Riverhouse RV Resort Introduce
If you are searching for RV parks in the Canton, North Carolina area, your exploration on platforms categorized as "RV Parks Near Me" might lead you to Riverhouse RV Resort, located at 4744 Pisgah Dr, Canton, NC 28716. This introduction aims to provide a balanced overview of the RV park based on the available customer reviews, highlighting its environment, potential services, and features, while also addressing concerns raised by some visitors.
Riverhouse RV Resort can be contacted at (828) 646-0303 or via mobile phone at +1 828-646-0303. These contact numbers are essential for prospective guests to inquire about site availability, reservation procedures, amenities offered, and any specific policies of the resort.
One reviewer describes Riverhouse RV Resort as a "small park" that is "very cozy & quiet" and situated in a "true country setting." This paints a picture of a peaceful and intimate campground, potentially appealing to those seeking a tranquil escape away from the hustle and bustle of more crowded areas. The reviewer specifically enjoyed the "river view," suggesting that the park's location along a river is a significant and attractive feature. The positive communication experienced with the "manager & owner" and the reviewer's intention to "definitely return" indicate a satisfactory stay and positive interactions with the park's management.
The mention of a "river view" suggests that some campsites or common areas within Riverhouse RV Resort offer scenic views of a nearby river. This natural setting can enhance the camping experience, providing opportunities for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors. The "true country setting" implies a more natural and less developed environment, which can be appealing to those looking for a more rustic or serene camping experience.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This reviewer alleges significant issues with the owner or manager, referring to them in highly negative terms and accusing them of unprofessional and dishonest behavior. The reviewer details a frustrating experience attempting to book a long-term site, citing confirmed dates being reneged upon and ultimately losing a $500 deposit due to alleged incompetence and contract issues. The reviewer strongly advises others to "avoid at all costs" and mentions reporting the situation to the county and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
This negative review raises serious concerns about the management and booking practices at Riverhouse RV Resort. The allegations of reneging on confirmed bookings and mishandling deposits are significant red flags for potential guests. The discrepancy between the two reviews highlights the importance of considering all available feedback and potentially seeking further clarification or assurances before making a reservation, especially for a long-term stay.
Given the limited information beyond these two contrasting reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the services and features typically offered by Riverhouse RV Resort. However, based on the positive review, it can be inferred that the park likely provides essential amenities for RV camping, such as:
- Individual campsites with hookups for water, electricity, and possibly sewer.
- Potentially, common areas for activities or relaxation, perhaps taking advantage of the riverfront location.
- Basic campground facilities such as restrooms and showers.
The negative review does not provide details about the physical amenities of the park but focuses entirely on the alleged mismanagement. Therefore, prospective guests will need to independently verify the availability and quality of the park's facilities.
When searching for RV parks on platforms categorized as "RV Parks Near Me," users typically look for information regarding:
- Types of campsites available (e.g., full hookup, partial hookup, primitive).
- Rates for daily, weekly, and possibly monthly stays.
- Amenities offered (e.g., Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, recreational areas, pet policies).
- Location and accessibility to local attractions and services.
- Reviews and ratings from other campers.
Riverhouse RV Resort appears to offer a potentially pleasant environment with a river view and a quiet, country setting, which could be appealing to many RV travelers. However, the serious allegations in the negative review regarding booking and management practices cannot be ignored. Prospective guests should exercise caution and consider the potential risks highlighted in that feedback.
To make an informed decision about Riverhouse RV Resort, it is highly recommended that potential guests:
- Contact the park management directly to inquire about current rates, availability, booking policies, and the amenities offered.
- Specifically ask about policies regarding long-term stays and deposits, ensuring all terms are clearly understood and documented.
- Seek additional reviews from other sources if available to get a broader range of experiences.
- Consider the significant discrepancy between the two existing reviews and weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks.
In conclusion, Riverhouse RV Resort in Canton, NC, offers the allure of a cozy and quiet RV park in a country setting with appealing river views, as reported by one satisfied guest. However, a contrasting review raises serious concerns about the park's management and booking procedures, particularly for long-term stays. Potential visitors should carefully consider this information and conduct thorough due diligence before making a reservation to ensure their experience aligns with their expectations and to mitigate potential risks associated with the alleged management issues. While the natural environment seems attractive, the importance of reliable and professional management in ensuring a positive RV park experience cannot be overstated.

Riverhouse RV Resort Reviews
This small park is very cozy & quiet in a true country setting. We enjoyed our time there, especially the river view. Communication with manager & owner went well and we will definitely itely return.
Aug 19, 2024 · Donna HickmanThe owner, or local psych inmate has no idea what’s going on. Tried booking a long-term site with this con artist, she kept confirming dates then reneging on them. Finally booked a site that we didn’t want, and due to her incompetence the contract was pulled as we weren’t able to secure housing in time to confirm it. We wasted $500 as she claims “the owners” (which she claimed prior she was the owner) couldn’t afford it. This lady is out of her mind and happy to rip anyone off. Avoid at all costs, we’ve reported her to the county and BBB.
Jan 11, 2024 · Z BThis place services long-term RVers but the host permitted a one-night stay next to her house. Our interactions were friendly and welcoming but the onsite access to the house did not have proper clearance to bring in our 11.5' high motorhome. The owner arranged for some branches to be clipped but was unwilling to provide complete height clearance for aesthetic reasons. In the end, for the price and experience, I would have preferred to stay at a nearby KOA. If you are staying longer term in the actual RV park, things would be different.
Feb 28, 2024 · Douglas SprattHad a wonderful short fishing vacation & stayed at Riverhouse! It is the best! The people there are awesome & included me for a fun campfire & cookout! Debi is great! Quiet, safe & clean! I will return! Thank you to everyone for your hospitality!
May 09, 2023 · Aprille ShafferJust recently parked here while working. The park is small and intimate with a beautiful view of the river. Recently updated with new hookups, the drive and pads are all gravel. Most sites have the front of the campers facing the river. The backside is a beautiful field that I was told would be planted providing more privacy from the nearby road. Driving in after dark is absolutely picturesque with the lights illuminating the edge of the river. The park has gates at the entrance, but I haven't yet seen them closed. I think they may close after 10:00p.m. A great place for the travel nurse looking for a quiet place to be.Update: be aware flooding can and does occur here. I was told it was like a 100 year thing, but I have discovered it is more like once or twice a year. Fortunately, water did not get into my camper, but I was away and didn't fully realize what was going on until afterward.
