One review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the lot rent pricing, particularly for new residents, stating an amount of $895. The reviewer describes this as "asinine" and shares a personal experience of being unable to move in with their father, followed by the financial burden of continuing to pay lot rent on an unoccupied property after his passing. This individual strongly advises others to avoid Twin Lake Homes, citing concerns about increasing lot rent costs and the perceived treatment of elderly residents and their families.

Twin Lake Homes Reviews
Legacy communities should be ashamed of themselves. $895 for lot rent for new people is ASININE. I tried to move in with my dad last year to help take care of him and wasn’t allowed to. He’s since passed and we are trying to sell his house. You can guess how that’s going. We now get to bleed his accounts dry paying the lot rent because no one in their right mind would willing pay that. They raise the cost every year so when that happens again next year it’ll be over $900. How do you sleep at night? Taking advantage of the elderly community and now the deceased is disrespectful and disgusting. I tell every person I can to stay far away from these people. I pray that no one is taking advantage of your parents like you are doing to mine and several others. Do better
Aug 26, 2024 · Jackie CristI have called two times about two diffrent Properties I was told both times in a condescending tone i.e honey, sweety.that they were under contract.I am a Nurse Practitioner. I deserve respect and not to be lied to.
Oct 28, 2024 · Anne BrooksI visited this place several times in 2015 and 2016 when it was family owned. It was reasonable priced and beautifully maintained. Back then lot rents were around $350. I just started looking for a new place and thought of Twin Lakes. I found a manufactured home that looked perfect and I was going to call to see about, until I saw $850 for lot rent! I’m 65 and on a fixed income. There is no way I would buy there now knowing it was bought out by a corporation that is raising rents that much each year. Especially with no amenities near by. Feeling sad as it used to be a wonderful option for affordable, nice and safe living in Lorain County.
Apr 01, 2023 · Nancy WinrodIf I could give 0 stars I would. My father lives here. He has health issues and really needs me to be there for him. I am not old enough to be able to move in to help him, even though I’ve explained his situation to them. Also we can’t sell his place so we can all be under 1 roof because the greedy new owners want $850 a month for lot rent. That’s for nothing but the land. No lawn or snow maintenance. No pool. I think I’ve see the “security” guard twice in the last year. And that’s not exaggerated either. They say the lot rent is comparable for the area. Highest I found for trailer parks in the area is $550 and that’s in Amherst. So not only greedy but they lie also. The manager they had was caught stealing. Doesn’t sound like a great company to me. These seniors are on fixed incomes. They should be ashamed of themselves charging that much. There’s 330 lots there. That’s $280,500 that they’re racking in a MONTH. Bleeding the elderly dry. How would you like it if some company came in and did this to your parents. Despicable.
Oct 29, 2023 · Jackie BiggersDefinitely not 55+ There are kids running around throwing rocks screaming after dark. There are people moving in at all hours of the night management was told but it still happens I wonder if they even had a back round check I bet NOT. If you don't care that your family has a safe place to live or will ever need something fixed then this is the place for them. The lady on the corner has not had drinking water for months broken pipe under ground took over a month to have plumbers check it out then the plumber hooked a garden hose to the outside water faucet for the place to have rusty water said not to drink the water and if you cook with it boil it first HELLO does anyone think this is a safety concern? Annette Tina Scott not one of them have done anything other then give the home owner the run around. Also they keep raising the lot rent close to 10% each year taking advantage of the elderly on a fixed income. In the fine print of the agreement you sign when you buy a place at Twin Lakes it states your mobile home will remain in the park can't be removed and if they don't get the property rent they will evict the owner and keep your mobile home. Let me say this I'm not a person to say things like this unless they are 100% true. READ THE FINE PRINT! There are over 20 places for sale in the park because of the way they treat the elderly they come up with excuse after excuse why things don't get fixed one of the workers said seems like Management wants the old people to move so they can charge the new buyer 850 a month just for rent plus water taxes that will go up close to 900 dollars starting in 2024. It blows my mind that the City Mayor The head of Health safety and Columbus won't step in and stop them from taking advantage and bleeding the elderly dry. Please if anyone cares Please repost this everywhere. People need to know what really is going to happen if they buy a place at Twin Lakes mobile home park!
