This positive feedback about the cleanliness and functionality of the restrooms and showers provides reassurance for prospective guests.
The staff at Rio Guadalupe Resort are consistently praised for their friendly and helpful demeanor. The Easter weekend reviewer mentioned that the staff went above and beyond by organizing an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and providing a small brunch afterward. This thoughtful gesture demonstrates a commitment to creating a positive and family-friendly atmosphere. The reviewer also appreciated the staff's willingness to accommodate a request for a grill, even bringing a small one to their site when public grills were limited. This level of service and attentiveness can greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

Rio Guadalupe Resort Reviews
It was our first time staying at the Rio Guadalupe Resort. We camped in the RV section of the resort during the Easter WeekendHere are just a few things I appreciated about the resort.Pros:1. Bathrooms and showers were clean, functional, and the doors locked.2. It is right on the Guadalupe River. It was extremely convenient for tubing and kayaking.3. It was Easter and the staff did a Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Also, they had a small brunch after. I thought this was extremely nice.4. There are not many public grills. We asked about the grills and they offer to bring us a small one. It was not fancy but got the job done.5. Staff were friendly and helpful.Cons:One small con for me was the fees that is added to your bookings. The is a convince booking fee if you book online. Also, a fee to reserve a particular spot in the RV park for your RV. Be aware the cost of the resort is significantly more than booking at State or Federal Park.Overall great experience and I would suggest the resort to other friends.
Apr 22, 2025 · Winston JonesWe have stayed at this resort for the last 3 years during the winter in a river front cabin. Their location on the Guadalupe River is amazing! I fly fish and this location is great for wading or with guides for float trips. This property now has a fly shop with everything you need to fly fish this river. The staff- from the staff in the office to the fly shop- are friendly and knowledgeable. Cabins are comfortable and have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. You can choose riverfront with a view from your deck or a poolside cabin. They also have multiple RV spots. I hope to continue staying every winter!
Mar 23, 2025 · David LeeJust getting back from a 4-day stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Stayed in a 2-story cabin with 3 bedrooms. The cabin and property were well maintained. The fishing in the area is good and rented kayaks for a couple of hours. The fly shop on site is an added benefit. The fly shop had good prices being close to the river, a good selection of items, and the owner was knowledgeable and helpful.
Mar 25, 2025 · John DildayWe had a great time this weekend at this charming vacation spot, and the whole family had so much fun kayaking on the river. Thank you Gabbie for getting us into a cabin so smoothly and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend!!
Apr 28, 2025 · Kevin WalleckAfter a long day of driving around Canyon Lake, my friends and I could not find a swim spot. We stumbled across Rio Guadalupe resort, and even though we weren’t staying at the hotel, Debbie and her staff allowed us access to the river, which was a big relief. The hospitality was top notch. I would recommend anyone to stay here!
