Downtown Red Bay RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in Red Bay, Alabama? Look no further than Downtown Red Bay RV Park, located at 254 5th Ave S, Red Bay, AL 35582. Based on recent customer reviews, this small and conveniently situated RV park offers essential amenities, a friendly atmosphere, and proximity to the heart of Red Bay, making it a potentially ideal choice for both short and longer stays.
One of the primary advantages of Downtown Red Bay RV Park is its location. As the name suggests, it is "close to downtown Red Bay," offering easy access to local shops, restaurants, and other attractions the town might have to offer. This convenience is particularly appealing for travelers who like to explore the areas they visit without having to drive long distances.
The physical characteristics of the RV park are also described in some detail. One reviewer notes that the campsites are "very small" and are situated "on the old foundation of a former feed building." While the size might be a consideration for RVers with very large rigs or those who prefer expansive sites, the fact that "8 of the 10 sites are on concrete, two are gravel; all are pretty level" is a significant positive. Level concrete pads provide a stable and clean base for parking and setting up RVs, which is highly valued by travelers.
In terms of amenities, Downtown Red Bay RV Park offers "full hook ups," which typically include water, electricity, and sewer connections. This is essential for the comfort and convenience of RV travelers. However, one reviewer mentions "very low water pressure," which is something potential guests should be aware of and perhaps inquire about when making a reservation.
Customer service appears to be a strong point at Downtown Red Bay RV Park. Both reviewers specifically mention the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. One reviewer praises "Vickie" as being "very helpful" and notes that the "owners are nice." The second reviewer describes the "family that owns the park" as "just delightful." Such positive feedback about the management and staff can greatly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park.
A notable feature that will be appreciated by pet owners is the inclusion of a "dog park." The second reviewer expresses their love for this amenity, indicating that it's a valuable addition for those traveling with dogs, providing a dedicated space for pets to exercise and socialize safely.
The second review also highlights the "wonderful newer hookups" and the fact that the entire park is "all concrete," reinforcing the positive aspects of the infrastructure. The reviewer also mentions that the "after hours guys enjoy working here no gravel or mud," suggesting that the park is well-maintained and provides a clean environment for both guests and staff.
The small size of the park, with "only 11 spots," is mentioned as a potential benefit for those seeking a quieter and more intimate camping experience. The reviewer also notes that this size allows for opportunities to "meet the others and make friends," fostering a sense of community among the guests.
Another unique and convenient feature mentioned is the "self check in" process and the reservation system that extends "through the day you decide to leave." This flexibility can be particularly helpful for travelers who are getting work done in the area or whose plans might be subject to change. It eliminates the pressure of a fixed departure date and allows for a more relaxed stay.
Overall, based on the available reviews, Downtown Red Bay RV Park offers a compelling package for RVers visiting or passing through Red Bay, Alabama. Its key features and benefits include:

Close to downtown Red Bay, very small camp sites on old foundation of former feed building. Full hook ups with very low water pressure; Vickie is very helpful and owners are nice. 8 of the 10 sites are on concrete, two are gravel; all are pretty level. This is a self check in and your reservation is through the day you decide to leave; very helpful when getting work done.

The family that owns the park are just delightful.Love the dog park they have for the puppies 😍❤️It's so convenient to everything! The after hours guys enjoy working here no gravel or mud.It is the best in the area!Only 11 spots so very quiet but wonderful to meet the others and make friends.
Mar 30, 2019 · L HOne of the nicest self service parks in Red Bay! Owners are super friendly and it sits literally right off the main downtown street. Walking distance to Big Star market and the newest Tiffin Customer Service Lounge. There's also a fenced yard for your pets to roam. My only complaint was the water pressure was a little low, but other than that, this is the perfect spot!
Jun 23, 2020 · K SIt’s great for what it is, a place to park overnight waiting for the RV to be serviced at one of the many Tiffin places in town. Full hook ups, easy to walk around town- make sure to check out where Tiffins are born and take the tour!!
Aug 15, 2023 · Lori BickfordVicki was great to work with and very helpful in allowing us to stay in the same spot for 10 nights. We believe the location is the best in Red Bay as it allowed us to walk to restaurants, grocery stores, and other shopping. It's one of the few campgrounds that has concrete slabs. Vicki allowed all the dog owners to use the fenced grassy area adjacent to our site to allow the dogs to run and play. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Red Bay in the future.
