Riverview RV Park and Marina Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the scenic Vermilion, Ohio area? Riverview RV Park and Marina, located at 1270 Vermilion Rd, Vermilion, OH 44089, presents a unique option for RV enthusiasts seeking a waterfront experience. Situated directly on the Vermilion River, this park offers a blend of natural beauty and convenient access to local attractions. You can reach them at (440) 597-8281 or +1 440-597-8281 to inquire about availability and rates.
According to customer reviews, Riverview RV Park and Marina boasts an enviable location that is hard to beat. Being right on the Vermilion River provides opportunities for water-related activities and scenic views. For those who enjoy boating and being close to the water, the presence of a marina and a boat launch is a significant advantage. This feature allows guests to easily access the river for leisurely cruises, fishing, or other aquatic adventures directly from the park.
One reviewer enthusiastically mentions the "awesome" activities offered at the park, with "something to do every weekend." This suggests a vibrant and engaging community atmosphere, where guests can participate in organized events and socialize with fellow campers. Such regular activities can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park, fostering a sense of belonging and providing entertainment for visitors of all ages.
The same reviewer also praises the "care of the ownership," which contributes to a feeling of being "one big family" at the campground. This personal touch and a sense of community fostered by the owners can make a significant difference in the overall ambiance of an RV park, creating a welcoming and friendly environment for both short-term and long-term guests.
Furthermore, the park's location offers convenient access to the charming historic downtown Vermilion and Main Street beach. This proximity allows visitors to easily explore the local shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions of the historic downtown area, as well as enjoy the sandy shores and recreational opportunities at Main Street beach. This blend of a natural waterfront setting and easy access to town amenities adds to the appeal of Riverview RV Park and Marina.
However, it's important to consider all aspects of the park based on the available feedback. Another reviewer provides a more critical perspective on the amenities offered. According to this review, the park has "no amenities except boat launch and a tiny playground." This lack of common amenities such as a dog park or laundry facilities might be a drawback for some travelers who rely on these services during their RV stays. The need to pay to use the shower is also mentioned, which is not always the standard in all RV parks and could be an additional cost to factor in.
The same reviewer also notes that the park store is "hardly ever open," which could be inconvenient for guests needing to purchase basic supplies or forgot essential items. Additionally, there are concerns raised about the septic pump-out service, with claims that it is not performed as frequently as promised and is not done thoroughly, potentially leading to issues with RV waste systems. These points are crucial for prospective visitors to be aware of when considering a stay at Riverview RV Park and Marina.
Despite these shortcomings in amenities and services, the second reviewer highlights a significant positive aspect: the friendliness and helpfulness of the full-time residents. The reviewer mentions making "lifelong friends" during their three-month stay, emphasizing the welcoming nature of the long-term community within the park. This strong sense of community can be a major draw for those seeking a more social and connected RV living experience.
The peaceful location is also noted as an upside, suggesting that despite being close to attractions, the park itself offers a tranquil environment. This could be particularly appealing to those looking for a relaxing getaway or a longer-term stay in a serene setting.
The reviewer also expresses that the park is "way over priced" considering the limited amenities and service issues experienced. This suggests that while the location and community might be appealing, the cost-benefit analysis in terms of amenities and services might not be favorable for all travelers. It would be prudent for potential guests to inquire about the pricing structure and compare it with other RV parks in the area, taking into account the amenities and services offered.
In summary, Riverview RV Park and Marina offers a prime waterfront location on the Vermilion River with a boat launch and convenient access to historic downtown Vermilion and Main Street beach. The park seems to foster a strong sense of community with regular weekend activities and a friendly atmosphere, particularly among the full-time residents. However, it appears to have limited amenities, including no dog park or laundry, and charges for showers. There have also been concerns raised about the store's operating hours and the reliability of the septic pump-out service. The pricing may also be considered high relative to the amenities offered.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Vermilion, Ohio, Riverview RV Park and Marina presents a trade-off between a desirable location and community feel versus potentially lacking amenities and services. If a waterfront location with a boat launch and a social atmosphere are high priorities, and you are prepared for potentially limited amenities and additional costs, this park might be worth considering. However, it is strongly recommended to contact the park directly at (440) 597-8281 or +1 440-597-8281 to inquire about current rates, amenity availability, and any recent updates to services. It would also be beneficial to ask specific questions about the septic pump-out schedule and procedures to ensure they meet your needs. Weighing these factors carefully will help you determine if Riverview RV Park and Marina is the right choice for your RVing needs in the Vermilion area.

Riverview RV Park and Marina Reviews
We enjoyed our time at Riverview, it's location can't be beat right on the Vermilion River. The activities are awesome, with something to do every weekend. The care of the ownership makes this campground feel like one big family. We loved the times we were able to be there.Joyce & Dave Varlamos-Ross
Mar 23, 2025 · Joyce & DaveVery close to historic downtown Vermillion and Main Street beach. No amenities except boat launch and a tiny playground. No dog park or laundry. You have to pay to use shower. Store is hardly ever open. They are supposed to pump out twice a week but don’t and when they do, they don’t pump out fully and leave tank valves open so your poo water builds up in your lines. Way over priced. On the upside, the full timers are so friendly and helpful! I made lifelong friends in the 3 months I was there. In a peaceful location.
Oct 12, 2024 · Jacqueline PoteetThis is an excellent campground with many amenities including a marina for your boat and in a great location! You will feel like your on vacation everyday you are there! I do!
Feb 13, 2025 · Don DevriesBeen 5 now and still love it - We just finished our first season and could not be happier (other than it is coming to an end for 180 days). This place is fantastic. Great scenery, great people, and great location (right on the river leading to lake Erie). The campground has live concerts and great activities, and the club across the river has some too which we can enjoy like they were our own. You cannot go wrong going to Riverview.Update little over half way through year 4... I didn't read my old review but everything I said is still true. Still a great place.
Jan 05, 2025 · Christopher PaetschDont go here. Owner treats people with hatred and allows bullies! Stayed for a season. Never going back and do not reccomend this place. Half the time electricity is out. Charges for showers. Too many to list. Think twice b4 deciding to go here.
