Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages Introduce
For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" in the Statesboro, Georgia area, Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages, situated at 12188 US-301, Statesboro, GA 30458, USA, presents itself as an option offering both RV sites and cottage rentals. Interested parties can contact the park at (912) 681-3105 or +1 912-681-3105 for inquiries about availability and rates. However, it is crucial to consider recent customer feedback regarding communication and business practices before making a decision.
Several recent reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the management and customer service at Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages. One reviewer recounts an experience of paying for a full month but needing to leave after only one week due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite informing the management immediately after payment, a refund for the remaining three weeks was denied with the explanation, "sorry, you should have told us earlier." This lack of flexibility and understanding has led the reviewer to strongly criticize the small business's treatment of people and to suggest a need for more empathy.
Another detailed review highlights significant issues with communication and truthfulness. This individual was in Georgia for disaster relief following Hurricane Helene and contacted Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages seeking a monthly RV site. They were informed that an application was required before a monthly rental could be secured. Subsequently, they were convinced to book a one-week stay at a cost of $300 while the application process was underway, with the understanding that it would take no more than a few days. However, upon calling to confirm the application's progress, they were informed that no monthly sites were available and that the application review would take at least another week. This situation is particularly frustrating as the need was for an RV site, not on-site housing. The reviewer felt that their time and money were wasted, especially considering the availability of monthly RV sites at a nearby park just 12 miles away. This experience led to a strong recommendation against Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages due to "terrible communication" and a suspicion of the management prioritizing short-term gains over honest dealings.
While one reviewer mentions that "The park seems to be a nice area," this positive observation is overshadowed by the serious concerns raised about the management's policies and communication practices. For those searching for "RV parks near me" for either short-term or long-term stays, the reliability and transparency of the park's management are critical factors to consider.
Given these recent negative experiences, prospective guests should exercise caution and seek clear and comprehensive information from Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages before booking. It would be prudent to inquire specifically about their policies on cancellations and refunds, the process and timeline for monthly site applications (if applicable), and the guaranteed availability of sites before committing to a stay, especially for longer durations.
When considering RV parks for a stay, whether short-term or as a longer-term "RV parks near me" option, typical amenities and services sought by RVers include the availability of full hookups (water, electricity, sewage), the size and condition of the RV sites, the presence of restrooms and shower facilities, laundry services, and potentially Wi-Fi access. Information about these aspects is not provided in the reviews, so direct inquiry with the park is necessary to ascertain what is offered.
The mention of "Cottages" in the park's name indicates that they also offer rental accommodations other than RV sites. This might suggest a broader range of facilities on the property. However, the reviews primarily focus on the experiences of RVers attempting to secure a site.
Due to the serious allegations of poor communication and unfair business practices in the provided reviews, it is strongly recommended that anyone considering Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages for their RV stay proceed with extreme caution. Verifying all terms and conditions, especially regarding payment, cancellations, and the availability of desired site types and durations, is essential. Seeking alternative "RV parks near me" with more consistently positive feedback might also be a prudent approach to ensure a smoother and more reliable travel experience in the Statesboro, GA area.
In conclusion, while Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages offers RV sites and cottage rentals in Statesboro, GA, recent customer reviews raise significant concerns about their communication, refund policies, and overall business practices. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct and detailed communication with the park management, before making a reservation. Exploring other options in the vicinity might be advisable to ensure a more satisfactory and trustworthy experience.

Parkwood Rv Park & Cottages Reviews
Told them it would be my last week immediately after paying for a month. I didn’t know id be leaving yet when I paid the month. Manger would not refund the 3 weeks and said “sorry, you should have told us earlier”Be more understanding! That’s not how a small business should treat people!
Apr 22, 2025 · Christian ScottThe park seems to be a nice area, however the communication is terrible and not truthful. I am in Georgia doing disaster relief from hurricane helene. I called Parkwood even to get a monthly site, I was informed I had to fill out an application before we could do monthly rentals. I was convinced to book for 1 week while the application process is going through. Hey no problem I will do that even though 1 week is $300 I did it anyway because I was informed it would take no more than a few days. I call this morning to confirm they have received everything they needed on my end and was informed they had no monthly sites available and it would take at least another week before they could look at my application. Keep in mind this is for a camper not housing on site. So they have completely wasted my time & money coming here when I could have gone 12 miles down the road to beaver run rv park and bought one monthly. I highly don’t recommend due to terrible communication it almost feels as if they just where trying to get more money out of me.
Jan 20, 2025 · chris conwayThis RV Park was fine. We rented a space there for 15 months. Clean restrooms, laundry room always worked fine. The occasional hiccup with Wi-Fi, but that’s pretty much the norm with any Wi-Fi system and management was always helpful with new codes. Communication was good regarding rent and power due dates. They have propane fill up onsite, although be prepared to pay a flat fee regardless of amount to top off. Again, for the convenience, not a huge deal. Park is well lit and full coverage camera surveillance made me feel comfortable with my wife staying here solo many time for her job. We would definitely look for space again if needed.
Nov 04, 2024 · Blaine BrinkleyWith plans to move our daughter into Georgia Southern University, we scheduled a few night stay. When sudden announcement of Hurricane Debby (2024) was coming through at the same time, we called to cancel as its unsafe to travel with an RV. Parkwood responded that we are past the 48 hour window, which is understandable for normal circumstances, but a hurricane...come on. We ate the cost and stayed in a hotel for safety reasons. We will communicate to friends the unfair service, and redirecting future stays to Beaver Run RV Park instead.
Aug 08, 2024 · Tony MadoreThis was a perfect spot to camp while we were in town visiting family. Our site was very roomy and easily accommodated our 37 foot fifth wheel and F250. The internet was very fast and the campground was clean and quiet. While not fancy, it certainly gave us a nice place to rest which is all we were looking for. Easy access off of major road with plenty around. Would recommend and stay again.
