Westwood Estates Introduce
Are you currently searching for "RV parks near me" in the Amherst, Ohio vicinity? Westwood Estates, located at 7055 Quarry Rd, Amherst, OH 44001, USA, presents itself as a mobile home park with evolving opportunities for potential residents. You can contact them at (440) 988-4033 or +1 440-988-4033 for further information.
Based on recent customer reviews, Westwood Estates appears to be undergoing a transition, with a noted emphasis on encouraging residents to purchase homes rather than rent. One positive experience highlights the ease of the home buying process. A new homeowner shared, "The process to buy our new home couldn't have been any easier!! We went in with plans on renting. Well, the last place we looked at changed our minds on that. Why rent when we can buy for less?! We're paying $500-700 less then we had budgeted for renting. Ava and Alyssa have both been awesome to work with. We'll be home next week! Roughly two weeks start to finish!!" This review suggests that for those interested in homeownership, Westwood Estates may offer an efficient and potentially cost-effective pathway.
However, other reviews present a more nuanced picture, particularly regarding the experience of renting within the community. One former resident who moved in the summer of 2023 reported that their lease was not renewed, stating, "I was asked by one of the managers why I just didn't buy it. Was told they wanted to sell them and have less renters. A week and half after I moved a new renter moved in." This suggests a potential shift in the community's focus towards homeownership.
The same former resident also described challenges encountered during their move-out process, including difficulties in communication with the office regarding a week's lease extension and the refusal to refund their deposit despite leaving the unit clean. They also mentioned a retroactive monthly pet deposit charged shortly before their departure, despite pets being listed on the initial application without any disclosed fees. This experience underscores the importance of clear communication and consistent policy enforcement.
Another resident who had a "brand new" unit reported unresolved maintenance issues and a lack of upkeep in the yard, noting "ditches and debris all over." This raises concerns about the responsiveness to maintenance requests and the overall condition of some properties and common areas.
A particularly concerning review detailed safety issues within the community, stating, "My grandson was attacked by others more than once. Got to the point I didn't let him leave our house and met him up at the bus." While this resident also mentioned having "great neighbors," the reported safety incidents are significant and warrant consideration for families with children.
The same resident further commented on a perceived decline in the community over time, stating, "I definitely heard from the long timers in there that it had gone down hill." This suggests potential changes in management or community standards that long-term residents have observed.
Finally, the difficulty in reaching corporate management for issue resolution was highlighted, with one reviewer stating, "I am still trying to get someone from corporate to return my call to discuss matters like adults. Instead they hide. The ones in the office are only about getting you in there and that's it." This lack of accessible corporate communication could be a point of frustration for residents seeking to address concerns beyond the local office level.
Considering its categorization as one of the "RV parks near me," it's important to understand the current options for RV owners at Westwood Estates. While the reviews primarily focus on mobile home rentals and sales, the park's original designation suggests it may still accommodate recreational vehicles. However, prospective RV residents should directly inquire about the availability of RV lots, hookups (water, sewer, electricity), and any specific amenities catering to RVs.
Based on the information gathered, Westwood Estates presents a mixed picture. On the one hand, it offers an opportunity for affordable homeownership, with at least one positive experience highlighting a smooth and cost-effective buying process. On the other hand, there are concerns raised by former renters regarding lease renewals, communication with management, deposit refunds, pet fees, property maintenance, and community safety.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a move to Westwood Estates, it is crucial to weigh these different perspectives. If your primary interest is in purchasing a home in the Amherst area, the positive buying experience reported is encouraging. However, if you are considering renting, it would be prudent to seek clarification on current rental policies, lease terms, pet fees, and maintenance procedures directly from the management. Additionally, inquiring about community safety measures is advisable, especially for families.
As no specific promotional information was provided in the reviews, interested parties should contact Westwood Estates directly at (440) 988-4033 or +1 440-988-4033 to inquire about current incentives, available homes for sale or rental units, RV lot availability and rates, and any ongoing community initiatives. Visiting the property in person can also provide valuable insights into the current environment and the upkeep of the community.
In conclusion, Westwood Estates offers a pathway to homeownership that some have found to be straightforward and affordable. However, potential renters should be aware of the varying experiences reported by former tenants. For those seeking "RV parks near me," direct inquiry is necessary to determine the current suitability of Westwood Estates for recreational vehicles. A thorough investigation and direct communication with the management are recommended to make an informed decision about residing in this community.

Oct 18, 2024 · Tonya HartleyI moved in the summer of 2023 and this year was told my lease would not be renewed. I was asked by one of the managers why I just didn't buy it. Was told they wanted to sell them and have less renters. A week and half after I moved a new renter moved in. I needed a week extension as my new place wasn't ready and nobody in the office would talk to me or call me back. I left the place very clean and no repairs needed on my part. They refused to refund my deposit as I didn't move out until the 8th. I was ready to pay a prorated amount. They also, added a monthly pet deposit 2 months before I left saying they didn't know about my dog. Both my pets were listed on my application and no monthly pet fee had been disclosed. I am a 60 yr old grandmother raising my grandson. A little communication on their part would have been nice.My unit was brand new and had some issues and nothing was ever done. Yard was never cleaned, there were ditches and debris all over.My grandson was attacked by others more than once. Got to the point I didn't let him leave our house and met him up at the bus. Most of the people were nice and I had great neighbors. I definitely heard from the long timers in there that it had gone down hill.I am still trying to get someone from corporate to return my call to discuss matters like adults. Instead they hide. The ones in the office are o ly about getting you in there and that's it.

Oct 26, 2024 · Heather CoursenUpdate: I sent a letter to the management company and received a phone call however I've not been able to speak with the Regional VP of the park. I've called and left messages however I have not heard back from her. I spoke with the gas company about the open trench for the new gas line to the house they put up next to me and was advised that the park is responsible for the gas line installation however they have not completed the installation therefore the gas company can not do their part. The line needs to meet specific requirements per the gas company and the trench must be backfilled prior to the new meter being installed.Looks like a call to the local management office is required.I'm so over the so called management here. I moved in 3 years ago and wow how things have changed. I paid someone to fertilize my grass so it would be nice. I should get my money back because as you can see there's a dirt pile in my grass for 3 weeks now since they removed a tree and I'm sure the grass is dead underneath. My back concrete patio has been cracked and I've asked them to fix it multiple times and as you can see it's still cracked. They take you lot rent to "help" keep things nice but what are they doing for me....nothing. I've called the corporate office and the office here and NEVER get a return call. When I moved in Heather was the manager and she cared unlike the people now. The new person is rude and says she'll ask corporate about something however I've NEVER heard back from anyone. I've discussed my options with my attorney and it seems I'll have to utilize his services.
