Lost Pines RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Bastrop, Texas area, Lost Pines RV Park, located at 1242 State Hwy 71, is one option to consider. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of the RV park based on recent customer feedback available online, allowing local users to make informed decisions. It's important to note that online reviews can be subjective and represent individual experiences.
One review expresses significant dissatisfaction, alleging unfair billing practices and a lack of prorated refunds for early departures. This reviewer further claims to have been charged a substantial amount for electricity and reported the situation as credit card abuse and theft. This feedback raises serious concerns regarding the park's billing policies and customer service practices. Potential guests should be aware of this negative experience and consider it when making their decision.
In contrast, another review offers a more positive perspective, detailing a three-month stay at Lost Pines RV Park. This guest specifically commends Julia, the office/park manager, for her helpfulness and accommodating nature, particularly in a last-minute situation. This positive feedback highlights the potential for positive interactions with the park management and suggests that Julia is a valuable asset to the facility.
This long-term guest also describes the park as clean, noting the presence of a lawn service that maintains the grounds effectively. The reviewer appreciated being located on an end site and mentioned the absence of loose or barking dogs, suggesting a generally well-maintained and peaceful environment in these aspects. This indicates that for some residents, Lost Pines RV Park offers a clean and orderly living space.
The reason for this guest's departure was the commute time to their spouse's office, indicating that the location, while suitable for some, may not be ideal for everyone based on their individual needs and travel patterns within the region. However, for those whose destinations or daily commutes align with the park's location in Bastrop, it could still be a viable option.
A notable point of feedback from the positive review is the absence of concrete pads at the RV sites, with the ground being described as dirt and rocks. This is a practical consideration for RV owners, as concrete pads can offer a more stable and cleaner setup. Guests with specific preferences or needs regarding site surfaces should take this into account.
Despite the lack of concrete pads, the long-term resident credits Julia with keeping everything together and describes her as classy and efficient. This reinforces the earlier positive mention of the park manager and suggests that her management contributes positively to the overall operation and atmosphere of Lost Pines RV Park.
Considering both reviews, it appears that experiences at Lost Pines RV Park can vary significantly. While one individual reports serious issues with billing and customer service, another highlights positive aspects such as cleanliness, effective lawn service, a peaceful environment regarding pets, and exceptional management by Julia. The difference in these experiences underscores the importance of considering all available feedback and potentially contacting the park directly with specific inquiries or concerns before making a reservation.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' in Bastrop, Lost Pines RV Park presents a mixed picture based on the limited online reviews available. The park is located on State Highway 71, which could offer convenient access depending on your travel routes and local destinations. The mention of cleanliness and a proactive lawn service suggests an effort to maintain the physical appearance of the park. The positive remarks about the park manager indicate a potentially helpful and efficient point of contact for residents.
However, the serious allegations of overcharging and poor billing practices from one reviewer cannot be ignored. Local users considering a stay at Lost Pines RV Park should exercise caution and due diligence. It would be prudent to inquire specifically about billing procedures, electricity rates, and the park's policy on refunds for early departures before committing to a stay. Requesting written confirmation of these policies might also be a wise step to protect oneself.
The information available does not provide details about specific amenities such as restrooms, laundry facilities, or recreational areas. Therefore, local users who prioritize these features should seek additional information directly from the park management. Similarly, details regarding the size and layout of the RV sites, beyond the mention of dirt and rocks, are not available in the provided reviews.
In conclusion, Lost Pines RV Park in Bastrop, TX, offers a location on State Highway 71 and has received contrasting feedback from recent guests. While one long-term resident praised the cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere, and the helpfulness of the park manager, another reported significant issues with billing practices. Local users considering this RV park should weigh these perspectives carefully, conduct further research if necessary, and consider contacting the park directly to address any specific concerns before making a reservation. The lack of information regarding specific amenities and site details also warrants direct inquiry to ensure the park meets your individual needs and expectations.

Lost Pines RV Park Reviews
Do not stay here. They are crooks. No prorate if you have to leave before the month is up. They charged my debit card 500 dollars for electricity. CROOKS. Had to file charges on them for credit card abuse. Theft
Dec 05, 2023 · Jennifer TolerWe stayed in our travel trailer here for 3 months. Julia, the office/park manager was a life-saver! At the ladt minute, late on a Saturday she told us to park it and Monday we'd sort it out. After having been ripped off at a "resort" in Austin this was a huge blessing. The park is CLEAN. There is a lawn service who does a great job. We were on an end and loved it! There were no dogs loose. No dogs barking. We moved because it was 45-60 minute commute to hubs office... so now we are half the distance. However, no concrete pads. Dirt and rocks! Julia keeps everything together. Classy, efficient lady.
Sep 04, 2018 · Peg VanDyneWe booked this campground sight unseen as most of us do. When we called they said that they just became a KOA campgrounds. We figured we would give it a shot. We pulled in and to our surprise it looked like they just had a war. We did see that they had installed some pull throughs with new gravel and electric posts. How bad could it be. Well the first night was so so. The second night we encountered rain only to get worse as the night went on. When we looked out side the water was arising around us. Or should I say mud. With things not looking so good we did an emergency evacuation. Why you ask ? Had we stayed we would have never been able to navigate the mud bog. With 32k on 6 wheels the sink rate was unthinkable. If your looking for a place to stay keep looking. Oh ! Did I mention amenities ? That’s right there weren’t any. Walmart offers more amenities then these guys.
Apr 18, 2022 · Vince GambinoDO NOT Stay here!! (I would have given then no stars but google does not give that option) The manager is rude and inconsiderate. We came in at 2am and followed the sign on the front of the office for late check in. (We travel for a living across the nation and stay at RV parks three weekends out of the month 10 months a year) She banged on our door at 8am and then 10 am demanding we pay and leave. When I asked her why she was banging on our door and not just leaving a note so we could pay when we left (as per the instructions). (The sign on the office said: Checking in late, no problem, find a place make yourself cozy and we will put a yellow sign on your window in the morning. You can come by on your way out and pay.) She informed me that is an old sign and that is no longer their policy. I ask why they have not changed their sign to let people that late check in know the new policy. She then proceeded to tell me that they do not want anyone checking in that doesn't have a reservation, that doesn't stay long term and only checks in during office hours. I am fine with that and understand that they have the right to run their business the way they want. However, they need to have this information on their website and signage on their office so that people will know. I do not think she was professional at all and could have been more considerate in the way she handled the situation. Needless to say I will not being staying here again.
