Moon Landing RV Park & Marina Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" that offer a unique waterfront experience, Moon Landing RV Park & Marina, located at 4105 Watts Bridge Rd, Cross Hill, SC 29332, USA, presents an interesting option. Situated in Cross Hill, South Carolina, this facility combines the amenities of an RV park with the convenience of a marina, providing access to the scenic Saluda River. While customer reviews offer varied perspectives, this introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features based on the available information.
One customer review highlights a significant negative experience involving the storage of a camper where tires, rims, propane tanks, and a battery were reportedly stolen. The review details issues with the replacement process, suggesting potential challenges with communication and the quality of replacements provided. This account should be a point of consideration for potential long-term storage clients.
In contrast, another review paints a more positive picture for transient RV visitors. This customer described the location as a "beautiful RV site" within what appears to be primarily a boat marina with a limited number of transient RV spots. They expressed feeling fortunate to have secured a site for a night, noting that the permanent RVs in the park seemed well-maintained. This suggests that while the park may cater significantly to long-term residents and marina users, it does offer opportunities for short-term RV stays.
The environment of Moon Landing RV Park & Marina is clearly defined by its waterfront location on the Saluda River. The positive review specifically mentions a "big, grassy yard that is built-up overlooking the water," indicating that at least some RV sites offer picturesque water views. The presence of a couple of boat ramps confirms direct access to the Saluda River, making it an appealing location for boating and water-related activities. The existence of a "huge covered picnic pavilion overlooking the water" further enhances the appeal of the setting, providing a communal space for enjoying the scenic views and outdoor gatherings.
Based on the customer feedback, the services and features of Moon Landing RV Park & Marina include:
- Transient RV sites: While the number may be limited, the park does offer sites for short-term RV stays, with at least one site described as large and offering a grassy area with water views.
- Permanent RV sites: The presence of numerous "well maintained" permanent RVs suggests that the park also caters to long-term residents.
- Boat ramps: Two boat ramps provide convenient access to the Saluda River for boating and other water activities.
- Marina facilities: As the name suggests, the park operates as a marina, likely offering services related to boat docking and potentially other boating needs. Specific details about these services are not provided in the reviews.
- General store: A "cute little general store" is mentioned, which reportedly stocks a wide range of convenience items that guests might need. The reviewer wished they had taken a picture, implying a positive impression of its offerings.
- Dog-friendly: The park is described as dog-friendly, which is a significant amenity for RV travelers who bring their pets. Specific details about any pet-related rules or facilities are not mentioned.
- Friendly and hospitable office staff: The ladies in the office were described as "friendly and very hospital," suggesting a positive initial point of contact for guests.
- Covered picnic pavilion: A "huge covered picnic pavilion overlooking the water" provides a communal space for dining, socializing, and enjoying the waterfront views, regardless of the weather.

When considering Moon Landing RV Park & Marina as one of the "RV parks near me," potential visitors should weigh both the positive and negative feedback. The beautiful waterfront setting, access to the Saluda River via boat ramps, the presence of a general store, and the dog-friendly policy are definite advantages. The friendly office staff also contributes to a positive initial impression. However, the serious allegations of theft and unsatisfactory handling of the replacement of stolen items from a stored camper are significant concerns that should not be overlooked, particularly for those considering long-term storage or leaving their RV unattended for extended periods.
The park appears to cater to a mix of long-term residents and transient RVers, with a strong emphasis on its marina facilities and access to the Saluda River. The availability of a covered picnic pavilion overlooking the water adds to the recreational appeal of the location.
To make an informed decision about staying at Moon Landing RV Park & Marina, local users should consider the following:
- Contact the park directly at (864) 998-4292 or +1 864-998-4292 to inquire about the availability and rates for transient RV sites.
- If considering long-term storage, ask detailed questions about security measures and the park's policies regarding stored vehicles and personal belongings.
- Inquire about the services and fees associated with the marina facilities, including boat docking and any other related services.
- Clarify the pet policy, including any restrictions or designated areas for pets.
- Ask about the amenities available at the general store and its operating hours.
- Request information about Wi-Fi availability and any other amenities not mentioned in the reviews.
In conclusion, Moon Landing RV Park & Marina offers a waterfront location on the Saluda River in Cross Hill, SC, with amenities such as boat ramps, a general store, and a covered picnic pavilion. It appears to cater to both transient and permanent RV residents, as well as boating enthusiasts. Moon Landing RV Park & Marina Reviews
Camper was being stored here. Tires and rims, propane tanks, and battery were all stolen! When we FINALLY got ahold of Mike about it he promised everything would be replaced before we came up from Florida to get it. Well….he put tires and rims on it but one was completely bald and the other was busted. He literally put it on with the hole and wires facing the dirt to look as if it was a good tire. When we got there….we had to go buy two new tires. No propane tanks ….no battery. Just unbelievable.
Dec 02, 2024 · Terran Leigh ButlerWOW what a beautiful RV site ‼️ This is a boat marina with what seems a few transient sites so we feel so fortunate that we got this spot for a night. The rest of the RVs look permanent and very well maintained. The ladies in the office were friendly and very hospital. If you can land the site we were on you'll have a big, grassy yard that is built-up overlooking the water. There's a couple of boat ramps to access the Saluda River. There's a huge covered picnic pavilion overlooking the water. Their cute little general store has practically everything convenience you might need. Wish I took a picture in there to share. Dog friendly. Big RV friendly (at least the site we were on is). Wish we could have stayed for longer.
