence of ants inside an RV can lead to further problems with food storage and overall hygiene.
The location of Logan's Pass RV Park is also a point of criticism. The campground is described as being "right off busy and truck noisy hwy 82." Proximity to a busy highway often translates to significant noise pollution, which can detract from the peacefulness and enjoyment typically sought during a camping trip. The noise from passing trucks, in particular, can be disruptive, especially during the night.
Adding to the negative feedback, another reviewer simply described the campground as "a hell hole," which is a highly unfavorable and condemning assessment. While this review lacks specific details, it reinforces the strongly negative sentiment expressed by the other reviewer and suggests a potentially unpleasant environment.
In contrast to the overwhelmingly negative feedback, one reviewer offered a more nuanced perspective, stating that it was a "small quiet campsite." However, this positive aspect was immediately followed by several caveats. This reviewer mentioned being "just happy no ants wanted to come in as previous reviews stated," acknowledging the validity of the pest concern raised by another guest. They also noted that the "ground is very uneven," which can make setting up and leveling an RV challenging and potentially uncomfortable.
Furthermore, this more balanced reviewer commented on the pricing, stating that the "price is high for what you get (elec., water, & sewer)." They drew a comparison to KOA campgrounds, suggesting that for a similar price point, KOA likely offers "a lot nicer" experience. This implies that the amenities and overall quality at Logan's Pass RV Park may not justify the cost. The reviewer did concede that it was "very quiet" during their stay and "good enough for one night," suggesting that it might serve as a basic overnight stop for some, despite its drawbacks.
Considering the totality of the available reviews, potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware of the significant concerns raised about Logan's Pass RV Park. These include issues with campsite size, potential pest problems (specifically ants), noise from a nearby busy highway, uneven ground, and a perception of high pricing relative to the value and compared to other campgrounds. While one reviewer noted it being quiet during their short stay, this was accompanied by several negative observations.
Given this information, it is strongly recommended that local users considering Logan's Pass RV Park conduct further research and potentially contact the park directly at (205) 399-3304 or +1 205-399-3304 to inquire about the specific concerns raised in the reviews. Asking about campsite dimensions, pest control measures, noise levels, and the leveling of sites would be prudent. It might also be beneficial to inquire about the amenities offered beyond basic hookups (electricity, water, and sewer) to assess whether the pricing aligns with the services provided. Exploring other "RV parks near me" in the Tuscaloosa area with more consistently positive reviews might also be a worthwhile step in the decision-making process to ensure a more satisfactory camping experience.

Apr 25, 2025 · Marci Langfordsmall quiet campsite. i was just happy no ants wanted to come in as previous reviews stated. ground is very uneven. price is high for what you get (elec., water, & sewer) - koa is priced about the same and prob a lot nicer. but it was very quiet and good enough for one night.
Apr 30, 2025 · Deanne RamseyPlace has no amenities at all. We stayed for one night and the next morning our camper was infested with ants. As we were closing up our camper I noticed some ant bait traps around our site. Two days later we are still finding ants.
Sep 01, 2024 · David FroelichThis has been a great place to stay at! It’s newer and clean, but doesn’t have many amenities except for free electricity and water. I would like to see a laundry unit or pet area in the future and it would make this place a 5 star! Plus it’s very affordable and the woman I spoke with on the phone was very kind and accommodating. We will definitely stay here in the future!
Jul 04, 2023 · Kaylen HoltzapfelIt's right on the highway, so you hear all the traffic. The trees are the best part of the park. It does have electric and water.
