Discover Mirabel RV Park & Campground, a delightful destination nestled at 8400 River Rd in Forestville, California. Located in the scenic Sonoma County, Mirabel RV Park & Campground offers a unique camping experience with direct access to the Russian River, catering to both RV enthusiasts and tent campers. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' that combine natural beauty with convenient amenities, Mirabel presents a compelling option with distinct camping areas and river recreation opportunities.
According to customer reviews, Mirabel RV Park & Campground is divided into distinct sections, offering varied experiences for different types of campers. One section is noted to be primarily for permanent residents in trailers, while the camping area is conveniently located nearby. This suggests a community atmosphere within the park, with a dedicated space for temporary campers. A significant advantage highlighted by a reviewer is the spaciousness of the campsites in the camping area, ensuring that guests do not feel crowded and can enjoy their privacy and personal space.
A major draw of Mirabel RV Park & Campground is its direct access to the Russian River. One reviewer enthusiastically describes a leisurely float down the river, starting from the park's access point and drifting to Steelhead Beach in approximately 26 minutes. They also note the ease of walking back to the campsite in about 12 minutes, indicating a convenient and enjoyable way to experience the river. While the river water is initially described as murky, the reviewer points out that the current picks up quickly, suggesting a pleasant floating experience downstream.
The staff at Mirabel RV Park & Campground are commended for being "helpful and accommodating," which is a crucial aspect of a positive camping experience. Knowing that assistance is readily available can enhance the comfort and security of guests. Furthermore, the facilities at the campground receive positive feedback, with "showers" noted to have "good pressure and hot water," and the "toilets" described as "clean." These essential amenities contribute significantly to the overall comfort and convenience of campers.
Another reviewer provides a more detailed description of the campground's layout, highlighting that it is divided into two main spaces. The "upper level" is where RVs are parked, some occupied by long-term residents. Adjacent to this is a section specifically set up for camping with numbered sites, catering to RVs and potentially some tent campers who prefer more structured sites. The second area, located "down below," is described as a "grove of Redwood trees" dedicated to tent camping or small trailers. This area, referred to as "the club," features sites labeled with letters, offering a more immersive natural camping experience among the majestic redwoods.
The reviewer who stayed in campsite S within the Redwood grove found it to be "small but pleasantly perfect." Each campsite in this grove is equipped with essential camping amenities, including a "fire pit" and a "picnic table," enhancing the traditional camping experience. Additionally, the proximity to "a power outlet" at each site in the grove is a significant convenience for tent campers who may need to charge devices or use small electrical appliances. The presence of a "water tap right at our site" further adds to the ease and comfort of camping in the grove.
The Redwood grove at Mirabel RV Park & Campground is situated next to a "little creek," which adds to the scenic charm of the area. The park sometimes offers "canoes that you can rent from the site and canoe out to the river" via this creek, providing another recreational activity for guests. Although the canoes were not available during the reviewer's stay, the potential for canoeing adds to the appeal of this campground for those who enjoy water-based activities beyond just floating on the river.
The reviewer recounts enjoying "coffee in the sunshine by the creek" and listening to the "birdsong," painting a picture of a tranquil and nature-filled environment. The overall sentiment is that Mirabel RV Park & Campground was a "lovely surprise" offering a spontaneous "camping getaway on the Russian river without too much planning," indicating its accessibility and suitability for those seeking a quick escape to nature.
For those specifically searching for 'RV parks near me,' Mirabel RV Park & Campground offers spacious RV sites in the upper level, potentially catering to various sizes of recreational vehicles. The availability of hookups (water, electricity, and sewer) for these sites would be a key factor for RV travelers, although this is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. The proximity to the camping area and the overall community atmosphere might appeal to RVers who also enjoy interacting with other campers and having access to shared amenities like clean showers and toilets.
The unique offering of tent camping within a Redwood grove sets Mirabel apart from many other 'RV parks near me.' This provides an attractive option for tent campers seeking a more natural and shaded environment, complete with fire pits, picnic tables, and even power outlets at each site. The access to the creek and the potential for canoeing further enhance the appeal for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
In conclusion, Mirabel RV Park & Campground in Forestville, CA, offers a diverse camping experience with spacious RV sites and a charming tent camping area nestled in a Redwood grove. Its direct access to the Russian River provides opportunities for leisurely floating and potential canoeing. The helpful staff and clean amenities, including showers with good pressure and clean toilets, contribute to a comfortable stay. The positive feedback regarding the natural environment, the sense of community, and the well-maintained facilities makes Mirabel a noteworthy option for those searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Sonoma County region, whether they are RV travelers or tent camping enthusiasts seeking a getaway on the Russian River.

Mirabel RV Park & Campground Reviews
First part of this land is permeant residence (trail park) but the camping area is near by , each section is very spacious not crowded. Direct access to the Russian river , water is murky but after 10 min of floating the water current picks up & you end up at Steelhead Beach after 26 min of loafing. You can easily walk back to camp in 12 min. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Showers had good pressure and hot water, toilets were clean.
Jun 25, 2024 · Brittany NjissangA wonderful surprise of a campground! This place is divided into two spaces. One is the upper level where RVs are parked in people live in them, there is a side section set up for camping and the spaces have numbers. The other place is down below and it's a grove of Redwood trees and it's just for tent camping or small trailers. (This place is called the club) The sites here are labeled with letters. We stayed in campsite S which was small but pleasantly perfect. Each campsite in the Grove has a fire pit a picnic table and seem to be close to a power outlet. There was also a water tap right at our site. The Grove is next to a little creek where they sometimes have canoes that you can rent from the site and canoe out to the river. The canoes were not up and running when we stayed. We drank our coffee in the sunshine by the creek and listened to all the birdsong. Overall, a lovely surprise to have a camping getaway on the Russian river without too much planning.
Jun 16, 2024 · Malia LytleWe were lucky to have found the Russian River Campground. What a blessing. The best team, clean showers, great trails, the space is nice. The location is near the shopping center in Windsor, champagne cellars, Armstrong Grove Redwood trees, and of course, the gorgeous Russian River. We are so thankful to have stayed there. The beach is thirty minutes away in Jenner, California.
Aug 23, 2023 · American LoverThese pictures were from the 4th of July. The staff is very sweet and friendly and the campsites in the club area are very nice. With the campsites up top you have a trail down to the river where you can swim and enjoy the water. When we went the water was low in parts so we were able to walk upstream and float on our tubes back to the camping area. Over all I recommend coming here if you are looking for a spot to camp!
