Riverwood Acres R.V. Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Bastrop, Texas area that offer more than just a place to park your RV? Riverwood Acres R.V. Park, located at 132 Reids Bend, Bastrop, TX 78602, USA, presents itself as a unique option with a strong sense of community and clear expectations for its residents. You can reach them at (512) 200-4195 or their mobile number, +1 512-200-4195, for inquiries about availability and their policies.
Based on the feedback from a long-term resident who stayed for two years while working on over-the-road construction, Riverwood Acres R.V. Park is described as "truly awesome." This positive review emphasizes the strong sense of community where residents "have each other's backs." This suggests a supportive and collaborative environment, which can be particularly appealing for those planning an extended stay or who value a close-knit atmosphere among their neighbors. The reviewer also noted that while the park does not have concrete pads, this is considered a minor drawback compared to the overall positive experience.
The owner of Riverwood Acres R.V. Park is characterized as "up-front direct on what's required to be here" and as someone who "has your back." This indicates clear communication regarding park rules and a supportive management style, which can contribute to a stable and well-managed living environment. The mention of "0 tolerance police for riftraft and fare rules" further reinforces the idea that the park prioritizes a peaceful and orderly atmosphere for its residents.
Another significant advantage highlighted in the review is the abundance of "lots of tree shade." This is a crucial factor, especially during the hot Texas summers, as ample shade can significantly improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your RV site. The natural environment with mature trees adds to the aesthetic appeal of the park and provides a cooler, more pleasant outdoor living space.
However, it is important to consider all feedback to gain a balanced perspective. Another individual who called to inquire about site availability reported a negative experience, describing the person they spoke with as "very rude." This potential customer stated that they were hung up on after mentioning having a service dog weighing over 20 lbs, despite offering paperwork to verify its status. This review raises concerns about the park's pet policies and the customer service provided in this particular instance. It suggests a strict adherence to a stated weight limit for pets and a potentially unwelcoming attitude towards service animals that may exceed this limit, even with documentation.
Considering these contrasting reviews, Riverwood Acres R.V. Park appears to offer a unique environment characterized by a strong sense of community, supportive management, and a commitment to maintaining a peaceful atmosphere with clear rules. The presence of significant tree shade is a notable environmental benefit. However, potential guests, particularly those with pets over a certain size (in this case, 20 lbs) or service animals that exceed this limit, should be aware of the park's policies and perhaps inquire specifically about their situation when contacting the park.
For local users in the Bastrop area or those considering a longer-term stay and searching for "RV parks near me" that foster a close-knit community and prioritize a quiet environment, Riverwood Acres R.V. Park may be an appealing option. The positive experience of the long-term resident suggests a stable and supportive living situation. The emphasis on clear rules and a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior could be a significant draw for those seeking a tranquil and secure environment.
However, the negative feedback regarding the handling of a service animal inquiry is a serious point to consider, especially for individuals who rely on service animals regardless of their size. It is essential for potential guests with service animals to directly communicate with the park management about their specific needs and any relevant documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and the park's policies.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Riverwood Acres R.V. Park and determine if it meets your specific needs, it is highly recommended to contact them directly at (512) 200-4195. When you call, be sure to inquire about:
- The availability of RV sites and their amenities (e.g., hookups, pad type).
- The park's specific pet policies, including any weight restrictions and how they apply to service animals with proper documentation.
- The community atmosphere and any rules or expectations for residents.
- The extent of tree shade available at the sites.
- Any additional services or features offered by the park.
- Their pricing structure for both short-term and long-term stays.
- Their reservation policies and availability.
By contacting Riverwood Acres R.V. Park directly, you can get clarification on their policies, especially regarding pets and service animals, and gain a better sense of the community environment that has been positively highlighted by a long-term resident. Weighing the positive aspects of community and a peaceful atmosphere against the potential concerns raised in the other review will help you make an informed decision about whether Riverwood Acres R.V. Park is the right choice for your RV stay in the Bastrop area.

Riverwood Acres R.V. Park Reviews
Over the road construction and have been to many parks, I Stayed here for 2 years, this place is truly awsome. No concrete pades but thats a small thing conpard to, a quite close net community where everyone has each other's backs. Owner is up-front direct on whats required to be here and has your back. Lots of tree shade. 0 tolerance police for riftraft and fare rules. This has been the best experience I have had.

Jun 17, 2024 · Lakotah FieldsPark is rustic with lots of trees, chickens in park but stay in roost until after 8 am. The rate is very reasonable and the friendly park host/owner only charged me for three days even though I was there for four nights. I would not consider this park a good location for a large motorhome (ours is 36') as the sites are not level. I found a site near the front of the park that was level enough to use my jacks but I barely fit. At this site the 50 amp power plug was so close to the ground that I could barely bend the cord enough to get connected. The road to the park is narrow and there are two rough railroad crossings to go over. And, yes, train traffic was an issue but the trains in the night seemed to mute their horns. Do not take the shorter route to the park as the road goes through a single lane, low water crossing that is very rough and steep - there were many scrape marks in the pavement where trailer hitches, etc. have hit.
Nov 19, 2013 · John CooperDue to the fact that space was not available, I was unable to move in. I did, however, converse with the owner Tim a few times and he was very friendly and consistently easygoing!
