Prospect Park Mobile Home Community Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Aurora, Missouri area, it's valuable to consider the broader spectrum of residential options available, including mobile home communities. While the platform category focuses on RV parks, understanding nearby mobile home parks can provide insights into different types of longer-term accommodation. This introduction offers an overview of Prospect Park Mobile Home Community, located at 422 E Prospect St, Aurora, MO 65605, USA, based on publicly available customer reviews.
Prospect Park Mobile Home Community is situated in Aurora, Missouri. Mobile home parks typically offer spaces for individuals and families to reside in manufactured homes on rented or leased lots. These communities often operate under different management structures and provide varying levels of services and amenities compared to traditional RV parks, which primarily cater to temporary recreational vehicle stays. While the search category is "RV parks near me," examining information about nearby mobile home communities like Prospect Park can offer a more comprehensive understanding of the local residential landscape.
The limited publicly available reviews for Prospect Park Mobile Home Community paint a concerning picture regarding the management and living conditions. One detailed review from a former resident describes a highly negative experience. This individual, who moved to Prospect Park from out of state, alleges significant issues with the park's management during their residency. The review claims that the park was "ran by people who were embezzling money," which directly impacted the reviewer through the alleged mishandling of their security deposit and pet deposit. According to the review, these deposits had to be paid again to a new manager who purportedly showed a lack of concern for past financial irregularities.
Furthermore, the former resident describes the condition of the trailer they lived in as "terrible," citing multiple unresolved maintenance issues. These included repeated water main breaks, a pervasive presence of cats living under the trailer, visible gaps to the outside through the floor, and a shower area with significant mold that was never addressed despite promises of repair. Additionally, a malfunctioning front door that would not close was also reportedly left unrepaired. Frustration with the lack of maintenance ultimately led the reviewer to move out. Despite allegedly paying the last month's rent and being told they would not be charged further due to the initial condition of the trailer, the reviewer claims to have received no communication or accounting regarding their security deposit, despite multiple attempts to contact the management. This has led the former resident to state their intention to file a lawsuit and to advise others of the "crappy management who don't care about anything but drama."
Another review from a long-term resident (since 1998) also expresses significant dissatisfaction with the park's management. This review cites concerns about excessive lot rent and alleges dishonesty regarding promised services, specifically mentioning the failure to trim trees despite assurances. The reviewer also claims that empty lots are not cleaned but that management complains about the cleanliness of other tenants' properties. This long-term resident concludes by expressing being "about done with these con artist," indicating a severe lack of trust and a desire to leave the community after many years of residency.
Based on these two available reviews, the overall sentiment towards Prospect Park Mobile Home Community is overwhelmingly negative. The primary concerns revolve around the park's management, including allegations of financial mismanagement, a lack of responsiveness to maintenance issues, and a perceived lack of honesty and care for residents. The living conditions described in one review are particularly concerning, highlighting potentially unsafe and unhealthy environments within the rented trailers. The issue of high lot rent coupled with a lack of promised services, as mentioned by the long-term resident, further contributes to a negative perception of the park's value and management practices.
Information regarding specific services and features of Prospect Park Mobile Home Community is limited to the issues raised in the negative reviews. Typically, mobile home parks provide basic infrastructure such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups at each lot. Maintenance of common areas and potentially trash removal are also common services. However, the reviews suggest significant shortcomings in the provision of maintenance and potentially in the overall management of the park's responsibilities.
No promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Individuals interested in residency at Prospect Park Mobile Home Community would need to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers – (417) 440-2245 or the mobile number +1 417-440-2245 – to inquire about lot availability, rental rates, lease terms, and the specific services and amenities offered. However, given the serious allegations raised in the publicly available reviews, prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering residency at this community.
This due diligence should include directly contacting the management to address the concerns raised in the reviews and to inquire about their policies and procedures. It would also be highly advisable to visit the park in person to assess the current environment and, if possible, speak with current residents to gain a more balanced and up-to-date understanding of the living conditions and management practices. The significant negative feedback suggests potential risks associated with residing at Prospect Park Mobile Home Community, particularly concerning management integrity and the upkeep of the properties.
In the context of a local user searching for "RV parks near me," the information about Prospect Park Mobile Home Community serves as a cautionary example of a residential option that has received significant negative feedback regarding its management and living conditions. While not an RV park, it exists within the local housing landscape and understanding such experiences can inform a user's broader search for suitable accommodation, whether temporary or long-term. The stark contrast between the platform's focus on RV parks and the issues raised about this mobile home community underscores the importance of careful research and consideration of all available information when making housing decisions.
In conclusion, the publicly available reviews for Prospect Park Mobile Home Community in Aurora, MO, raise serious concerns about the park's management, maintenance practices, and overall living conditions. Allegations of financial mismanagement, unresolved maintenance issues, high lot rent coupled with a lack of promised services, and a generally negative sentiment from both a former and a long-term resident paint a troubling picture. Prospective residents are strongly urged to proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough independent investigation, and directly address the concerns raised in these reviews with the park management before making any decisions about residing at Prospect Park Mobile Home Community.

Prospect Park Mobile Home Community Reviews
Lived here after moving from a different state. They ran by people who were embezzling money , including my deposit and pet deposit which I ended having to pay again because when they got a new manager they didn't seem to care. The trailer we lived in was terrible. We had water main bust MULTIPLE times. Cats lived everywhere under our trailer. We could see outside through our floor and it was never resolved. Our shower wasn't even a shower wall it had mold all over it. They said they would fix it but never did. Our front door wouldn't close they said they would fix it and never did. Finally when we were fed up with waiting for them to do anything we decided to move which we did. We paid our last months rent and even were told we wouldn't be charged for anything because of the state of the trailer when we moved in. I have called and messaged multiple times to see what happened to our deposit and needless to say they haven't gotten back with me nor have sent any paperwork with receipts for what they used my deposit for. I will be filing a suit but I just want everyone else to know this place is ran by crappy management who don't care about anything but drama
Apr 02, 2025 · Kathlyn HughesLot rent is too high and they constantly lie about trimming trees, don't even clean the empty lots but complain of other tenants not being clean. About done with these con artist. This is coming from someone living here since 1998!!!
Apr 01, 2025 · MarvinNasty, scandalous, and sheisty are a few words to describe Michelle (Park management) and how she does things. I stayed here a few months and on the side, did some remodeling for the park. I have VIDEO, PHOTO, & AUDIO of her having us paint and floor over mold and human poop. She is also notorious for making up random excuses when it comes time to pay back deposits. Maintenance, Michelle, and an owner said our house was kept the cleanest they have seen and kept asking us to stay because we were excellent tenants and check this out.....She stole our $900 deposit! She has done this to many people that I personally know there. Stay away!! CEDAR GLENN AS WELL! HOTLINE her!!!! If am owner would like to contact me, please email and we'll set up a call.
Apr 30, 2024 · Young Bleez Da ProGPS gets you to the park but you're on your own in finding the right trailer number, get detailed instructions of where their trailer is located.
May 24, 2024 · Tracie FosterI like this mobile home park. It has plenty of shade trees and space between each trailer. And my dad and grandma live there so I go there quite often. It can be hard to get a place to rent there though if you don't make $1,200 a month or have a felon of any kind on your record.
