Rolling Ridge RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to Rolling Ridge RV Resort, located at 20285 US-27 in Clermont, Florida. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Clermont area, Rolling Ridge RV Resort presents a community where some lots are owned, offering a unique dynamic for both short-term visitors and those seeking a more permanent RV lifestyle in Central Florida. Based on the limited customer reviews available, the park appears to have a significant number of owner-occupied lots, which may influence the overall atmosphere and potentially the availability and rates for transient RVers. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park's environment, potential services, and features, drawing upon the provided customer feedback.
The Setting of Clermont, Florida
Clermont, situated in Lake County, Florida, is known for its rolling hills, numerous lakes, and proximity to the Orlando metropolitan area. The region offers a blend of natural beauty and convenient access to major attractions and amenities. Rolling Ridge RV Resort benefits from this location, providing a potentially scenic environment with the characteristic landscape of Central Florida. The area is popular for outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, and enjoying the numerous lakes and parks. Clermont is also a growing community with a range of local services and attractions.
The climate in Clermont is typical of Central Florida, with warm, sunny weather for much of the year, making it an attractive destination for those seeking a warm climate and outdoor living. The rolling terrain distinguishes Clermont from some of the flatter areas of Florida, adding to its visual appeal.
Potential Services and Amenities at Rolling Ridge RV Resort
Given that Rolling Ridge RV Resort has owner-occupied lots, the services and amenities might cater to both long-term owners and short-term RV guests. Based on general expectations for RV resorts, Rolling Ridge might offer:
- RV Sites: A variety of site sizes with hookups for water, electricity, and sewer. The presence of owner-occupied lots might mean that the transient sites are interspersed or located in specific areas of the park.
- Restroom and Shower Facilities: Clean and accessible facilities for RV guests.
- Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry rooms for the convenience of both short-term and long-term residents.
- Wi-Fi Access: Internet connectivity is a common expectation in RV resorts.
- Recreational Areas: Resorts often include amenities such as a swimming pool, clubhouse, or game courts to enhance the guest experience and foster community. However, the provided reviews do not mention these specifically.
- Pet Policies: While one review explicitly notes "there is no doggie park and none intended," it implies that pets are likely allowed within the park, subject to rules and regulations. The lack of a dedicated dog park might be a consideration for RVers traveling with pets.
- Management: On-site management to oversee the park and assist guests.
One of the customer reviews highlights a potential issue regarding the ownership structure, stating that "Owners of lots have monopolized most of the properties with three owners and they're trying to set the rates at a very high rate." This suggests that a significant portion of the resort consists of privately owned lots, and the influence of these owners might affect the overall dynamics and potentially the rental rates for non-owners. This is a crucial point for prospective RVers to consider and inquire about.
The other review simply states, "We live here 7+ months a year. We bought in 2021," indicating long-term residency and ownership within the resort.
Key Features and Potential Considerations Based on Reviews
Based on the limited information and the customer reviews, the potential features and considerations for Rolling Ridge RV Resort include:
- Potential for Long-Term Stays and Ownership: The presence of owner-occupied lots suggests opportunities for those looking to establish a more permanent RV living situation in Clermont.
- Location in Clermont: Access to the natural beauty and amenities of the Clermont area, as well as proximity to Orlando.
- No Dog Park: For RVers traveling with dogs, the absence of a dedicated dog park might be a drawback.
- Potential Rate Issues: The concern raised about lot owners influencing rates to be "very high" is a significant factor for prospective short-term and long-term renters to investigate. The extent of this influence and the actual rates should be verified.
- Long-Term Resident Presence: The review from a long-term resident/owner indicates a stable community, at least for those who have bought into the resort.
Exploring Clermont and the Surrounding Area

For those staying at Rolling Ridge RV Resort, the location on US-27 provides access to these regional attractions. However, prospective guests should consider their preferences regarding the community dynamic, given the significant number of owner-occupied lots, and inquire about the amenities and rates for transient RVers.
Considering Rolling Ridge RV Resort for Your Needs

Apr 13, 2024 · Annette BakerOne of the nicest 55 and over rv resorts in the area. The reviews say it all. Very clean, quiet and friendly park.
Apr 11, 2023 · Lionel Sticklesthe park is nice and some are friendly. the owners are running the park and have no posted rules. They are telling you what you can and can't do with nothing to back it up.very petty. Lots of dog owners yet lots of complaints about walking dog . You have to walk dog on a lot they don't even own. You can get in trouble for items you leave out doors. Yet no rules about what is and what isn't ok.
Feb 14, 2012 · Jack MellingA hidden gem of a 55+ RV Park 30 North of the Majic Kingdom. Lots are individually owned....but there are rental opportunities. Beautifully landscaped lots, friendly owners & numerous activities. We rented for the winter of 2018... But within a week we were looking for a lot to buy. Very happy we did.
