Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Community Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Highland, California area that offer a potentially welcoming community? Or are you considering the stability of a mobile home in a park that some residents describe as "wonderful"? Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Community, located at 4033 Piedmont Dr in Highland, CA, presents a mixed perspective based on recent customer reviews. While one resident expresses great satisfaction with the park, another details significant concerns regarding property damage and security.
One resident shares a very positive experience, stating, "I have been lucky enough to live in this wonderful mobile home park for 5+ years. I love everything about this park!! Thanks Mountain Shadows for providing us with such a wonderful place to live!" This glowing review suggests that for some, Mountain Shadows offers a comfortable and enjoyable living environment. This long-term resident's enthusiasm could indicate a well-maintained community with a positive atmosphere and a sense of belonging.
From the perspective of someone looking at "RV parks near me," this positive feedback might suggest that Mountain Shadows could be a pleasant option for an extended stay, potentially offering a welcoming community and a well-kept environment. While the review doesn't specifically mention RV amenities, the overall positive sentiment about the park could be encouraging. However, as with any long-term RV park consideration, direct inquiry about RV-specific facilities and policies would be essential.
However, a contrasting review raises serious concerns. This resident reports experiencing damage to their home caused by falling tree branches. They express frustration that the park management expects them to cover the costs or file an insurance claim, which they anticipate will be denied since they rent the space and do not own the property the tree is on. This situation highlights a potential point of contention regarding responsibility for damage caused by park-owned natural elements.
Further complicating this issue, the resident states they are "not allowed to have the tree removed or trimmed per the contract as I don’t own and only rent the space." This restriction, coupled with the proximity of the tree to their patio ("less than an arms reach"), suggests a potentially hazardous situation that the resident feels powerless to address. The fact that "the dead branches fell on my house on a non windy day" underscores the potential for unpredictable and damaging events.
Adding to these concerns, the same reviewer reports "theft of property in the park even though space rent has been increased due to the new contract with the security company." This is a significant issue, as residents expect a sense of security in their living environment, especially when they are paying more for enhanced security measures. The fact that theft has occurred despite this increase raises questions about the effectiveness of the new security contract and the overall safety within the community.
The resident who experienced the tree damage and theft also mentions "looking into a real estate attorney," indicating the seriousness of their grievances and their potential intent to pursue legal action. This suggests that the issues they are facing are not minor and have significantly impacted their living experience at Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Community.
Considering these two contrasting reviews, Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Community appears to be a place where some residents have found a "wonderful" living experience, while others have encountered significant problems related to property maintenance responsibility and security. For those searching for "RV parks near me" with the possibility of a longer-term stay, these conflicting reports highlight the importance of thorough investigation before making a commitment.
Potential residents, whether for RV stays or mobile home living, should inquire specifically about the park's policies regarding tree maintenance and liability for damage caused by park-owned trees. Understanding the terms of the rental agreement regarding these issues is crucial to avoid potential future disputes. Additionally, it is essential to inquire about the security measures in place, the effectiveness of these measures, and any recent incidents of theft within the community.
While one resident's positive experience over five years suggests a potentially well-managed and enjoyable community, the other resident's detailed account of property damage and security concerns cannot be ignored. These issues could indicate systemic problems within the park's management or infrastructure that prospective residents should be aware of.

- If possible, speak with multiple current residents to get a broader range of perspectives on living in the community. Inquire about their experiences with park management, maintenance, and security.
- Visit the park in person to assess the overall environment, the condition of the grounds, and the proximity of trees to mobile home spaces.
It is important to note that the provided information does not include details about specific amenities offered at Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Community, such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, or community spaces. Those interested in these aspects should also inquire directly with the management.
In conclusion, Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Community in Highland, CA, presents a complex picture. While one long-term resident expresses great satisfaction, another reports significant issues related to property damage from park-owned trees and concerns about security despite increased space rent. For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living in this community, it is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence and gather comprehensive information about the park's policies and the experiences of current residents to make an informed decision.

Upset that my home was damaged by tree branches falling causing damage to my home and the park is now expecting me to pay for or put a claim into my insurance that will be denied as I don’t own the property. I’m not allowed to have the tree removed or trimmed per the contract as I don’t own and only rent the space The dead branches fell on my house on a non windy day. The tree is within less than an arms reach from my patio. There has also been theft of property in the park even though space rent has been increased due to the new contract with the security company. Looking into a real estate attorney .
Oct 26, 2023 · kelly hannaI have been lucky enough to live in this wonderful mobile home park for 5+ years. I love everything about this park!! Thanks Mountain Shadows for providing us with such a wonderful place to live!
Dec 30, 2022 · Brenda ChandlerWe were invited to an estate sale in this mobile home park by an ad on-line. We came and parked outside since there was a line of cars to get in. We walked on the sidewalk past the guard shack and when we were about a block away the person in the shack yelled at us that if we didn't sign in he would call the police. I've attended many estate sales in gated communities in the past and have never been forced to sign in. We just left and we will never come back. If you have such stringent rules on a day when you have invited the public in to your facility, you should let the public know about your policy.
Jan 26, 2024 · Doug BurnoutExcellent place to live! Mountain Shadows park is very well maintained, and the surroundings are very peaceful and quiet, like a slice of heaven. I purchased my home here in May 2015, and loved every minute of living here.
Nov 27, 2017 · Kim FishOne of the best mobile home parks in the area. Very beautiful views and very clean/well maintained. 3 Stars because of the darn SPEED BUMPS.Too high. Whoever had them put in did not know anything about engineering a BUMP IN THE ROAD. Too radical. Makes no sense. No speed demons here, just older gentlemen and gentlewomen.
