Magnolia Beach RV Park - Port Lavaca Texas Introduce
Are you searching for the perfect RV park near you for your next adventure? Look no further than Magnolia Beach RV Park, nestled in the charming coastal town of Port Lavaca, Texas. Located at 352 Margie Tewmey Rd, this RV park offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the Texas Gulf Coast. While online information and customer reviews provide a mixed perspective, let's delve into what Magnolia Beach RV Park potentially offers and what you should be aware of when planning your stay.
Magnolia Beach RV Park boasts a convenient location in Port Lavaca, placing you within easy reach of the area's attractions. For those seeking proximity to the water, the park's name suggests a potential connection to Magnolia Beach, known for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Imagine parking your RV and having the chance to explore the coastline, enjoy the sea breeze, and perhaps even indulge in some beachcombing. The address confirms its location within Port Lavaca, making it a viable option for travelers specifically looking for RV parks in this region of Texas.
Based on the limited information available, Magnolia Beach RV Park appears to offer full hookup sites with 50-amp electrical service. This is a significant advantage for RVers who require these amenities for a comfortable and convenient stay. Full hookups typically include water, sewer, and electrical connections, allowing you to utilize all the features of your RV without any hassle. The mention of concrete spots and concrete side patios for some sites, like site six as mentioned in a review, suggests that at least some areas within the park offer a stable and relatively clean surface for parking and outdoor living.
One customer review highlighted the presence of back-in sites. This information is crucial for RVers as it dictates the maneuvering required to park their vehicles. Knowing the type of sites available helps in planning your arrival and ensuring your RV is compatible with the designated parking space.
Interestingly, one review mentions "free camping on the beach" and "great rules posted that allows maximum freedom and still keeps respect of others." This suggests that there might be an adjacent or nearby area offering a more rustic, self-contained camping experience directly on the beach. This could be a significant draw for those who prefer a more natural and less structured camping environment. However, it's important to note that this experience might be separate from the RV park itself and might have its own set of regulations and available amenities.
However, it is crucial to consider the less positive aspects highlighted in the customer reviews. One reviewer expressed significant disappointment, stating that their online expectations did not align with their actual experience. A key issue raised was the discrepancy in site availability upon arrival, although the reviewer did acknowledge the park's prompt follow-up call as a positive aspect of their customer service.
Another significant concern was the condition of the park's amenities. The review mentioned broken picnic tables, with the recommendation of a tetanus shot due to their state. This suggests a potential lack of maintenance in this area. Furthermore, the reviewer noted litter on their site, indicating a possible need for improved groundskeeping.
The presence of unleashed dogs was also mentioned, which could be a concern for visitors with pets or those who prefer a leash-controlled environment for animal safety and comfort. The absence of an on-site host, contrary to what the reviewer had expected based on other reviews (possibly for a different park), could impact the level of assistance and security available to guests.
Perhaps the most significant discrepancy was the alleged lack of bathroom facilities, despite the website indicating their presence. This is a crucial amenity for many RVers, and its absence would significantly impact the overall experience. The reviewer also questioned the availability of clear water and Wi-Fi, stating they received no information about the latter. These are important considerations for travelers who rely on these services during their stay.
The reviewer concluded with advice to the owners to either update the website to accurately reflect the park's condition or to invest in the park's upkeep. With only 16 sites and a single dumpster mentioned as the only other amenity, it appears to be a relatively small and potentially basic RV park.
In summary, Magnolia Beach RV Park in Port Lavaca, Texas, offers a coastal location with the potential for beach access. It appears to provide full hookup sites with 50-amp service, and at least some sites have concrete pads and patios. There might also be an adjacent area for free beach camping with its own set of rules. However, potential visitors should be aware of the concerns raised in recent reviews regarding site availability upon arrival, the condition of picnic tables, litter on sites, unleashed dogs, the potential absence of an on-site host and bathroom facilities, and the uncertain availability of clear water and Wi-Fi.
Before making a reservation, it is highly recommended to contact Magnolia Beach RV Park directly at (409) 207-8337 or +1 409-207-8337 to inquire about the current condition of the park, the availability of amenities, and to clarify any discrepancies between online information and the actual offerings. Asking specific questions about bathroom facilities, Wi-Fi availability, site conditions, and pet policies will help you make an informed decision and ensure a more satisfactory RVing experience in the Port Lavaca area. While the location near the coast holds appeal, it's essential to have realistic expectations based on the recent feedback and to seek up-to-date information from the park management.

Magnolia Beach RV Park - Port Lavaca Texas Reviews
Really dislike giving low stars. I would have given a one-star review, but the other guests around us were decent. What we saw online that made us lean to reserving a spot at Magnolia Beach RV Park and what we experienced were completely different. Upon arrival, someone else was in the spot we reserved. Not a big deal as we were only staying two nights. So we moved over two spots and contacted the park to let them know. We left a message which was quickly followed up by a phone call from the park. Good customer service. They approved our move so we set up on site six, a back in full hookup 50 amp concrete spot with a concrete side patio and half of a picnic table. What?? Yes, the picnic table along with most picnic tables in the very small park were broken...a tetanus shot would be appropriate before a stay here if you want to use any of the picnic tables. Fragments of trash littered our site, too. Dogs ran around unleashed. There was no host to be found as indicated in reviews. No bathrooms facility as indicated by the website (maybe previous guests rated the wrong park?) We read that the water looked clear...what water? What wifi? We did not get any information about wifi.Advice to owners: either have the website reflect the park or take care of the park. There are only 16 sites and no other amenities except a single dumpster.

Apr 11, 2025 · tom SpainNice little stop on our road trip. Host was friendly and we shared some good conversation. Parking was easy and our spot was level. We stayed here with our Harvest Host Membership. Beach is not very far away.
