Pine Haven RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to information about Pine Haven RV Resort, situated at 8152 FM561 in De Kalb, Texas (zip code 75559). For those searching under the category of "RV parks near me" in the De Kalb area or Northeast Texas, Pine Haven RV Resort offers a location in a quiet country setting. You can reach them at (903) 501-7463 or via mobile at +1 903-501-7463 to inquire about availability and services. Based on recent customer reviews, it appears that while the hospitality is commendable and the location offers tranquility, the resort may be undergoing development or have site conditions that potential visitors should be aware of.
The environment of Pine Haven RV Resort is described as a "great, quiet country setting." This suggests a peaceful and potentially scenic location away from the noise and congestion of more urban areas. The rural setting could appeal to those seeking a relaxing getaway and an opportunity to enjoy nature. However, one reviewer noted that the campground was described as "basically a field with hookups," leading to the impression that it might not yet fully embody the amenities and infrastructure typically associated with an "RV resort." This suggests that while the natural surroundings may be appealing, the developed facilities might be more basic at present.
In terms of services and features, the reviews provide some insights but also highlight areas where potential improvements might be underway:
- Friendly and Helpful Host: Both reviews specifically commend the host, Eddie, for being "great," "super nice," "helpful," and "friendly." This emphasis on hospitality suggests a welcoming and positive interaction with the park management.
- Pull-Through and Back-In Sites: The availability of both premium pull-through sites and potentially back-in sites is indicated. Pull-through sites are generally preferred by RVers for their ease of access, especially for larger rigs, as they do not require backing up. However, one reviewer experienced issues with a pull-through site that was "narrow muddy and flooded" after a period of rain. The host did apologize for this, suggesting that site conditions can be variable, particularly during wet weather. The reviewer also suggested that back-in sites might be preferable in such conditions if they offer better drainage or grass.
- Hookups: The mention of "a field with hookups" confirms the availability of essential utilities for RVs. However, the specifics of these hookups (e.g., amperage of electrical service, water pressure, sewer connections) are not detailed. It would be prudent for potential guests to inquire about the types and reliability of the hookups available at their chosen site.
- Overnight Stays: One reviewer found the campground "ok for our overnight stay," indicating that it serves as a convenient stop for travelers.
- Ongoing Development: The hope expressed by one reviewer that "the owner is able to develop the property into an actual rv resort" suggests that the park may be in the process of upgrading its facilities and amenities. This could mean that future stays might offer a more resort-like experience.
Features that are typically expected at an RV resort, but are not explicitly mentioned as fully developed in the reviews, might include: level and well-maintained sites with good drainage, paved roads, landscaping, recreational facilities (such as a pool, playground, or community center), clean and modern restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, and potentially organized activities. The description of the park as "basically a field with hookups" implies that some of these features may be either absent or under development.
Promotional information is not provided in the reviews. Individuals interested in staying at Pine Haven RV Resort should contact them directly using the phone numbers provided ((903) 501-7463 or +1 903-501-7463) to inquire about current rates, site availability, specific amenities, and any special offers that might be available. Given the recent feedback about site conditions, it would be wise to ask detailed questions about the condition of the sites, especially if there has been recent rainfall.
The location in De Kalb, Texas, offers a rural environment. De Kalb is a town in Bowie County, located in the far northeast corner of Texas. This area is known for its natural beauty and slower pace of life. Potential visitors might find opportunities for outdoor activities in the surrounding region, although specific attractions near the RV park are not mentioned in the reviews. It would be beneficial for travelers to research local points of interest based on their preferences, such as state parks, lakes, or historical sites, in relation to the park's location on FM561.
In conclusion, Pine Haven RV Resort in De Kalb, TX, offers a quiet country setting and is praised for its friendly host. It appears to provide basic RV hookups and is suitable for overnight stays. However, based on recent reviews, potential guests should be aware that the facilities might be more akin to a basic campground than a fully developed resort at this time, with potential issues regarding site conditions, particularly during wet weather. The hope for future development suggests that the resort may be evolving. It is highly recommended that interested travelers contact Pine Haven RV Resort directly for the most current information on site availability, amenities, and any ongoing improvements.

Pine Haven RV Resort Reviews
This is a gorgeous location and Eddie was a great host, super nice. Now the problem is we requested a premium pull through just for the night and it had been raining quite awhile. Our pull through was narrow muddy and flooded. Eddie apologized for that so I hate to complain. Next time just suggest a back in if those are the only ones with grass, and not flooded. We do hope to come back when this place is fixed up!
Dec 16, 2024 · Lani UlibarriWe happened upon this campground when we got off the highway headed toward another site. Turned out it was further from our route than we wanted, so I called to see if Pine Haven had availability. Our first impression was, “ This is NOT a resort.” But the guy who welcomed us was so helpful and friendly that we overlooked the appearance. The campground was ok for our overnight stay, but I would hate to see anyone plan a longer stay not knowing that it is basically a field with hookups. I describe it as a field of dreams. The location is great, quiet country setting. I hope the owner is able to develop the property into an actual rv resort.
Oct 01, 2024 · Karen GardnerI will give 2 stars for the location and the super nice gentleman at the desk. This is not an RV "Resort". Is it barely an RV park. They do not even have a dog park and allow people to let their dogs roam free - no leash required. Poop where they want to and no one picks it up. Yes I have 2 small dogs and still hate this situation. They have patches of weeds, not grass, and the sites are a muddy mess when it rains. Gravel was not laid properly and sites have holes that will make it difficult to level your rig. No cable, no wifi, no shade trees, etc. The laundry room was filthy. If you need to pull off the road to sleep and do not intend to stay - maybe. An RV Resort implies somewhere to stay in your rig and play with a pool, mini golf, play ground, pickleball courts, something.
Mar 26, 2024 · Deborah GrissomThis is a great new campground just off the highway in a pretty country setting. The manager was friendly and helpful, the sites were big enough for our BIG rig and very level and its super quiet. We will definitely stay there again.
Jan 07, 2024 · Pamela VaillancourtFirst off, I did not stay there. But want to share my interaction. We were on the highway from texarkana and realized we were LOW, LOW on gas. Gps said there was a gas a few miles off. Just to be sure, I called the number on the sign at RV park. Guy who answered directed 4 or 5 miles up street but he said that if we ran out of gas getting there to call back n he would bring us gas. Now THAT is quality southern hospitality. If I'm ever in the area n looking for camp site, I will be there. Good people that guy is. Btw, we did make it to an I credibly friendly gas station n made it on our way
