The Pines at Bastrop RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for “RV parks near me” in the Bastrop, Texas area, The Pines at Bastrop RV Park, located at 472 E TX-21, Bastrop, TX 78602, USA, presents a location with both positive and negative feedback from recent visitors. While some guests have lauded its natural environment and convenient location, others have raised concerns regarding the facilities, management, and overall community atmosphere. It is important for prospective guests to consider both perspectives when evaluating this RV park for their potential stay.
According to some reviews, the environment at The Pines at Bastrop RV Park offers a desirable blend of accessibility and natural beauty. Guests have mentioned that the park is “close enough to town to enjoy all the amenities,” suggesting convenient access to shopping, dining, and other local attractions in Bastrop. Simultaneously, the park is described as providing a “feel like you’re out in the country,” indicating a potentially peaceful and nature-oriented setting away from the immediate urban bustle. The presence of “beautiful wildflowers” and abundant wildlife, including “plenty of deer” and numerous birds, particularly “lots of hummingbirds,” suggests that the park is situated in a location that appeals to nature lovers and bird watchers. The name itself, “The Pines at Bastrop,” implies a setting characterized by pine trees, which could contribute to a scenic and shaded environment. This combination of accessibility and natural surroundings is often a significant draw for RV travelers.
In terms of services and management, the reviews present a mixed picture. One reviewer specifically praised the managers, “Amy and Troy,” describing them as “amazing.” This positive feedback suggests that some guests have experienced helpful and friendly interactions with the park management. Additionally, the mention of “clean laundry facilities” indicates that at least one essential amenity is well-maintained. However, another, more critical review raises significant concerns about the functionality of the facilities and the responsiveness of the property management. This review alleges that the “facilities never work,” with specific issues cited regarding plumbing that was reportedly unreliable for several months, as well as washing and drying machines that were “constantly being serviced and never seem to work.” Furthermore, this reviewer described receiving frequent messages from property management about ongoing maintenance issues. The same review also characterized the property manager, Amy, as “not friendly” and suggested potential issues with drug use within the park, alleging the presence of “drug paraphernalia” in common areas. This stark contrast in experiences highlights the importance of seeking current and multiple perspectives on the park's services and management.
The features of The Pines at Bastrop RV Park, as perceived through the reviews, include its potentially convenient location near the town of Bastrop while offering a country-like feel. The presence of clean laundry facilities is noted as a positive. The abundance of wildlife, particularly birds and deer, and the presence of wildflowers are features that would appeal to nature enthusiasts. However, the negative review raises concerns about the reliability of essential features such as plumbing and laundry equipment. The mention of a lack of friendliness among neighbors, with “everyone keeps to themselves,” could be a consideration for travelers seeking a more social RV park environment. The alleged presence of drug use and associated paraphernalia in common areas is a serious concern that, if accurate, would significantly detract from the park's appeal and safety.

This starkly contrasting experience underscores the importance of due diligence for potential guests.

The Pines at Bastrop RV Park Reviews
We had a wonderful time at this RV park! You’re close enough to town to enjoy all the amenities, but when you’re at the park you feel like you’re out in the country. Amy and Troy were amazing and we met some wonderful people!Clean laundry facilities and beautiful wildflowers. If you’re a bird watcher they are plentiful here! Lots of hummingbirds! Saw plenty of deer as well!Would highly recommend this park!
Jun 02, 2024 · Carol AnnIt's apparent there are DRUG USERS LIVING HERE! Drug paraphernalia found in common areas like washer and dryer etc. Facilities never work. First few months of living there I was constantly getting texts from property management that maintenance was working on plumbing and not to use my water. They'd fix it and a week or two later it would stop working, this went on for several months. Washer and dryer are constantly being serviced and never seem to work. Grounds keepers barely come and mow. Neighbors aren't friendly, everyone keeps to themselves and the property manager Amy looks like she has some drug use issues herself and is not friendly and constantly messaging about maintenance issues etc. So glad I left!
May 22, 2024 · Addison ShouseAfter being here at the park for almost a year, putting up with the constant emails and text messages from the park management about not using the shower or the washers and dryers so much, even though they’re specifically included in the posted amenities, and demanding complete darkness in the park after 10pm, she decided to kick me out with only a three day notice. This past weekend she offered me a spot that I had been wanting with text messages even up to the day before, which I accepted, then late yesterday sends me a text telling me that I need to leave in three days and offered no reason other than “the owner” made the decision and refused to allow me the opportunity to talk to “the owner” who I’ve never met. We’ve followed rules, put up with her shutting down the one park light at night and her crazy text messages just so we don’t ruffle any feathers and continue living here because it’s a convenient location and this is how we’re now leaving. So, just a warning to everyone that this is how the management plays. Don’t get too comfortable if you decide to stay here because this may be you next time.
May 23, 2024 · Olivia5/2024 after three years of living here, I’m still loving it.LOVE my home away from home. Small and cozy. Long timers pretty much know each other and watch out for each other. LOVE IT!! Amy does a great job keeping us posted on important info.
