Reflections on Silver Lake Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it's essential to also be aware of the various residential options available in the surrounding areas, including mobile home communities that may offer a different style of long-term living. In this context, we present an overview of Reflections on Silver Lake Mobile Home Community, located at 3522 Bill Sachsenmaier Memorial Dr, Avon Park, FL 33825, USA. This introduction is based on publicly available customer reviews to provide an objective perspective on the community, highlighting both its positive aspects and areas of concern.
Reflections on Silver Lake Mobile Home Community is situated in Avon Park, Florida, offering a residential setting for mobile homeowners. The location suggests a potentially serene environment near Silver Lake, which could contribute to the community's ambiance. Mobile home parks can be an attractive option for those seeking affordable homeownership within a managed community setting, where residents typically own their homes but lease the land.
According to recent customer reviews, Reflections on Silver Lake has fostered a strong sense of community among its residents. One long-term resident of ten years highlighted that "The people in the community are wonderful and caring." This positive social aspect is a significant draw for many seeking a supportive and engaging living environment. Building connections with neighbors and feeling a sense of belonging can greatly enhance the quality of life within a residential park.
The reviews also commend specific staff members for their exceptional service. Tammy, the Activity/Entertainment director, is described as "amazing" and someone who "goes above and beyond" for the residents. The activities and entertainment provided are clearly a valued aspect of life at Reflections on Silver Lake. Gerald in the office is also praised as a "gem," being "so kind and helpful." Furthermore, the previous park manager, Tina, who retired in March 2025, is remembered fondly for her dedication and willingness to assist residents, even in challenging situations like water line breaks. The appreciation for these staff members underscores their positive impact on the community.
However, the reviews also raise several significant concerns regarding the current state of the park's amenities, maintenance, and management. One recurring issue is the frequent breakdown of laundry facilities, with a recent report of "6 dryers out of order and 3 or 4 washers." This lack of functioning laundry equipment can be a major inconvenience for residents.
Another point of contention is the status of the pools and hot tubs. Residents report being told that these are "not amenities" covered by their rent, despite the community website listing them as such. Additionally, the pools are described as "cold," and the hot tub is frequently "down and not useable." These issues detract from the "resort" feel that residents believe they are paying for, especially given the increasing rent.
Frequent water line breaks leading to water shutoffs are another significant problem highlighted in the reviews. Residents report these occurrences happening frequently and often without advance notice, causing considerable disruption to daily life, such as being unable to rinse off during a shower. The lack of preventative maintenance is cited as a potential contributing factor to these ongoing issues.
Concerns are also raised regarding the new park manager who took over after Tina's retirement. Residents report a lack of communication and engagement, noting that the new manager "hasn't attended coffee hours to introduce himself" and is reportedly only present part-time due to managing another park run by the same company, Legacy. Furthermore, the new manager is reportedly not accepting appointments from residents to answer questions, stating he is still getting acquainted with the park. This lack of visibility and communication has left residents feeling "abandoned and unheard."
Maintenance of the park grounds is another area of concern. Despite residents paying for lawn care services ("mow, weed eat, and spray for weeds"), there are observations of "many lots in need of mowing." This inconsistency in upkeep suggests potential issues with the contracted services or oversight by the management.
The long-term residents express disappointment with the increasing rent, especially in light of the unaddressed maintenance issues and amenity problems. The sentiment is that they are paying for a "resort" experience that is not being delivered. This has reportedly led to "so many homes for sale" and residents choosing not to return for the following year, raising concerns about the future of the community's vibrancy.
Interestingly, despite the numerous issues, there is a mention of the park entrance being redone. This decision is questioned by residents who feel that resources should be prioritized towards addressing the existing maintenance and amenity problems rather than cosmetic upgrades aimed at attracting new residents who may be unaware of the current conditions.
While the strong sense of community and the efforts of dedicated staff members like Tammy and Gerald are significant positives, the concerns regarding management communication, amenity functionality, and maintenance are serious considerations for anyone looking at Reflections on Silver Lake as a potential place to live. The discrepancy between the advertised "resort" lifestyle and the reported realities is a key point of contention for current residents.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might also consider a mobile home community for a longer-term stay, Reflections on Silver Lake presents a mixed picture. The friendly community and dedicated activity director are definite assets. However, the reported issues with laundry facilities, pools and hot tubs, water shutoffs, management engagement, and park maintenance need to be carefully considered.
Prospective residents are strongly encouraged to conduct thorough due diligence. This should include contacting the park management directly at (863) 453-5756 or +1 863-453-5756 to discuss the concerns raised in the reviews and to inquire about the current status of amenities and maintenance plans. It would also be beneficial, if possible, to speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the living experience at Reflections on Silver Lake.
In conclusion, Reflections on Silver Lake Mobile Home Community in Avon Park, Florida, offers a welcoming community and some dedicated staff members who are highly regarded by residents. However, there are significant concerns regarding the functionality of amenities, the frequency of water disruptions, the responsiveness of the new management, and the upkeep of the park. The increasing rent in the face of these issues is a major point of dissatisfaction for current residents. While the sense of community is a strong positive, potential residents must weigh this against the reported challenges and conduct thorough research before making a decision about living at Reflections on Silver Lake.

Reflections on Silver Lake Reviews
We have been in the park for 10 years. I will start with the positive. We have Tammy for our Activity/Entertainment director and she is amazing. She goes above and beyond. Gerald is a gem in the office. Gerald is so kind and helpful.Tina was the park manager and she was one of a kind. I've seen her in rain boots helping the maintenance men with a water line break.Tina went above and beyond as well. We suffered a great loss when she retired. The people in the community are wonderful and caring. Now for the negative. I went to the laundry mat Thursday to find 6 dryers out of order and 3 or 4 washers. Been told the pools and hot tubs are not amenities which is covered in our rent. The website lists them as amenities! Water lines continued to break thus our water is shut off for the repairs. This happens frequently. The new manager hasn't attended coffee hours to introduce himself. Been told he's a nice man but that's all I know other than he is here part time due to managing another park run by Legacy. We pay someone to mow, weed eat, and spray for weeds. Driving thru the park we have noticed many lots in need of mowing. I realize there are times where the grass doesn't grow, but when it does the mowing needs to be kept up. We do love the park because of the activities that are offered thru activity department (Tammy) but the rent keeps going up. So many homes for sale due to this. Rent increase and nothing being repaired. But the entrance to the park is being redone. What? Trying to draw people in and them not knowing all the repairs that are needed! We are paying for a "resort" that isn't a resort. We do love it here because of all the great people!
Mar 30, 2025 · Sheila GartnerWe came in 2019 and fell in love with Reflections. That was the last great year for us.😩 Now repeatedly pools are cold, the hot tub is down and not useable. Water shut offs are frequent and residents not informed in advance, you can be in the middle of a shower and can not rinse off. I understand that things happen but I have yet to see any preventative maintenance being done. The staff is under appreciated by Legacy but not by the residents. Staff can only do so much. I feel along with many others that the park management is smart enough to know how to call a repair person and order what is necessary but LEGACY requires 3 estimates and then submit to higher ups and wait for a reply , as 3 weeks go by and you can finally Schedule a repair and now the company has to order the parts! It’s a goat Rodeo! Why cant there be a pool company that maintains the pools and hot tubs and has a spare heater and pump on hand here? Legacy has enough $$ to afford this especially as they get a 10% increase in rent every year! Now our manager Tina left March 1 2025 and weHave yet to have a meet and greet with the new manager. He is not accepting appointments from residents to answer questions as he says he is getting the lay out of the park. We feel abandoned and unheard and are tired of the disappointments in the state of Reflections on Silver Lake maybe if the staff and residents felt valued the park would get better reviews going forward. At this point there are many for sale and many more not coming back for 2026 please consider saving this community before all the great folks leave in disgust. We don’t want to loose our sense of community
Apr 01, 2025 · Sara ScottWhen I moved here three years ago I did a review and gave 5 stars... the park was beautifully maintained with great amenities. Unfortunately, things have changed. The condition of the park is outright embarrassing at times. Damge goes unrepaired for long periods. Mowing (which for some of us is supposed to be included in our lot rent) is poor or nonexistent, especially in the summer. We have two lovely pools and a hot tub, which until this year worked well, except for occasional outages, which are to be expected. However for months now the hot tub doesn't work, our large pool is not heated properly, and pools and deck furniture are not cleaned and maintained as they should be. New management doesn't seem to be available nor responsive to addressing concerns. Poor reviews are being met with responses to email the company directly with concerns, yet I have sent three emails over the last month listing very specific concerns and requesting a response. I have received NO response. It's hard to be positive when I have no doubt we will be hit with another large rent increase, while services continue to decline.
Apr 09, 2025 · PATRICIA CARROLLI have been here 4 yrs and in the four years things have been going downhill. The pool has had problems it’s not getting cleaned like it should and the hot tub doesn’t work.We have a new manager in the park and he’s a ghost no one’s talked to him or able to see him.He has told residents that your fee that you pay every month is only for your lot not the amnesties that we have really then while advertise on your website.Grass is not mowed in some areas in the park and breaks in the water lines happen often which only one thing the infrastructure is old .This is not a good sign you are losing people there are more homes in the park for sale and i hate to say but word gets around.
Mar 30, 2025 · Roger MartineauI have lived full time in Reflections for almost 11 years. Everything has gone down hill. From the dreadful trailers not being maintained to a new manager sho has been here almost a month and I have not seen him yet. He must be a ghost manager. I feel it is his responsibility to introduce himself to us not lock himself in his office. Then comes the dreadful rent. Raising it 10% every year for what i ask. Nothing. Legacy does not give a crap about the residents they care about the god almighty dollar. Half the time the pools and hot tub are broken, the washers and dryers need repairs not to say anything about the water lines. But raise our rent. When I moved here i was paying $250.00 a month 10 years later I am paying almost $900 and my own taxes. For what. We pay our own water, mow our own lawn and pay more for a corner lot. The trash bins are always full. Let’s update, Trash full, pools a mess, washers and dryers not working, a ghost manager, water lines a mess yep i would love to live here. Not anymore unfortunately they have us by the butt since there are som many homes for sale that no one wants they are holding us hostage. Sorry this is so negative but the only positive in this park is the activities director Tammy. She is the best.
