Tanglewood Introduce
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" that might offer long-term living options within a mobile home park setting in Sebring, Florida, Tanglewood, located at 3000 Tanglewood Pkwy, Sebring, FL 33872, USA, presents a community that has recently garnered significant negative feedback from its residents. Potential residents should carefully consider the serious concerns raised in the reviews regarding the park's maintenance, amenities, and management before making any decisions. Tanglewood can be contacted at (863) 402-1500 or +1 863-402-1500 for inquiries.
The environment of Tanglewood, situated in Sebring, located in central Florida, typically offers a warm climate and a landscape characterized by lakes and citrus groves. The park was initially perceived positively by at least one long-term resident who moved there three years ago as a "great place to be a snowbird." The fact that it is advertised as a "gated community" suggests an intention to provide a secure and private environment for its residents. However, recent reviews paint a concerning picture of a decline in the upkeep of the common areas. One resident notes that the "grass has died because of the thick layer of leaves that is never cleaned up," indicating a lapse in basic landscaping maintenance. Another mentions that the common areas "used to look like a park, now looks like a dirt parking lot," further highlighting a significant deterioration in the park's aesthetic appeal. Broken fences, malfunctioning streetlights, and roads in need of repair also contribute to a negative perception of the current environment within Tanglewood.
In terms of services and features typically expected from a mobile home park that might also accommodate RVs for longer stays ("RV parks near me"), Tanglewood appears to be falling short based on recent resident feedback. The front gate, a key feature of a gated community intended for security and controlled access, is reported to work only "about 25 percent of the time" and has been "broken for months and wide open," rendering the "gated community" claim a "joke." Essential amenities are also experiencing issues, with the "pool heaters broke again," indicating a recurring problem that impacts residents' ability to enjoy the pool during cooler months. The fountain in the pond is also reported to work only "occasionally," suggesting a general lack of attention to maintaining the park's features. Furthermore, the park manager's actions, including allegedly calling the police on residents and threatening to shut down the pool, raise serious concerns about the management's relationship with the community.
The key features that initially attracted residents to Tanglewood, such as its status as a gated community and its pleasant environment, are now sources of significant dissatisfaction. The broken and unreliable front gate negates any sense of security that a gated community is supposed to provide. The declining maintenance in common areas, including dead grass, unkempt landscaping, broken fences, and malfunctioning lights, detracts from the overall living experience. The recurring issues with the pool heaters and the unreliable fountain further diminish the value of the park's amenities. Most concerning is the reported behavior of the park manager, who is described as "worthless," "refusing to talk to residents about concerns," and not attending scheduled meetings. The alleged act of calling the police on residents and threatening to close the pool indicates a severely strained relationship between management and the community. The high lot rent is also a significant point of contention, with residents feeling that it is not justified by the current conditions and lack of adequate management.
Promotional information for Tanglewood would be difficult to derive from the recent negative reviews. The initial positive perception of the park as a "great place to be a snowbird" is now overshadowed by widespread complaints about declining conditions and unresponsive management. Any promotion touting a "gated community" would be misleading given the consistently broken gate. Highlighting amenities like the pool would also be problematic due to the recurring issues with the heater and the threat of closure. The park's current state, as described by its residents, offers no obvious positive aspects to promote. In fact, any objective introduction must emphasize the serious concerns raised by the residents regarding the park's upkeep, amenities, and management.
The overwhelming sentiment in the recent reviews of Tanglewood is one of disappointment and frustration. Residents who initially had a positive view of the community have witnessed a rapid decline in its condition and the quality of its management. The broken gate, neglected common areas, malfunctioning amenities, and the manager's alleged confrontational behavior have created a negative living environment. The feeling of insecurity due to the non-functional gate is a significant concern, especially for those who chose a gated community for safety. The lack of communication and responsiveness from the management further exacerbates the residents' dissatisfaction. The high lot rent, given these conditions, is perceived as unjust and adds to the overall negative experience of living in Tanglewood.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Sebring, FL, who might consider Tanglewood for a longer-term stay based on its potential as a gated community, the recent resident feedback presents a strong cautionary note. The significant issues with the park's maintenance, amenities, and management, as well as the inoperable gate, should be carefully weighed. Potential residents should directly contact the park management to inquire about the current status of these issues and to understand their plans for addressing the concerns raised by the residents. It would also be advisable to seek perspectives from current residents beyond these online reviews to get a more comprehensive understanding of the present living conditions at Tanglewood. The discrepancy between the initial positive experience of a long-term resident and the current widespread dissatisfaction suggests a significant decline in the park's quality and management over time.
In conclusion, Tanglewood in Sebring, FL, is a mobile home park that has experienced a significant decline in the quality of its maintenance and management, according to recent resident reviews. The broken front gate, malfunctioning pool heaters, neglected common areas, and allegations of unresponsive and even confrontational management present serious concerns. Despite being advertised as a gated community, the lack of a functioning gate undermines this key feature. The high lot rent is viewed as unjustified given the deteriorating conditions and lack of adequate management. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" considering a long-term stay at Tanglewood should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence to ascertain the current state of the park and the management's responsiveness to the serious issues raised by its residents.

Tanglewood Reviews
I moved here 3 years ago and it was a great place to be a snowbird. But things have gone downhill very fast. The front gate only works about 25 percent of the time, the pool heaters are broke again and the park manager called the police on the residents today and threatened to shut the pool down
Mar 20, 2025 · Tim DickersonGated community is a joke! Front gate has been broken for months and wide open. The maintenance in common areas has gone down the tubes. Grass has died because of the thick layer of leaves that is never cleaned up. Manager is worthless! Refusing to talk to residents about concerns and not showing up to a meeting if you finally get an appointment with her. Broken fences, street lights broken, roads in need of repair, common areas used to look like a park, now looks like a dirt parking lot. Fountain in pond works occasionally. Such a shame. I moved my parents there several years ago feeling good about the community and their safety in a gated community. I don’t feel that way anymore. Extremely high lot rent for conditions and lack of management
Mar 03, 2025 · Judyann Salg-OsborneA vibrant 55+ community with a friendly atmosphere and wide range of amenities. Love the well-maintained grounds, active lifestyle opportunities, and sense of camaraderie among neighbors. The proximity to restaurants and stores are a big plus!
Jan 05, 2025 · Demar MetcalfeI’m moving to Florida in a few months, I was considering your community to purchase a house in. Now I’m not so sure, you have some very poor reviews, especially on the management of the community. If it’s not delt with, I have no problem going elsewhere.
Mar 30, 2025 · Renee OttVery poor management. Nothing gets fixed. Pool always cold or not usable due to heater and / or filters not working. Interior landscaping be neglected by management. I would not recommend Tanglewood.
