Melody Acres Rv Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hutchinson, Kansas area? Melody Acres Rv Park, located at 1009 E Blanchard Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews available online. You can contact them at their phone number (620) 665-5048 or via their mobile number at +1 620-665-5048 to inquire about availability and their policies. When considering "RV parks near me," it is essential to weigh both the positive and negative feedback to determine if a particular park aligns with your needs and expectations.
One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the park management, alleging "constant harassment" over what they perceived as "petty stuff," such as taking a longer route through the park. This individual claimed that even after complying with requests, the management continued to push for eviction. Additionally, this reviewer mentioned a strict rule of no more than two vehicles per place, contrasting it with the park manager allegedly having six vehicles parked under carports at unoccupied sites while living in a fifth wheel. This discrepancy in enforcement, if accurate, could be a source of frustration for residents. Furthermore, this review raised concerns about the lack of a storm shelter, reported rudeness and disrespect from other people in the park, and alleged "tweakers coming and going all hours of the nite," suggesting potential safety and disturbance issues.
In contrast, another reviewer offered a more balanced perspective, describing Melody Acres Rv Park as a "quiet and reasonably priced campground/mobile home park on Hutchinson's south side." This suggests that the park might appeal to budget-conscious travelers seeking a relatively peaceful location. However, this reviewer also noted that the park "appears to have seen better days," indicating that the facilities might be somewhat dated. The bathhouse and laundry facilities were described as "adequate," suggesting they meet basic needs but may not be modern or luxurious.
Regarding the RV sites themselves, the second reviewer mentioned that "some sites have shade," which can be a significant benefit, especially during the hot Kansas summers. However, they also pointed out that "pull thrus have none," which might be a consideration for RVers who prefer the convenience of pull-through sites and value shade. This difference in site characteristics highlights the importance of inquiring about specific site features when making a reservation at "RV parks near me."
A significant positive aspect mentioned by the second reviewer was the friendliness and helpfulness of the couple working at the park. They recounted a personal experience where, upon arriving feeling sick from the heat and encountering electrical issues, the staff promptly assisted them by getting the AC and water hooked up while they cooled off. This act of kindness and efficiency in addressing a guest's needs suggests that at least some of the staff are dedicated to providing good service. This positive interaction could be a crucial factor for travelers who value helpful and responsive park personnel when choosing from "RV parks near me."
Considering these contrasting reviews, the environment of Melody Acres Rv Park seems to be a mix of quiet affordability with potential concerns regarding management interactions and the overall condition of the facilities. The presence of both RV sites and mobile homes suggests a diverse community, which can sometimes lead to varying expectations and experiences. The lack of a storm shelter, as mentioned by one reviewer, is a serious safety consideration, particularly in an area prone to severe weather. Potential guests should inquire about emergency procedures and the availability of shelter during storms.
The services at Melody Acres Rv Park appear to include basic amenities such as full hookups (implied by RV sites), bathhouse, and laundry facilities. However, the "adequate" description of the latter suggests they might be functional but not exceptional. The helpfulness of the staff in certain situations indicates a degree of service orientation, but this seems to be counterbalanced by the negative experiences reported with the park manager. When comparing "RV parks near me," it is important to ascertain the full range of services offered and the quality of these services.
Features of Melody Acres Rv Park mentioned in the reviews include some shaded sites and pull-through sites (though the latter lack shade). The presence of a couple working there who are described as friendly and helpful could also be considered a feature. However, the alleged lack of a storm shelter and the concerns about rude residents and nighttime activity are negative features that potential guests should be aware of. When evaluating "RV parks near me," safety and the overall atmosphere of the community are critical factors.
No promotional information is included in the provided data. It is common for "RV parks near me" to offer various rates depending on the length of stay, type of site, and season. Inquiring about daily, weekly, and monthly rates, as well as any potential discounts, would be advisable when contacting Melody Acres Rv Park.
In conclusion, Melody Acres Rv Park in Hutchinson, KS, presents a complex picture for those searching for "RV parks near me." While it is described as quiet and reasonably priced, with some staff members being friendly and helpful, there are also significant concerns raised about the park manager's behavior, strict and potentially unfairly enforced rules, the lack of a storm shelter, and alleged issues with other residents and nighttime activity. The facilities are described as adequate but possibly dated. Potential guests should carefully consider these contrasting viewpoints and weigh them against their own priorities. It is strongly recommended to contact Melody Acres Rv Park directly at (620) 665-5048 or +1 620-665-5048 to ask specific questions about their policies, safety procedures, amenities, and current rates before making a decision. Visiting the park in person, if feasible, could also provide a better sense of the environment and overall condition.

Melody Acres Rv Park Reviews
Constantly being harrassed by park manager about some real petty stuff. Like taking the long way through the park. And Even when complied with there request. They still push for eviction, Can't have more than 2 vehicles at a place . But park manager can have 6 vehicles and parks them under carports where people ain't living and they live in a fifth wheel. No storm shelter. People are rude and disrespectful and has tweakers coming and going all hours of the nite.
Jul 23, 2024 · CoryA quiet and reasonably priced campground/mobile home park on Hutchinson's south side. It appears to have seen better days. Bathhouse and laundry facilities are adequate.. Some sites have shade, pull thrus have none. The couple that works there are very friendly and helpful, especially when I arrived feeling sick from the 100° heat and could not get the electricity to work. They got the AC on.and water hooked up for me while I cooled off. Thanks and God bless.
Jul 19, 2023 · Nancy LongworthManagement acts as if it's a prison. And yells at people just driving in the park at them about how they aren't allowed to drive thru the park. Not even taking in to consideration that they mite be checking the park out to possibly renting but if they are gonna act that why would anyone rent from nazis!!!!!
Jun 14, 2024 · bob fellaThe management was easy to work with and super accommodating. You can't beat the price of $25/night for hookups with WiFi. It wasn't the most well maintained place we have stayed, but it served its purpose... and for that we are thankful. We would happily stay here again if we ever visit Hutch again.
Jul 04, 2020 · Cortni KirschVery quiet campground. Plenty of room between RV’s. Full hookups. Has a restroom/showers and laundry room but never had to use it so I can’t honestly rate that. The woman who runs the campground was very friendly and available. Overall for the price worth staying and I would stay again. If you are looking for a luxury full amenities place to park your RV this isn’t the campground for you.
