Rio Bonito RV Park and Cabin Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Liberty Hill, Texas area, Rio Bonito RV Park and Cabin, located at 910 Co Rd 256, Liberty Hill, TX 78642, USA, stands out as a highly recommended destination for both RVers and those seeking cabin accommodations. Based on glowing reviews from satisfied customers, Rio Bonito offers a blend of spacious sites, modern amenities, and a welcoming environment, making it an excellent choice for short-term getaways and extended stays alike.
Rio Bonito RV Park is comprised of two sections, Rio Bonito I and Rio Bonito II, offering distinct yet complementary experiences. One reviewer who stayed for six nights in Rio Bonito II enthusiastically praised the park's features. They highlighted the "very spacious" sites, which boast clean and well-functioning hookups and level, concrete pads. This attention to the fundamentals of RV living ensures a comfortable and hassle-free setup for travelers. Furthermore, the landscaping throughout both parks is described as "beautiful," contributing to an aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable environment.
The amenities at Rio Bonito RV Park are a significant draw. The laundry room is noted for its cleanliness, multiple washers and dryers, and reasonable pricing, catering to the practical needs of both short-term and long-term guests. The bathhouses are described as "extremely modern and clean," indicating a commitment to providing high-quality facilities for guests' comfort and hygiene. Beyond the essentials, Rio Bonito offers resort-like features, including a "small but VERY nice" pool, perfect for relaxation and recreation. Two large fire pits provide communal spaces for socializing and enjoying the outdoors, while a playground caters to families with children. Pet owners will appreciate the dedicated dog park, allowing their furry companions to exercise and socialize safely.
A unique advantage of staying at either Rio Bonito I or II is the full access granted to the amenities of both parks, which are conveniently located across the street from each other. This doubles the offerings, providing guests with access to two pools, two dog parks, and two playgrounds. This abundance of amenities ensures that guests of all ages and interests will find something to enjoy during their stay.
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the short walking trails and access to the San Gabriel River. While one reviewer noted that the river was low during their visit, it still offered a "peaceful place to walk," providing an opportunity to connect with the natural surroundings. The presence of the river adds a unique dimension to the park, offering a tranquil setting for leisurely strolls and enjoying the outdoors.
The positive experiences extend beyond the physical amenities. Both reviewers consistently praised the staff and fellow guests as "friendly and welcoming," creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere within the park. This sense of community can significantly enhance the overall RV park experience, making guests feel comfortable and at home.
While the vast majority of the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, one reviewer who stayed in Rio Bonito #1 offered some constructive criticism. They noted that Rio Bonito #1 is not paved like #2 and that the pool was not yet open during their stay, requiring them to use the pool across the street. They also mentioned that the spaces in Rio Bonito #1 could be a "little tight at times" for larger motorhomes due to the trees. However, they did appreciate that their site was level and had a quiet, albeit almost dried-up, river behind it, which was good for their dog. This highlights that while both sections of Rio Bonito offer excellent features, there might be slight differences in the layout and specific amenities available at each.
The most significant complaint from this reviewer concerned early morning lawn maintenance. They reported being woken up at 7:45 am by a loud standup mower operating behind their motorhome, even mowing around it while their wife was still sleeping. This suggests a potential area for improvement in terms of noise management and consideration for guests' rest, particularly in the early morning hours.
Despite this isolated issue, the overall sentiment towards Rio Bonito RV Park and Cabin is exceptionally positive. The combination of spacious and well-maintained sites, modern and clean facilities, a wide array of amenities catering to various interests, beautiful landscaping, access to nature, and a friendly atmosphere makes it a standout choice for RVers in the Liberty Hill area.
In summary, Rio Bonito RV Park and Cabin offers a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for those seeking "RV parks near me" in Liberty Hill, Texas. Its key features include:
- Spacious and Well-Equipped Sites: Level concrete pads, clean and functional hookups.
- Modern and Clean Facilities: Laundry room with multiple machines, extremely clean bathhouses.

Rio Bonito RV Park and Cabin Reviews
We spent 6 nights in Rio Bonito II and loved our stay! The sites are very spacious with clean and well-functioning hook ups and level, concrete pads. Landscaping is beautiful throughout both parks. The laundry room was very clean with multiple washers/dryers and very reasonably priced. The bathhouses are extremely modern and clean. So many amenities: small but VERY nice resort-like pool, 2 large fire pits, playground, dog park. And that's just the RBII side. We had full access to Rio Bonito I, just across the street, with another pool, dog park and playground. Plus, there are short walking trails and access to the San Gabriel River. The river is very low, but still a peaceful place to walk. Staff and guests were all friendly and welcoming. We RV full-time and have seen a lot of RV parks - We highly recommend Rio Bonito for short- or long-term stays!
May 07, 2025 · George & Paula RobertsWe stayed in our 41 foot Discovery Motor coach. We stayed in Rio Bonito #1. It is not paved like # 2 is and the pool was not open yet so everyone had to go across the street to #2. Also the spaces were a little tight at times with the trees and a larger motorhome. The site was level though and had a quiet small almost dried up river behind it. It was a good place for the dog to run. Everyone was super friendly. The biggest complaint was the guy that mowed the lawn was behind out motorhome with a standup loud mower at 7:45 am. He actually mowed around my coach while my wife was in it trying to sleep. Then he mowed over the same spots over and over again for about 25 minutes. My wife was not happy at all. Would be nice if he at least started at 9am.

I had the opportunity to meet Tiffany and Janie at Taco Tuesday last week and really enjoyed their company! The management does a wonderful job making Rio a great place to live! I always see Mike and Karen zooming around the park as they insure the park stays beautiful and well maintained! John is just a pleasure to visit with, and is always hard at work! We really appreciate the wonderful and peaceful place you’ve created here for us to enjoy! High five for the whole Team!!!

Sep 06, 2024 · M RuyleThe Rio Bonito RV Parks are meticulously well kept because of their dedicated maintenance team and policy of the park owner. The office staff is very friendly and willing to address all inquiries. My husband and I have been long term residents for 10 months, and love the community of neighbors. The location of this park allows for easy access to the beauty of the hill country and reasonable drive to the city of Austin venues.
