Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV Introduce
Located at 14338 CA-49 in Grass Valley, California, Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV offers a dual capacity as both a mobile home park and an RV storage facility. For local users exploring housing or storage options, including those who might be searching under the category of "RV parks near me" for longer-term stays or a place to store their recreational vehicles, Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV presents a community setting with varying perspectives from those who have interacted with or used its services. The park can be reached at (530) 273-3004, with the same number serving as the mobile contact: +1 530-273-3004.
One individual who drove through the park while considering purchasing a mobile home there shared a positive interaction with a long-term resident named Bob, who reportedly had lived in the park since around 1996. This resident was described as "very friendly" and helpful in answering questions, providing a sense of a potentially welcoming community for prospective homeowners. The reviewer noted the value of speaking with someone with a long-term perspective on the park.
However, the initial impression upon entering the park was more mixed for this same individual. They observed "lots of older and uncared for mobiles," which they speculated might be a contributing factor to potentially lower space rent. Despite this, they also noted that while some of the older homes from the 1960s and 1970s were indeed aged, there were also well-kept residences of similar vintage. This suggests a degree of variability in the upkeep of individual properties within the park. The reviewer did not spend a significant amount of time in the park and thus refrained from giving a definitive five-star rating, expressing a hope to do so in the future with more information.
In stark contrast to the neutral observation of a potential buyer, another reviewer shared a deeply negative experience regarding the RV storage aspect of Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV. This individual reported a significant theft from their stored travel trailer, including items such as a propane tank, stabilizing hitch, bars, electric cord, dump hoses, an inline filter, tools, chairs, and an outdoor carpet. Disturbingly, the front storage bin of their trailer was reportedly accessed using a key, as there was no sign of forced entry. Furthermore, the reviewer stated that the "locked" gate to the property was found open on their last two visits.
When the theft was reported to the management, the response was that they were not liable and that other thefts had occurred on the property. The reviewer also relayed information they had been told that the management allegedly allows "undesirable" individuals to stay on the property and use tenant facilities. Based on this experience, the reviewer offered a strong recommendation "NOT to store your RV there," deeming it unsafe.
The contrasting nature of these reviews paints a complex picture of Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV. On one hand, there is an indication of a friendly, long-term community member and a potential for affordable living due to the presence of older homes. On the other hand, there are serious allegations of theft from RV storage units, concerns about security with an often-open gate, and a management that reportedly disclaims liability for these incidents and is accused of allowing "undesirable" individuals on the property.
Considering the perspective of local users searching for "RV parks near me," Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV appears to cater to both long-term mobile home residents and those seeking RV storage. The potential for lower space rent might attract individuals on a tight budget looking for a residential park. However, the significant security concerns raised by the RV storage customer, including the alleged theft using a key and the frequently open gate, are serious red flags for anyone considering storing their valuable recreational vehicles at this location.
The environment of the park seems to be characterized by a mix of older homes, some well-maintained and others less so. The presence of long-term residents suggests a degree of community stability, as indicated by the friendly individual who has lived there for over two decades. However, the allegations of "undesirable" individuals being allowed on the property could negatively impact the sense of safety and security for all residents and those storing vehicles there.
Services and features explicitly mentioned are limited. The park offers spaces for mobile homes and RV storage. The presence of a gate suggests an intention for security, although its reported frequent openness undermines this. The interaction with a long-term resident implies a community aspect, but the overall atmosphere seems to be viewed differently by different individuals. Amenities such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, or specific RV storage features (like individual locks or surveillance) are not detailed in the provided reviews.
There is no promotional information available in the provided text. The reviews focus on personal experiences and observations rather than any marketing or special offers from the park management.
For local users in Grass Valley considering Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV, it is crucial to weigh the potential for affordability and community against the serious security concerns raised regarding RV storage. If you are considering purchasing a mobile home there, it would be wise to spend more time in the park, observe the overall environment, and speak with multiple current residents to get a broader sense of the community and the management's responsiveness to resident concerns. For those looking for RV storage, the reported theft and security issues should be a significant deterrent unless the management has taken demonstrable steps to address these problems.
Prospective residents or storage clients should contact Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV directly to inquire about current rates, security measures, management policies regarding theft and guest access, and any recent changes or improvements made to the property. Visiting the park in person to assess the condition of the grounds and the overall atmosphere is also highly recommended. Given the conflicting feedback, a thorough personal investigation is necessary to determine if Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV meets your individual needs and expectations for safety and community living or storage.

Mountain Air Mobile Park & RV Reviews
I only drove through to look at a potential mobile to buy, but while driving g around met a long time in this park, Bob, who answered some questions for me. A very friendly individual whose lived in the park since about 1996 I believe. It's always nice to meet people who have the big picture.Entering the park I saw lots of older and uncared for mobiles, and probably one reason the space rent is so low. But driving around and once I saw some 60's and 70's I saw still older homes but well kept. I didn't spend much time there so I don't know enough to give a 5 star as I hope to do one day.
Jan 20, 2019 · Christine DymekWe stored our travel trailer there and the propane tank, stabilizing hitch, bars, electric cord, all dump hoses, inline filter, tools, chairs, outdoor carpet, all were stolen and a key was used to access the front storage bin. It wasn't broken into, it was opened with a key. The "locked" gate was open the last two times we went there. When we reported it, the management said they weren't liable and said they had had other thefts. We have been told that they allow "undesirable" to stay on their property and allow them to use the tenant facilities. My heartfelt recommendation is NOT to store your RV there. It's not safe.
Jun 07, 2021 · Judy RathNote from the park manager: We are NOT an escort service...I tried to remove this notation from our listing to no avail. We ARE a quaint, vintage 55+ residential mobile home park and RV storage yard. We have a few RV hookups in the park that are rented month-to-month; no overnights or weekly rentals. Please call for more details!
Feb 13, 2015 · Melanie AndersonA friend lives there and says management is pretty decent at tending to problems, but on site laundry room could stand to be updated and no real sense of community, but very respectful people who appreciate privacy.
Aug 06, 2019 · Rachel N DuranMy mother Mary LaFerriere and (not my father) Germaine LaFerriere managed this place for many years. My mother passed away August 21, 2001. I don't know if Germaine is still alive. If anyone knows, I would like to tell him his brother Raymond in Florida passed away, and his aunt in Canada.
