Pelican Cay RV Park LLC Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the beautiful Key Largo, Florida, Pelican Cay RV Park LLC, located at 299 Morris Ave, Key Largo, FL 33037, USA, presents itself as a potential option. You can contact them by phone at (305) 451-5223 or via mobile at +1 305-451-5223 to inquire about availability and make reservations. However, it is crucial to note that customer reviews for Pelican Cay RV Park LLC present a stark contrast in experiences, which potential guests should carefully consider.
One reviewer shared a highly positive experience, awarding the park five stars and highlighting a friendly atmosphere where every person encountered offered greetings. They appreciated the ample parking for an extra vehicle, which can be a significant convenience for travelers. This guest acknowledged ongoing construction within the park, noting the presence of machinery and parts but stating that no work was being done during their stay. While they observed that the park "does look a bit run down and even scary to some," they assured that they encountered no trouble and felt it provided a sense of "true living in the keys." For this reviewer, who primarily needed a place to hook up their RV and sleep rather than a resort-style experience, Pelican Cay was a "perfect match." They specifically praised the quietness of the park, describing it as "hands down the quietest place we have camped," with "pure silence." The reviewer also noted that the bathrooms and laundry facilities required a code and were clean. Although they didn't personally use the showers or restrooms in their RV, they appreciated the availability. Furthermore, they commended the "awesome" Wi-Fi, which allowed their children to complete homework. They also mentioned a friendly staff member named Humberto who assisted with parking. This positive reviewer expressed optimism about the park's appearance once the construction is completed and stated their intention to return the following year.
In stark contrast, another reviewer had an extremely negative experience, which lasted only one hour of their intended one-night stay. They unequivocally labeled the place a "dump" and strongly encouraged others to "stay away." This reviewer described the park as looking like a "junk yard" with "very tight quarters." They had booked a two-week stay but immediately decided they could not remain there. They also reported that a refund was not forthcoming. This negative review strongly advises potential guests to "research this place thoroughly before booking." The reviewer's decision to leave was seemingly precipitated by neighbors returning and playing loud music, followed by alleged harassment when the reviewer reacted to the noise, leading to a feeling of being "very uncomfortable."
Adding to the negative sentiment, a third reviewer succinctly described Pelican Cay RV Park LLC as "not a campground, this is a ghetto - don't go there." This harsh assessment further underscores the significant concerns raised about the park's environment and atmosphere.
Considering these widely divergent reviews, potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" in Key Largo face a complex decision regarding Pelican Cay RV Park LLC. While one reviewer found it to be a quiet and suitable option for basic RV needs with friendly service and good Wi-Fi, others described it as a rundown "dump" with a negative atmosphere and issues with noise and neighbors. The ongoing construction mentioned by the positive reviewer might contribute to the differing perceptions, with some finding it tolerable and others finding the park to resemble a "junk yard."
Information regarding specific services and features of Pelican Cay RV Park LLC is somewhat limited and conflicting based on these reviews. The positive review mentions clean, code-accessed bathrooms and laundry facilities, as well as "awesome" Wi-Fi and ample parking for an extra car. However, the negative reviews do not comment on these aspects, focusing instead on the overall appearance and atmosphere. The mention of construction suggests that the park may be undergoing improvements, which could potentially address some of the aesthetic concerns raised. However, the timing and impact of this construction on the guest experience are unclear.
Details about the environment of the park are also mixed. The positive reviewer described it as having a "feel of true living in the keys" and being quiet, while the negative reviewers used terms like "dump," "junk yard," and "ghetto," and reported "very tight quarters" and noise issues. This significant discrepancy makes it difficult to form a clear picture of the park's physical surroundings and overall ambiance.
There is no information provided about recreational amenities, pet policies, restrictions on RV sizes or types, or any community events. Similarly, there is no mention of any promotional information or special offers for potential guests.
For local users and travelers seeking "RV parks near me" in Key Largo, Pelican Cay RV Park LLC presents a highly variable picture based on the limited available reviews. The positive experience highlights a quiet park with clean facilities, good Wi-Fi, and friendly service, albeit with ongoing construction and a somewhat rundown appearance. The negative experiences, however, paint a picture of a poorly maintained park with a negative atmosphere, tight spaces, and potential issues with noise and neighbors. The strong and contradictory nature of these reviews necessitates extreme caution and further investigation before making a booking.
Given the significant risks highlighted in the negative reviews, it is strongly recommended that anyone considering Pelican Cay RV Park LLC for their stay in Key Largo should contact the management directly at (305) 451-5223 or +1 305-451-5223 to seek clarification on the issues raised. It would be prudent to inquire specifically about the current state of the construction, the layout and size of the RV sites, parking arrangements, noise policies, security measures, and the park's refund policy. Additionally, if possible, seeking more recent reviews or attempting to speak with current guests might provide a more up-to-date and balanced perspective. The stark contrast in the existing feedback underscores the importance of thorough research and due diligence before committing to a stay at Pelican Cay RV Park LLC.

Pelican Cay RV Park LLC Reviews
I gave 5 stars really had no issues every person i ran into greeted us an was friendly. There was plenty of parking for an extra car. You can tell there is lots of construction which is fine there was just machinery and parts there was nothing going at the time of our stay. It does look a bit run down and even scary to some but let me assure you no one gave us any trouble. It really gave that feel of true living in the keys. We really were just wanting a place to hook up and sleep. A resort was not what we were looking for an Pelican Cay was a perfect match for us. They provided a place to park our RV hook up for couple nights and be on our way. Hands down the quietest place we have camped! We heard nothing but pure silence. Bathrooms an laundry have a code everything was clean. We had an RV so didnt need their showers or restrooms. Wifi was awesome my kids even got some homework done. Humberto helped guide us into our spot and was friendly. I think once all the construction is finished its going to look great! We definitely will be back next year!
Nov 13, 2021 · Natalia BowenHad a one nights experience which lasted only 1 hour. This place is a dump and encourage anyone to stay away. Looked like a junk yard and very tight quarters. We had booked a two-week stay and quickly advised them that we could not stay in this place. No refund has been forthcoming. Please research this place thoroughly before booking. Our stay ended when the neighbors came home and turned up the music and then harassed us saying "oh don't like music". Felt very uncomfortable. This is not a campground, this is a ghetto - don't go there.
Nov 17, 2015 · Sharon CampfieldOnly giving one because I have to. PLEASE listen to the other reviews advising to stay away from here... we didn’t and it cost us. This place is beat up, run down and don’t let them tell you they are rebuilding from the hurricane because we were told by 2 people that were there last year that the place is exactly the same ... run down dump! The on-site manager Beau was drunk when we arrived to check in and asked my husband if he wanted to burn one. The next morning we contacted the owners, they couldn’t care less they weren’t even on-site nor did they make an effort to. Bottom line is don’t let them fool you. We were threatened by Beau with the cops and having our RV towed clearly there is something not quite right there.... *Beware*. We had 3 people come up to us ——apparently the on site manager has a bit of a problem with everyone there and is excluded from things because of his drinking and drugs. They ARE NOT REBUILDING they are a beat up run down, pile of rocks, not worth your time
Feb 17, 2018 · Sharron SnavelyWent with my wife for a weekend getaway. We had a great time, if you need a relaxing vacation without rush this is a great place. We stayed in the 50' House Boat it was great. We got to fish with the locals at the dock. We took the Canoe before dawn and came back around noonish. Great atmosphere. Say hi to the rooster for me.
Dec 03, 2012 · J SalLittle bit of a sketchy place when arriving at night, we were greeted by "this car doesn't look familiar to me".. (Well that because we just arrived and were looking for a camp site) They require payment upfront which is fine but Susan was hovering over me watching me when I was getting the money from my car. That being said, after we got settled in, she (Susan) was a lot more friendly and so were the other people at the camp site. They have a boat dock that surrounds the camp site but it has definitely seen better days, I would not recommend having little children walking/running on it. Fishing is pretty good from it at night. They have one bathroom for men and another for women. They were OK, it wasn't super dirty nor was it super clean. The ground is hard making it difficult to put tent spikes in the ground so make sure you have a hammer.
