Martin Lake Resort Inc Introduce
Martin Lake Resort Inc, located at 14605 Parker Rd, Biloxi, MS 39532, USA, presents a complex picture based on recent customer reviews. For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Biloxi, Mississippi area, it is crucial to consider the diverse experiences reported by visitors to make an informed decision about whether this resort meets your needs and expectations.
One recent reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their experience at Martin Lake Resort Inc. Describing the location as a "dump," their feedback highlighted several areas of concern. While acknowledging that the sites are concrete and level, this was noted as the only positive aspect of their stay. The hookups were described as being situated in a swampy grass area, with drainage problems leading to persistent puddling even after rainfall. This could pose inconvenience and potential issues for RV connections and the surrounding environment of the campsites.
The condition of the communal facilities was a major point of criticism in this review. The "bath house" was deemed "untouchable," with specific issues mentioned, such as a missing window in the women's restroom that compromised privacy and raised security concerns. The reviewer also suggested that the cleanliness of the bathhouse was severely lacking, implying potential health risks. Similarly, the laundry facilities were described as being in such poor condition that clothes might come out dirtier than they went in, deterring guests from using them.
Beyond the physical condition of the park, the reviewer also raised concerns about the behavior of some residents. An incident involving an individual wandering through their site in a disoriented state, possibly indicative of substance abuse, contributed to a feeling of unease. The reviewer explicitly stated that "substance abuse is most definitely happening on these grounds," citing strong smells as evidence. Furthermore, the general appearance of many of the campers, described as being in "various states of disrepair with tarps and cement blocks everywhere," detracted from the overall aesthetic and potentially suggested a lack of upkeep and community standards.
The reviewer's negative experience culminated in an early departure after just one night of a planned six-night stay. The decision was prompted by the concerning observations and the unsettling experience of hearing gunshots on their first night, leading them to feel unsafe – a sentiment they had never experienced at any other campground. The strong recommendation was to "Just don't go here. It's not worth it," reflecting a deeply negative impression of Martin Lake Resort Inc.
However, another recent reviewer presented a starkly contrasting experience, describing their week-long visit as "enjoyable." This guest arrived very late and praised the staff for not only directing them to their lot but also assisting with parking, which was particularly helpful given they had a larger truck. The staff was also noted for being "very courteous" when requests were made regarding the repositioning of their vehicle. This positive interaction with the staff suggests a level of helpfulness and accommodation that was not reflected in the other review.
This second reviewer concluded by stating, "This is going to be our spot for visiting the area. We just can't say enough good things about it," indicating a highly positive impression and an intention to return. This significant difference in experiences highlights the potential for variability in the conditions or management of the park, or perhaps different expectations and priorities of the guests.
Given these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive objective assessment of Martin Lake Resort Inc based solely on this information. While one reviewer experienced significant issues related to the park's physical condition, safety concerns, and the behavior of some residents, the other found the staff helpful and their stay enjoyable.
For those considering Martin Lake Resort Inc as one of their "RV parks near me" options in Biloxi, it is crucial to weigh these differing perspectives. The positive review suggests that some guests have a pleasant experience, particularly noting the helpfulness of the staff. However, the detailed negative review raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of facilities, potential safety issues, and the overall environment of the park.
As the provided information does not include any details about the environment, specific services, features, or promotional offers from the management, it is strongly recommended that potential guests contact Martin Lake Resort Inc directly at (228) 875-9157 or +1 228-875-9157 to seek clarification and current information. Inquiring about the condition of the bathhouse and laundry facilities, security measures, site conditions (especially regarding drainage), and the general atmosphere of the park would be prudent.
It would also be beneficial to ask about the types of RV hookups available (electricity - 30/50 amp, water, sewer), the layout and size of the campsites, and any other amenities offered. Additionally, inquiring about the park's policies regarding residents and guests could provide further insight into the overall environment.
Given the significant discrepancies in the reviews, potential visitors might also consider looking for more recent feedback from other sources online to get a broader range of opinions before making a decision. The contrasting experiences suggest that conditions at the park might be variable or that different individuals have vastly different tolerances and expectations.
In conclusion, Martin Lake Resort Inc in Biloxi, MS, has received mixed reviews from recent guests. While one visitor praised the helpful staff and enjoyed their stay, another reported significant concerns regarding the park's cleanliness, safety, and overall condition. For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the area, it is essential to be aware of these differing experiences and to conduct further due diligence by contacting the park directly and seeking out additional reviews to make an informed decision that aligns with your travel needs and comfort levels.

Martin Lake Resort Inc Reviews
How anyone is giving this place more than 1 star, I have no idea! It's a dump! The sites are concrete and level, but that's about the only thing it has going for it. The hookups are in the grass, which is swampy. They must have some kind of drainage problem because the grass area is puddled even days after it rains. The "bath house" is untouchable. There is a window missing from the women's, so you can see through. And it looks like you might want to be up to date on your shots before you step inside. The laundry looks like your clothes would come out dirtier than when you went in. But, the real kicker is the residents. We had someone wander through our site with their pajama pants halfway down, so there was a full moon during the day. And it wasn't a fashion statement. She looked very out of it, and had no idea what was going on. Substance abuse is most definitely happening on these grounds. The smell is strong, and it's not the just mild, recreational stuff. Most of the campers look like you couldn't take them on the road. They are in various states of disrepair with tarps and cement blocks everywhere. We were supposed to stay 6 nights, but after seeing all this and then hearing gunshots our first night, we hightailed it outta there after just 1. We have never felt unsafe at a campground until this one. Just don't go here. It's not worth it.
Mar 07, 2025 · Rachel EllerbruchWe visited for a week. I cannot say enough about how enjoyable this place was. We arrived very late and the staff not only directed us to our lot but helped us park. We have a bigger truck and it tends to take up alot of space. The staff was very courteous when they asked me to move my vehicle for whatever reason. This is going to be our spot for visiting the area. We just can't say enough good things about it.
Jun 10, 2024 · John SochorThis place when we bought into it they had a policy no one could live here or stay here longer than two weeks and now we just drove though the park and it looks like a trailer park it’s awful iam ashamed to say we have been members since the 90’s I would not or will never recommend this place to anyone
Nov 15, 2024 · PamPro - Friendly helpful staff.Con- Appearance resembles the homeless encampments I see in major cities. Maybe two or three RVs in the place were road worthy, ours being one. Don’t recommend and will not be returning. See photos of our stay.
Jan 09, 2024 · X Marx the SpotVery quiet and friendly park♥︎ love the playground and the view of the lake from it. Love love love the pool and they let you swim until 9 which is awesome for cool night swims. Other places closed the pools at 6 or 7 which was a let down. We really enjoy being able to swim into the night. Very close to Biloxi beach and downtown OS which is awesome! Will come back soon
