When evaluating a mobile home park for long-term residency, it's essential to gather information about the environment, services, and overall living conditions. Online reviews from current and former residents can offer valuable, albeit sometimes contrasting, perspectives. The following introduction to Mountain View Mobile Home Park is based on the feedback available online, which presents a mixed picture of the community's current state compared to its past.
One former owner of a mobile home in Mountain View Mobile Home Park recalls a time when the community was "very nice." They mention that "the grounds were kept up" and that "the pool area was the gem of the park." This positive recollection suggests that the park once offered an appealing environment with well-maintained common areas and a standout amenity in its pool. However, this reviewer notes a significant decline since selling their mobile home, stating that "this place has gotten worse from there."
Several factors contribute to this perceived decline, according to the former owner. One significant change is the policy of "No fifth wheels allowed," which they believe has "ruined the clientele." This policy decision may have altered the demographic of the park and potentially impacted its overall atmosphere. The reviewer also states that "The place is just run down these days," indicating a potential lack of upkeep and maintenance compared to the past. Despite having family still residing in the park, they report that their family members are also "ready to get out too," further underscoring the dissatisfaction with the current conditions. The reviewer concludes with a sense of nostalgia, expressing sadness over the decline from their "so many good memories here..."
In contrast, a current resident describes Mountain View Mobile Home Park as a "little quaint place" with a "Clean environment and friendly ppl." This positive feedback highlights the potential for a pleasant living experience, emphasizing the cleanliness of the surroundings and the friendliness of the community. The park is also described as "Dog friendly and off the beaten path," which could be appealing to pet owners seeking a quieter location.
However, this current resident also points out several significant issues. They note that "the pool looks tore up" and that "they're no longer allowing ppl to do laundry at the Landry facilities. Not sure why?" These observations suggest a decline in the availability and condition of key amenities that were once considered highlights of the park, as mentioned by the former owner. The closure of the laundry facilities can be a significant inconvenience for residents, and the poor condition of the pool detracts from the recreational options.
Furthermore, the current resident raises concerns about management presence, stating, "No manager on site and rarely get a visit or a call back when u call the number posted at office." Infrequent or absent management can lead to delays in addressing resident concerns, maintenance issues, and the overall upkeep of the park. This lack of visible and responsive management can negatively impact the residents' quality of life and the park's operational efficiency.
Despite these issues, the current resident sees potential in the park, suggesting it "CLD be a diamond in the ruff if someone took the time to invest a little bit of money and elbow grease." This indicates that the underlying infrastructure and community spirit might still be present, but the park requires investment and effort to restore it to its former glory. The resident also notes that it's a "Nice n safe place for kids too!" which could be a significant positive for families considering long-term residency.
Considering these contrasting yet overlapping reviews, Mountain View Mobile Home Park in Desert Hot Springs appears to be a community with a positive past but facing significant challenges in its present state. While the environment is described as clean and the residents as friendly, key amenities like the pool and laundry facilities are reportedly in poor condition or unavailable. The lack of consistent on-site management is also a concern. The park's dog-friendly policy and perceived safety for children are positive aspects.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Desert Hot Springs who might be considering a longer-term stay in a mobile home park, Mountain View Mobile Home Park presents a complex picture. The potential for a quaint, clean, and friendly community exists, but the reported decline in amenities and management presence are significant drawbacks that warrant careful consideration.
As a platform connecting users with "RV parks near me" and related services, we aim to provide an objective overview based on available feedback. In the case of Mountain View Mobile Home Park, the reviews suggest a park with potential that is currently underperforming in terms of maintenance and management. The "no fifth wheels allowed" policy is also a specific restriction to note for potential residents with that type of RV.
Prospective residents interested in Mountain View Mobile Home Park are strongly encouraged to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about the current status of the pool and laundry facilities, the management's on-site presence and responsiveness, and the specific rules regarding RV types and sizes. Visiting the property in person would be essential to assess the current condition of the grounds and amenities and to speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day living experience.
Given the concerns raised about the lack of investment and management, it would be prudent to inquire about any planned improvements or changes in management that might address the issues highlighted in the reviews. Understanding the park's plans for the future could help potential residents make a more informed decision.
In conclusion, Mountain View Mobile Home Park in Desert Hot Springs appears to be a community with a history of being a nice place to live, but recent feedback indicates a decline in maintenance and the availability of key amenities, as well as concerns about management presence. While described as clean, friendly, and safe for children, the reported issues with the pool and laundry, along with the "no fifth wheels allowed" policy, are significant factors that prospective residents should carefully evaluate. Direct contact with the park and a personal visit are highly recommended to ascertain the current living conditions and management practices.

Mountain View Mobile Home Park Reviews
I used to own a mobile home here. When I did it was very nice. The grounds were kept up, the pool area was the gem of the park. I've long sold my mobile and this place has gotten worse from there. No fifth wheels allowed, ruined the clientele. The place is just run down these days. I have family in the park still but they're ready to get out too. Sad, I have so many good memories here...

Altho the pool looks tore up and they're no longer allowing ppl to do laundry at the Landry facilities. Not sure why? No manager on site and rarely get a visit or a call back when u call the number posted at office. CLD be a diamond in the ruff if someone took the time to invest a little bit of money and elbow grease. Nice n safe place for kids too!
Nov 06, 2021 · RussiaOne star is being too generous. And Russia you obviously work there because this review does not reflect the trailer park at all. Do not move here the new management is worse than the old management. What a joke
Nov 30, 2021 · Emily CrowleyFor the most part the place is well maintained and pool area and Spa are clean and very quiet ..... The managers also are good at keeping things in control as far as not letting the rif rat enter and keeping the place clean ....would stay again but I'm still here ....guess because it's nice and quiet ow and lots are big enough so you can breath. Trash is s plus as you exit there are 4, bens and easy access
May 02, 2018 · Phillip VigilI Owned a Corner Trailer across the "street" from the Open Field beside the Park (pic) back in 2003. I was reminiscing n thot Id look it Up. In the Center of the Field the Vista n Vastness were an Amazement...inline with the famous Tram. I remember it being 125 degrees n I STILL Hiked. U2's Joshua Tree was recorded near by. I saw Concrete Blonde, Locals, Live. Pretty Surreal in retrospect----- Worth the 4th STAR+++p
