Stonegate Mobile Home Park Introduce
For those exploring "RV parks near me" in the Santa Rosa area and considering a more permanent residential option, Stonegate Mobile Home Park, located at 5250 Whispering Creek Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, USA, presents a community with a notable advantage in terms of affordability but also significant concerns raised by its long-term residents. A thorough understanding of these contrasting perspectives is crucial for anyone considering making Stonegate their home.
One of the primary benefits of Stonegate Mobile Home Park, as highlighted by a resident of ten years, is its relatively low space rent, reported to be less than $500.00 per month, in addition to gas and garbage fees. This affordability may be a significant draw for individuals and families seeking budget-friendly housing options in the Santa Rosa area. The park also accommodates children, although it is noted that a significant portion of the residents are over 60 years of age and described as very nice.
However, this positive aspect of affordability is juxtaposed with several serious concerns raised by a resident who has lived in the park for approximately fifteen years. This long-term resident initially found the park to be "just O.K." for the first three years but has since experienced a significant decline in the living conditions, at least in their specific area of the park.
A major issue highlighted is the exceptionally poor condition of the street where this resident resides. This suggests that infrastructure within the park may be inconsistent, with some areas potentially suffering from neglect or lack of maintenance. Such conditions can impact the quality of life for residents living on these streets, affecting accessibility and overall neighborhood aesthetics.
Furthermore, the resident expresses significant distress over their immediate surroundings. Opening their shutters reveals a view described as a "junk yard," which they find sickening. This indicates a severe lack of upkeep and potentially the accumulation of unsightly debris in the vicinity of some homes. Such conditions can negatively impact the mental well-being and overall living experience of residents.
The issue of poor maintenance extends beyond individual views. The reviewer notes a neighboring property with uncontrolled weed growth around the house, further contributing to the unkempt appearance of the area. This suggests a potential lack of enforcement of community standards regarding property maintenance, leading to a decline in the overall aesthetic of the park.
Another significant concern raised involves the feeding of feral cats by some residents. While well-intentioned, this practice has unintended consequences, attracting nocturnal wildlife such as foxes, raccoons, and possums, which forage for the readily available food left outside. This poses a potential threat to small pets and can create disturbances during the night. The presence of feral animals can also raise concerns about hygiene and safety within the community.
Adding to the disruption, the long-term resident reports constant nighttime activity, with cars and people frequently coming and going across the street, often between midnight and after 2 a.m. This activity disrupts sleep and raises questions about the reasons for such late-night traffic. The lack of peace and quiet during nighttime hours can significantly impact the quality of life for residents seeking a tranquil living environment.
A particularly concerning aspect of the feedback is the assertion that management does little to respond to resident concerns. This lack of responsiveness can exacerbate existing issues, leaving residents feeling unheard and helpless in addressing problems that affect their living environment. The long-term resident implies a sense of futility in reporting these issues, suggesting a systemic problem with park management's engagement and action on resident complaints.
Despite these significant negative experiences, there is a glimmer of potential improvement on the horizon. The ten-year resident mentions hearing about long-awaited plans to upgrade the clubhouse, which they describe as being outdated and in need of renovation since the 1950s. They also express hope that the upgrade will include air conditioning, a feature that was presumably lacking. This planned renovation suggests that there may be some investment in improving the community's amenities, although the timeline and scope of these upgrades remain unclear.
When considering Stonegate Mobile Home Park as an alternative to "RV parks near me," it is crucial to weigh the significant difference in the intended duration of stay and the expected amenities. RV parks typically cater to short-term travelers and may offer recreational facilities. Mobile home parks are designed for longer-term residency, and while affordability can be a key factor, the quality of the living environment and management responsiveness are equally important considerations for long-term well-being.
The provided reviews offer limited information about the comprehensive services offered at Stonegate Mobile Home Park. We know that space rent is collected, and residents are responsible for gas and garbage fees. However, details regarding park maintenance (beyond the contrasting views on its quality), water and sewage services, or other potential amenities are not provided. The mention of a clubhouse upgrade suggests that some communal facilities exist, but their current state has been a point of concern.
Finally, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in exploring residency at Stonegate Mobile Home Park would need to contact the park directly to inquire about lot availability, current space rental rates, and any potential incentives for new residents. It would also be prudent to inquire about the management's plans for addressing the concerns raised by current residents regarding maintenance and overall park conditions.
In conclusion, Stonegate Mobile Home Park in Santa Rosa offers the potential benefit of affordable space rent, which may be attractive to budget-conscious individuals and families. It also appears to have a significant population of long-term senior residents who are described as nice. However, the park also faces serious concerns raised by long-term residents regarding poor street conditions, unsightly surroundings, lack of property maintenance, issues with feral animals, nighttime disturbances, and a perceived lack of responsiveness from management. While a clubhouse upgrade is reportedly planned, the extent and impact of this improvement remain to be seen. For those searching for alternatives to "RV parks near me" and considering Stonegate for long-term living, a thorough investigation and direct communication with the park management and potentially current residents are strongly recommended to fully understand the current living conditions and management practices before making a decision.

Stonegate Mobile Home Park Reviews
I have lived here for 10 years. It’ a good place for me, space rent is less than $500.00. Plus gas & garbage. It does accept children, there are a lot of people over60 years of age. They are very nice. Re: children: there is no play area for them & there is no pool. I just heard they are finally going to upgrade the clubhouse ! Thank Goodness! It is like something out of the50’s that hasn’t been spruced up since then! Hopefully the add air conditioning!
May 22, 2018 · pamela herifordI have lived here for about 15 years. It was just O.K. for the first 3 years. The street I live on is exceptionally bad. My view when I open my shutters is of a junk yard. It literally sickens me. One of my neighbors next to me has had nothing but weeds growing all around his house. People feed feral cats and leave the food outside so that the foxes, raccoons, and possums come around at night foraging for food. I'm afraid for my small pets. There is constant activity going on all night long waking me up. Cars/people coming and going across the street from me. One can only wonder who has company coming and going at midnight through after 2 a.m. Management does little to respond to resident concerns. I could go on but what would be the point!
