Red Bay Acres Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Red Bay, Alabama, Red Bay Acres, located at 996 9th St W, Red Bay, AL 35582, presents a location-centric option with a mix of positive features and areas for potential improvement, according to recent customer reviews. Situated conveniently near key manufacturing facilities and offering on-site amenities, Red Bay Acres caters to a range of RV travelers visiting the area.
One of the most significant advantages of Red Bay Acres is its strategic location. It is described as being "next door to the Girard factory and a block from Tiffen." This proximity is a major draw for individuals visiting these prominent RV and RV accessory manufacturers for service, tours, or other business. The convenience of being within walking or very short driving distance to these facilities can save travelers valuable time and effort.
The park also boasts a "nice store with very friendly staff" and a "restaurant on site." These on-site amenities add significant value to the guest experience. Having a store within the RV park allows travelers to easily purchase necessities or souvenirs without having to leave the premises. The presence of a restaurant offers a convenient dining option, eliminating the need to seek out meals elsewhere, especially after a long day of travel or appointments. One reviewer specifically recommends the "chicken salad" from the restaurant, describing it as "bomb!" This positive culinary feedback can be a strong promotional point.
Beyond the location and on-site services, Red Bay Acres offers several other amenities. These include "concrete pads" for the RV sites, which are generally preferred for their stability and cleanliness. A "pickle ball court" is available for recreational enjoyment, catering to the growing popularity of this sport. For pet owners, there is a designated "dog area," providing a safe space for their animals to exercise. The park also features a "lounge area to sit," offering a communal space for relaxation and socializing. Additionally, the "office store combo" provides a central point for check-in, inquiries, and purchasing items. A "pond" is also mentioned as an amenity, potentially adding to the aesthetic appeal and offering a tranquil spot within the park.
However, one detailed review provides a more critical perspective, particularly concerning the cost relative to the amenities offered. This reviewer acknowledges the pros mentioned above but raises several cons. A primary concern is the lack of a swimming pool, which the reviewer feels should be present given the price point. They also express the opinion that the overall "eminities" are not sufficient to justify the cost of $72 per night, based on their experience and comparisons to other resorts at a similar price.
The same reviewer also details a negative experience with the pricing transparency. They state that the website showed a higher price than their last stay, and upon calling, they were informed that they could not even get the advertised website price due to a recent increase. This lack of price consistency and the feeling of being overcharged left a negative impression on the reviewer, who felt it was "no way to run a business."
Further cons mentioned include the absence of a laundry facility and a bathhouse. These are often considered essential amenities for RV parks, especially for longer stays or for travelers who prefer not to use their RV's limited facilities. The lack of these can detract from the overall value proposition, especially at a higher price point.
The reviewer concludes by questioning whether a $72 per night charge is justified, stating that they have stayed at "a lot of really nice resorts for that price" and that Red Bay Acres is "overpriced for the market." They further illustrate this point by noting that for the cost of their two nights at Red Bay Acres, they could have stayed at other campgrounds in Red Bay for six nights. This strong statement regarding the perceived lack of value is a significant piece of feedback for potential guests to consider.
In summary, Red Bay Acres offers a convenient location, especially for those visiting the Girard and Tiffin factories, along with some appealing on-site amenities such as a store, restaurant, pickleball court, and dog area. However, potential guests should be aware of concerns raised about the pricing relative to the amenities offered, particularly the lack of a pool, laundry, and bathhouse, as well as potential issues with price transparency.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Red Bay, Red Bay Acres presents a trade-off between location and amenities versus cost. If proximity to Girard and Tiffin is a top priority, and the on-site store and restaurant are appealing, the park might be a suitable choice. However, those who prioritize a wider range of amenities, such as a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and bathhouses, or who are more budget-conscious, may want to weigh these factors against the reported price point and consider other options in the area.
It is advisable for potential guests to contact Red Bay Acres directly at (855) 473-3229 or +1 855-473-3229 to inquire about current pricing, the availability and condition of all amenities, and to get a clear understanding of what is included in the nightly rate. Reading recent reviews from multiple sources can also provide a balanced perspective on the overall experience of staying at Red Bay Acres.
While the park offers some attractive features and a prime location for certain visitors, the concerns raised about the value for money are significant and should be carefully considered by those looking for "RV parks near me" in Red Bay, Alabama. It's important to align your priorities and budget with the offerings and pricing of Red Bay Acres to determine if it meets your specific needs and expectations.

Red Bay Acres Reviews
Great RV Park next door to the Girard factory and a block from Tiffen. Nice store with very friendly staff and a restaurant on site. The chicken salad is bomb! Highly recommend.
May 02, 2025 · Kimmie HajdukMy rating is based on the cost which does not come close to the value of the resort. It does have a number of pros which are: 1.concrete pads 2. Pickle ball court 3. Dog area 4. Lounge area to sit 5. Office store combo. 5. Pond The cons are: 1. For the price there should be a swim pool. 2. Not enough eminities to justify the cost. 3. I did not appreciate how I was charged. The webb site showed a price much higher then my last stay. I called and was told that I could not even get the advertised webb page price because they had another increase. That is no way to run a business. 4. No laundry 5.No bathhouse 6.One needs to ask if it is really worth $72 a night. I have stayed at a lot of really nice resorts for that price. It is overpriced for the market. For my two nights at Red Bay Acres I could have stayed at any other campground in Red Bay for six nights for the same amount of money.

Nov 16, 2024 · Tom SchuppThis is a great little campground. If you’re going for Tiffin service or just passing through I highly recommend it. The staff is friendly and helpful. The campground is very clean and well-maintained and attractive. The sites are level, back in with full hook ups.
