Ocean Pines Introduce
For local users in search of "RV Parks Near Me" in the Garden City, South Carolina area, Ocean Pines, located at 3196 Moonshadow Ln, Garden City, SC 29576, USA, presents itself as a mobile home park that may offer possibilities for RV living. They can be contacted at (843) 651-2520 or +1 843-651-2520 for further inquiries.
The environment of Ocean Pines, according to a long-term resident's review, was once highly appealing due to enforced covenants that maintained the community's aesthetic and quality. However, with new ownership and management taking over a couple of years prior to the review (August 2024), there have been noticeable changes. The reviewer mentions a decline in the enforcement of these covenants, leading to some homeowners neglecting their yards and storing junk outside. Concerns are also raised about the condition of ponds and streets, as well as worsening drainage issues after rainfall, potentially exacerbated by the removal of numerous trees since the new ownership. The reviewer also notes instances of trash cans being left out for extended periods and cars parked on lawns, contributing to a less quiet community than it once was.
Despite these concerns, the reviewer highlights a significant advantage of Ocean Pines: its ideal location. The community is situated conveniently close to the beach and the Garden City pier, as well as various shopping options, medical facilities, restaurants, and the Marshwalk, all reportedly within a ten-minute drive. This prime location offers residents easy access to a wide array of recreational activities, essential services, and entertainment options that are characteristic of the Garden City area, a popular destination along the South Carolina coast.
Specific services and features of Ocean Pines relevant to RV living are not detailed in the provided reviews. As a mobile home park, the infrastructure is primarily designed for manufactured homes. However, some mobile home parks do accommodate RVs, either on a temporary or long-term basis. The types of amenities that might be available for RVs, such as hookups for electricity (including amperage), water, and sewer, as well as the presence of a dump station, Wi-Fi access, or designated RV parking areas, are not mentioned in the reviews. One potential resident's questions inquire about various aspects relevant to both mobile home and potentially RV living, including the allowance of flags, HOA fees, lot rent, other fees (like wifi, trash, sewer, water), golf cart usage, the possibility of double-wide homes, outside sheds, and specifically, any RV parking onsite. These questions indicate that RV parking might be a consideration for some seeking residency in Ocean Pines.
The reviews do not explicitly mention any promotional information for Ocean Pines. Mobile home parks may have different rates and terms for lot rentals, and if RVs are permitted, the pricing and conditions for RV stays would likely vary. Potential local users interested in residency, whether in a mobile home or with an RV, should directly contact the management at the provided phone numbers to inquire about current lot rents, any applicable HOA fees, other service charges (for utilities like water, sewer, trash, and potentially optional services like Wi-Fi), and any special offers or promotions that might be available. Information regarding the specific rules and regulations concerning flags, golf carts, double-wide homes, and outside sheds would also need to be obtained directly from the management or community guidelines.
In conclusion, Ocean Pines in Garden City, SC, is described by a long-term resident as a community that, while still considered a great place to live due to its lively social calendar and ideal location near beaches, shopping, and other amenities, has experienced changes under new ownership. These changes include a perceived decline in the enforcement of community covenants and concerns about the upkeep of common areas. For local users exploring "RV Parks Near Me," Ocean Pines presents a location with a desirable setting but with potential considerations regarding community standards and the availability of specific RV amenities. Direct communication with the management is crucial to ascertain if RVs are accommodated, to understand the associated costs and services, and to gather information on community rules and any current promotions.

Ocean Pines Reviews
Ocean pines is a great place to live, not as good as it used to be but still great. As of a couple of years ago we are under new ownership / management. Many of the covenants that initially appealed to us when we moved here are no longer being enforced. Many homeowners are now allowed to let their yards go and you see junk stored outside. Our ponds and streets need work. Drainage after rains is getting worse, worse still from the hundreds of trees removed since new ownership. I see trash cans left out on the streets for weeks, cars parked on lawns. It isn't a quiet community.Still, if you can live as we do, there is a lively social calendar and our location is ideal. The beach and Garden City pier, shopping, medical, restaurants and the Marshwalk only ten minutes away.
Mar 22, 2023 · Mark GrondahlCan you fly a flag? What are HOA fees? Lot rent? Other fees(I.e., wifi, trash, sewer, water, )? Golf carts allowed? Any double wides? Can you have an outside shed? Any RV parking onsite?
Jan 14, 2025 · Paul HarteMy husband and I moved into Ocean Pines a Sun community property in Murrells Inlet this past January. We absolutely love it here. Property is very well maintained. The many residents we have met all are very nice and welcoming. There are so many planned activities that you can stay busy every day of the week if that’s what you would like to do. I’m so glad this is where we chose to retire. The entire staff from maintenance to the office have all been great.
Aug 28, 2024 · Tracy ScordosOcean Pines is a great place to live. The roads could use a little improvement. But my main issue is the management is political and stuffs it down your throat. Stoping by the office is useless. It’s common knowledge to a lot of the residents here if management likes you then you can do whatever you want.Have to say my neighbors are right the political flags are still flying but you have no problem inspecting our homes and telling the people you don’t like what they must do.
