Big Creek RV Park/ Arcadia Meadow Campground LLC Reviews
Very clean campground, the owner and his wife try to help and be as reasonable as they can be. Only thing I will question is why they were worried about how I approached the campground from the highway and entered (I was going 20-30 mph on entry and still braking)? Then, they proceeded to interrupt their dinner to chase me down to my campsite and harassed me about the 5 mph rule (at MOST, I was doing 8) but there were also times I was only doing 2 or 3 mph. They also claimed they heard me go in to 3rd gear, which in a 6.7 Powerstroke is typically between 20 and 30 mph. I fully understand that rules are rules, but if we aren’t absolutely for sure on a speed and can’t tell if the speed is actually being broken, we don’t need to be chasing people down to harass them.

Oct 28, 2024 · Tom TaylorWe stayed here a weekend late last month. The family that owns this campground take a lot of pride in it, and they're about the friendliest folks we've ever met.The camp itself was one of the most well-kept campgrounds that we've ever stayed at. The bath house was incredibly clean. The lots were level and clean. They have a small shop and carry most essentials, and they run a little coffee shop in the mornings. They have activities that guests can take part in, like a hay ride or duck races, all included. Also, they have some goats and sheep and chickens that are fun to feed, the goats and sheep seem to enjoy head scratches too.Oh, and one more thing, they sell firewood on-site, like most campgrounds. They charge 10 dollars for it, but that's not for a little bundle, that's for all the wood that you can burn in a night. It's a great place and I'm certain we'll be back.

Apr 26, 2025 · Darla DykstraI coordinate rallies of 20-100 RVs/40-225 people. I have dealt with many RV park owners and staff members. The owners of Big Creek - Laura and Dave -- have been some of the most amazing to work with! Excellent customer service, very willing to go above and beyond to make your gathering pleasant. The campground is well-maintained and in a beautiful, peaceful location. The creek behind it and the hillsides surrounding it are lovely. Great for families with farm animals to pet and lots of room to play outdoors. Don't fret about it being near train tracks - only one train we heard go by and it wasn't something that would wake you up if you were sleeping. The only issue is that the drive in with an RV will keep you alert. Some rolling hills, tight curves, and no shoulders. Take it slow and don't do it in slippery weather and you will be fine. It is a lovely drive. Lots of fun stuff to do within an hour or so - Caledonia, Johnson Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Missouri Mines Park, etc. Don't miss this park. Can't wait to go back!
