Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park Introduce
Are you currently searching for housing solutions in the Lansing, Kansas area, perhaps looking beyond the typical "RV parks near me"? Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park, located at 300 N 2nd St, Lansing, KS 66043, USA, presents itself as a manufactured home community offering a longer-term residential option. Unlike RV parks, which generally cater to short-term stays for recreational vehicles, manufactured home communities are designed for individuals and families seeking a more permanent or semi-permanent residence in a manufactured or mobile home.
However, it is crucial to approach an introduction of Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park with significant caution due to overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent residents. Multiple reviews paint a concerning picture of the community's environment, management, and services. These reviews should be carefully considered by anyone contemplating residing at this location.
One reviewer expresses a strong desire to move out, stating that the park "used to be nice and quiet" under previous ownership but has since deteriorated. This resident mentions "large pot holes" in the roads, "trash all over the place," and issues with unsupervised "pets and kids running wild all day and night." This paints a picture of a poorly maintained environment with potential safety and noise concerns.
Another, even more detailed and alarming review, claims that if zero stars were an option, that would be the rating given. This reviewer, who purchased a home in the park in July 2021 and moved in in March 2022, describes a multitude of serious problems encountered within a short four-month span. These issues include alleged break-ins and theft with management showing a lack of concern, mismanagement of winter road maintenance despite claims to the contrary, and a severe incident involving a busted sewage pipe that was reportedly left uncleaned.
Furthermore, this reviewer alleges unethical and potentially illegal practices by the management, including rent increases without notification even during a lease period, and the generation of backdated letters to cover these actions. Concerns about drunk neighbors causing problems and a lack of management response to unsupervised children allegedly stealing and vandalizing property are also raised. These allegations suggest a breakdown in community safety and management oversight.
The review also highlights significant infrastructure issues, specifically "severely outdated" electrical supplies that Evergy (the local energy provider) is reportedly aware of, but which management allegedly refuses to fix despite being informed. The reviewer claims that management lies about being unaware of these electric issues. Additionally, there are accusations of overcharging residents for sewer and trash services without itemized invoices, and even billing for water services when no water is turned on. The reviewer concludes by stating that "the lies seem to be never ending" and suggests that any positive reviews seen online are likely from park management or employees, not actual tenants.
Based on this overwhelmingly negative feedback, the environment of Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park appears to be significantly проблемatic. The descriptions include poor road maintenance, litter, and a lack of supervision leading to disruptive and potentially unsafe behavior. The alleged sewage issue further indicates a failure in basic infrastructure and sanitation.
The services and features at Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park, as described by the negative reviews, seem to be severely lacking and potentially mismanaged. The allegations of inadequate road maintenance, unresolved safety concerns (break-ins, unsupervised children), and the handling of utility billing raise serious questions about the quality of services provided. The alleged neglect of critical infrastructure like the electrical system is also deeply concerning.
Given the severe nature of the complaints, any promotional information typically associated with a mobile home park – such as affordability, community atmosphere, or amenities – is directly contradicted by the experiences reported by these residents. The reviews suggest a community plagued by neglect, mismanagement, and a disregard for resident well-being.
For local users in Lansing, KS, who are exploring housing options near "RV parks near me," Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park, while technically a residential community, comes with significant red flags based on recent resident feedback. The stark contrast between the potential for stable, affordable living in a manufactured home community and the alleged realities at Parkwood Court is substantial. It is imperative for prospective residents to be fully aware of these serious concerns.
While the provided phone number, (913) 210-0790 or +1 913-210-0790, is the official point of contact, potential residents should approach any information received from management with extreme caution, given the accusations of dishonesty in the reviews. It would be highly advisable to attempt to speak with current residents independently to gain a more unbiased perspective, if possible.
A personal visit to Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park would be essential for anyone still considering this location, but it should be undertaken with a critical eye, specifically looking for evidence of the issues raised in the reviews, such as the condition of the roads, the cleanliness of the grounds, and the general atmosphere of the community. Observing interactions between residents and any visible management presence could also provide valuable insights.
In light of the serious allegations made in the reviews, prospective residents should also consider researching any official complaints filed against Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park with local housing authorities or consumer protection agencies. This could provide a broader understanding of any ongoing issues or regulatory actions.
In conclusion, while Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park in Lansing, KS, is presented as a residential option distinct from nearby RV parks, the available customer reviews paint a severely negative picture of the community's environment, management, and services. Local users seeking longer-term housing are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough, independent due diligence before considering residing at this location. The numerous serious allegations warrant significant investigation and consideration of alternative housing options in the area.

Parkwood Court Mobile Home Park Reviews
Roads have large pot holes in them. Trash all over the place. Pets and kids running wild all day and night. Wish Mike and Valarie hadn't Sold it. Used to be nice and quiet place to live. On waiting list for a new place. Can't wait to move!
Jul 02, 2022 · Rhonda SchmoldtIf I could leave zero stars, I would. I purchased a home here in July 2021. It seemed nice at first. Boy was that wrong. Unsupervised teenagers broke into my property and stole construction tools. Management didn’t care. They do NOT maintain the roads in the winter but management will lie and say they do. Management had a mobile home brought in and busted a sewage pipe. Raw sewage everywhere! They just left it with zero attempt to even clean it up. They will increase your rent without any sort of notification even if you are in a lease. They will lie about that as well and generate letters AFTER they are called out. Drunk neighbors roam the streets and cause problems. Management (Trish Wise) doesn’t care. Countless unsupervised small children run the streets and will steal and vandalize your property. Management doesn’t care. The electrical supplies outside are severely outdated and need upgraded. Evergy says management is fully aware but refuses to fix the issues. Management will lie and say they are clueless about electric issues or Evergy being out to assess issues. The hired maintenance individual confirms that does in fact know the issues and has been in contact with Evergy more than once. They will charge you more than what the city charges for sewer & trash with no itemized invoices. They will even charge you for water services when NO water is even turned on. The lies seem to be never ending. And all of this is just in a 4 month span as I did not even move in until 03/2022.Edited to add… the positive reviews you see are the park management or employees not actual tenants that live here.
Jun 13, 2022 · Nicole GardnerIt would be a hole lot better if they would fix the street. And would listen to you when there is a problem. And with the kids running around in the park undetended? Not! That is what you call summer time. And it's pretty bad when you have one child that wants to molest other children or stab other children in the park and the adult that is the mother or father of this child dose nothing but blame everyone else but themselves. Wow great work on your raising!
Apr 30, 2023 · Brenda AllenI have the honor to say I helped renovate this trailer park amd its nice. Quiet, and the homes are above par.
Apr 21, 2022 · Jason LeSageMoved in recently and am really enjoying it. The people are great and it is nice and quiet here!
