Mountain Lakes Resort Introduce
Mountain Lakes Resort, located at 1345 Murphy Hill Rd, Langston, AL 35755, USA, is a distinguished RV resort accessible via phone at (256) 582-5556 or mobile phone +1 256-582-5556. Operating within the "rv parks near me" category, this establishment is not just a typical campground but a comprehensive, membership-based resort designed to offer a wide array of amenities and a strong sense of community for RV owners. It's important to note that while it welcomes visitors for tours, its primary model revolves around a membership program, which has garnered specific feedback from guests, particularly concerning sales presentations. Despite these comments, the resort consistently highlights its extensive facilities and beautiful setting on Lake Guntersville, aiming to provide a rich recreational experience.
The **environment** of Mountain Lakes Resort is one of its most compelling attributes. Situated on the eastern shore of the expansive Lake Guntersville, a massive 68,000-acre reservoir, the resort boasts over half a mile of lake shoreline. This prime location offers "beautiful western views across the lake," allowing guests to enjoy stunning sunsets over the water. The surrounding landscape is characterized by the beautiful rolling hills of northeastern Alabama, providing a picturesque and tranquil backdrop for RV living. The resort is enveloped by nature, with mature trees providing shade and a lush, green aesthetic. The air is typically clean and fresh, contributing to a peaceful atmosphere, far removed from urban hustle. Given its lakeside location, the environment is ideal for water-based activities such as fishing, boating, and kayaking. Reviewers often praise the "beautiful lake" and the "peaceful and quiet" nature of the park. While driving to the resort might involve "hilly and winding" roads, the "breathtaking views" are frequently cited as being well worth the journey. The resort's design integrates well with the natural setting, offering a blend of modern convenience and natural beauty, making it a serene escape for RVers seeking a connection with the outdoors.
Mountain Lakes Resort offers a comprehensive suite of **services** designed to cater to its members and guests. The resort features over **350 full hook-up RV sites**, providing water, electricity (30 and 50 amp service), and sewer connections, accommodating a wide range of RV sizes, including large pull-through sites. For those without an RV, the resort also offers various rental accommodations, including cabins, cottages, condos, lake houses, bunk houses for large groups, and full-kitchen motel units, all fully appointed. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, ensuring guests can stay connected. On-site conveniences include a **2,000-square-foot country store** for essential supplies and groceries, as well as a **Country Café** that serves reasonably priced food, often open on weekends. Propane sales are also available. For sanitation, clean laundry facilities and immaculate bathhouses with hot showers are provided, which are consistently praised by visitors for their cleanliness. RV storage options and dump sites are also part of the services. The resort’s membership model, often associated with Ocean Canyon Resorts and Coast to Coast, means that services are geared towards a long-term recreational community. This includes planned activities, crafts, bingo, and live entertainment, indicating a vibrant social program. The staff are frequently described as "friendly and helpful," contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for both members and those on introductory tours. Maintenance and upkeep of the extensive facilities are ongoing services, ensuring a high standard of presentation and functionality throughout the resort.
The **features** of Mountain Lakes Resort are extensive and geared towards providing a full-service recreational experience. Central to its offerings is a wide array of amenities for all ages. The resort boasts both an **outdoor swimming pool (seasonal)** and a **heated indoor pool**, allowing for swimming enjoyment regardless of the weather. Recreational facilities include a large clubhouse, a kid's playground (though some reviews suggest it is "pretty dated and needs replacing"), a large game room, miniature golf, tennis courts, basketball courts, horseshoes, volleyball, and shuffleboard. For those seeking active pursuits, there's a fitness center and nearby hiking trails. Given its lakefront location, the resort offers **fishing piers, boat docks, and boat launches**, providing direct access to Lake Guntersville for boating and fishing. A dedicated **Bark Park** caters to pet owners, making it a pet-friendly destination. A TV lounge and a library offer quieter leisure options. A unique feature is the presence of a chapel for Sunday worship services and Wednesday Bible study, reflecting a focus on community and spiritual well-being for some residents. Planned activities and live entertainment further enhance the resort experience, fostering a lively and engaging environment. The availability of various rental accommodations, beyond just RV sites, makes the resort accessible to a broader audience, including those who prefer cabins or condos. The "extra large sites" with picnic tables and concrete pads are a practical feature that enhances comfort for RVers. Overall, the features are designed to keep guests engaged and entertained, making it a true destination resort rather than just a place to park an RV.
In terms of **promotional information**, Mountain Lakes Resort primarily targets potential members looking for a long-term recreational home for their RV. The resort heavily advertises its "free 3-day and 2-night stay" in exchange for attending a 90-minute membership presentation and tour, as noted by several reviewers. This is a common promotional strategy for membership-based resorts to showcase their extensive amenities and lifestyle. Promotional materials highlight the resort's location on "one of the most pristine lakes in Alabama" and its "beautiful western view across the lake," leveraging the natural beauty as a key selling point. The comprehensive list of amenities, including the pools, clubhouse, fitness center, and various sports courts, is prominently featured to showcase the value of a membership. The resort's affiliation with Ocean Canyon Resorts and Coast to Coast is also a major promotional aspect, indicating a network of resorts for members to utilize. While the customer reviews reveal a high-pressure sales tactic ("push push push," "Typical salesman garbage"), which is a common complaint for such models, the resort's official promotion would focus on the "good plan on paper" and the "amazing sunset," "beautiful camper resort," and "fantastic visit" experiences that some customers still acknowledge. The friendly staff and range of family-friendly activities are also emphasized. The resort likely uses its phone numbers (256) 582-5556 and +1 256-582-5556, its website, and potentially social media to disseminate information about its amenities, special offers, and the overall resort lifestyle, aiming to attract individuals and families seeking a permanent recreational base for their RV adventures in North Alabama.

Mountain Lakes Resort Reviews
Beautiful camper resort. Bonny gave us the tour and we had zero complaints. Very upfront about the expectations of the tour and gave us zero pressure about making the decision about the membership. The only complaint I have is the kids playground is pretty dated and needs replacing due to age. Otherwise, it was a fantastic visit.
Apr 06, 2025 · Lauren MooreThe lake is beautiful. The amenities are nice and the staff are great people! This is a members only resort and had to attend a 90 min presentation/ tour of the camp site. The presentation started off good. Sales guy was very informative. He said at the beginning “i get it if you have to take a day or a few to think about it, pray about it when it comes to something like this and if you dont want this we will shake hands and part ways as friends”. After the tour, we sat down at the table I told him “not today” and we would have to think about it. Then he said “well i’ll get up to give you guys some space to think on it”. what happened to if we “need to think about it for a few days or pray about it”? All of a sudden it was push push push. I gave him a firm “not today”. He got up and said “let me go make sure there is nothing i left out”. His manager comes out. Manager guy did some math at the table, cut the price in half (cutting out half the perks of course) and asked if it was something i could do today. I said “ I need to focus on getting a bigger truck for my camper so not today” and the manager says “so what you just not going to do any camping” in a agitated tone. I responded with “Not today”. He knew his question pissed me off. The way I manage my money and family time is none of his business.I really wanted to consider getting it because it really did sound like a good plan on paper but im not going to sign up for a membership costing as much as a car without taking some time to talk it out with my wife and look at our finances. After seeing their tone and demeanor change after i said no, i had my definite answer that this was not for us before we exited the building. Typical salesman garbage.

Apr 08, 2025 · Shane BrayThe resort is ok it’s an older resort but nice. The one thing that I was disappointed in being a full time traveler was that and I quote “ we don’t receive packages” you need to be here at the store where either UPS or whatever delivery service arrives. REALLY just another thing that makes me un happy about joining OC. And I have a few in ONLY being a member for less than 60 days. I’ve stayed at a few OC resorts and there is something at every one that’s disappointing. It’s either we don’t receive packages or the showers or washer/dryers don’t work. The sales team could sell you swampland if you’re not careful. That’s how I am starting to feel about joining.
Jan 14, 2025 · john grahamThis is a beautiful park with amazing staff. The amenities and events are very fun. You can feel the sense of community here. We loved that they had tetherball!! The views are some of the best we've seen at an RV park and there's tons of hiking nearby.
