Ohio Valley RV Park Introduce
If you are searching within the 'rv parks near me' category for an RV park in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Ohio Valley RV Park, located at 100 Center St, Martins Ferry, OH 43935, appears to present a challenging environment for those seeking a peaceful and restful stay, based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent customers. The reviews highlight significant issues with noise due to the park's proximity to active train tracks and industrial operations, coupled with a perceived high cost relative to the amenities and overall experience. For those considering Ohio Valley RV Park for long-term or even short-term stays, it is crucial to be aware of these concerns. To obtain any further information or clarification, you can contact the park directly at (304) 312-0923 or +1 304-312-0923.
The environment surrounding Ohio Valley RV Park is consistently described as noisy and disruptive by multiple reviewers. The park is situated in an "industrial part of town" and is bordered by "very active train tracks on 2 sides," located so close that a rock could easily reach them. The noise from these trains, including the blowing of horns "all night" and sounding as if they are inside the camper, is a major complaint, occurring seven days a week without respite. Adding to the noise pollution is a trucking company that backs up to the RV park. According to a reviewer, from Monday to Friday, this company operates "all night working on the trucks playing music and yelling," further exacerbating the noise issues. This combination of constant train traffic and overnight industrial activity creates an environment that is far from tranquil and is explicitly stated to severely impede sleep. One reviewer even suggests that the location might be tolerable for those who "hate to sleep and like staying up throughout the night" after long work shifts, sarcastically highlighting the severity of the noise problem. The reviews paint a picture of an RV park situated in a highly industrial and transportation-heavy area, making for a potentially unpleasant and disruptive living environment for those seeking peace and quiet.
The services offered at Ohio Valley RV Park are described as basic. One reviewer mentions that it "Has all ur basics...sewer..power...electric..and internet, when it works," indicating that essential utility hookups are provided. However, the intermittent nature of the internet service ("when it works") suggests potential reliability issues with this amenity. There is no mention of other common RV park amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms with showers, recreational areas, or a communal space. The focus of the reviews is overwhelmingly on the negative environmental factors rather than the positive aspects of the services. The lack of mention of additional amenities, coupled with the strong complaints about noise and pricing, implies that the services are likely limited to the fundamental hookups. The fact that reviewers feel the park is overpriced for what it offers further suggests that the services and amenities do not justify the cost. Prospective users should not expect a wide range of services or facilities beyond the basic utility connections and potentially unreliable internet.
The features of Ohio Valley RV Park, based on the provided reviews, are predominantly negative. Its location in an industrial area and its close proximity to very active train tracks on two sides are significant negative features that severely impact the quality of stay due to incessant noise. The adjacent trucking company's overnight operations further compound this issue. The park is described as a "level gravel area," which suggests a basic and perhaps less aesthetically appealing setting compared to parks with more landscaping or natural features. The pricing, described as "$650 a month" and "a little more than the rest of the parks besides one other in the area," is perceived as excessively high for the lack of a peaceful environment and the basic services offered. One reviewer explicitly labels it a "get rich fast scheme to rip off the oil field workers," indicating a perception of unfair pricing relative to the value received. The lack of sleep due to the constant noise is a recurring theme, making the park unsuitable for those who require rest after long work hours or during their days off. The absence of positive features or amenities in the reviews further underscores the negative aspects of choosing to stay at Ohio Valley RV Park. The primary feature highlighted is its unfortunate location, which leads to significant noise pollution.
Currently, there is no mention of any promotional information for Ohio Valley RV Park in the provided reviews. Given the strongly negative feedback regarding the environment and pricing, it is unlikely that the park is actively promoting special offers. For local users exploring 'rv parks near me' in the Martins Ferry area, it would be prudent to directly contact Ohio Valley RV Park at (304) 312-0923 or +1 304-312-0923 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential discounts or long-term stay options. However, given the consistent complaints about high pricing relative to the poor living conditions, prospective users should carefully weigh the cost against the significant noise issues reported by previous guests. It might be beneficial to inquire if any measures have been taken to mitigate the noise or if there are any plans to improve the environment. However, based on the strong negative experiences shared, it would be wise to explore alternative RV parks in the vicinity before committing to a stay at Ohio Valley RV Park.
In conclusion, Ohio Valley RV Park in Martins Ferry, Ohio (43935), appears to be an RV park that local users searching within the 'rv parks near me' category should approach with significant caution. The overwhelming feedback from reviewers highlights a severely noisy environment due to its location adjacent to active train tracks on two sides and a trucking company operating overnight. This constant noise is reported to severely disrupt sleep and make for a miserable stay. While basic services such as sewer, power, electric, and potentially unreliable internet are mentioned, the pricing of $650 per month is considered excessively high for the poor living conditions and lack of peace. There is no indication of any positive environmental features or additional amenities to justify the cost or the disruptive noise. Prospective users are strongly advised to carefully consider these significant drawbacks and explore alternative RV parks in the Martins Ferry area that may offer a more peaceful and better value experience. Direct contact with Ohio Valley RV Park is recommended for the most current information, but the strong negative reviews warrant thorough investigation and consideration of other options.

Ohio Valley RV Park Reviews
I agree with the post below. I travel the country working and have never paid so much for a camp lot that offered so little. The park is surrounded with very active train tracks on 2 sides of the park so close you can throw a rock and hit either track and if that is not enough there is a trucking company that backs up to the lot ans Monday - Friday the are up all night working on the trucks playing music and yelling so after a 12-14 hour work day then you get home and have to listen to trains and industrial workers all night. You won't sleep!!! This is another get rich fast scheme to rip off the oil field workers so I suggest find another place bc at $650 a month here with no sleep makes for a long miserable stay!!!
Apr 05, 2017 · William LawlerThis is deffineatly a working man's RV park. Has all ur basics...sewer..power...electric..and internet, when it works. The park is on a level gravel area in the industrial part of town. If you hate to sleep and like staying up throughout the night after you worked a long 14, 15 hour shift, then this might be the park for you.Yes, it comes with a train that's not more than a 100 foot from the park.It blows its horns all night and sounds like its in your camper with you seven days a week non-stop.If you take a day off and want to just relax, think again. The noise from surrounding businesses will not let you relax. Not much sleep going on there. As for the pricing, this park charges a little more than the rest of the parks besides one other in the area. 650.00 a month for no sleep. I highly recommend you find another place togo.Thats just my opinion.
