Rolling Ridge Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Broadalbin, New York area, Rolling Ridge, located at 185 Old State Rd, Broadalbin, NY 12025, USA, is a mobile home park with contact numbers (518) 884-8383 and +1 518-884-8383. While it functions primarily as a residential mobile home community, it is crucial for potential RV travelers to be aware of significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews before considering this location for any type of stay. The provided reviews paint a concerning picture regarding management practices, infrastructure, and overall resident experience, which could directly impact short-term RV visitors as well.
One extensive review details a severely negative experience as a first-time homebuyer within the Rolling Ridge community. While focused on the purchase and installation of a new manufactured home, the issues raised have potential implications for anyone considering staying at the park, even in an RV. The reviewer describes numerous problems, including undisclosed damage to the home during transportation that was hidden upon arrival. This lack of transparency and the failure to address these issues over several months raise serious questions about the management's integrity and attention to detail.
Further issues detailed in this review include a leaking master bedroom shower causing damage to the underbelly insulation, a cross-threaded plumbing connection, misaligned drywall with cracks and missing trim, a disconnected washer drain, crooked siding, scratched porch railings, and an improperly placed driveway that remained unresolved months after the home's arrival. The lack of grass seed after the sale and a missing lamp post further contribute to the impression of neglect and poor customer service. The reviewer also mentions a "no call no show" for scheduled repairs, highlighting a lack of reliability. The overall sentiment is one of extreme dissatisfaction with the performance and customer service, leading the reviewer to express a ruined home buying experience.
Another review from an existing resident paints an equally troubling picture of the park's management and environment. This review highlights a shift in the park's demographic from a "50 plus park to any age," a change the reviewer did not welcome. More concerning are the allegations of increased lot rents to cover paving costs that existing residents are paying for but not receiving. The reviewer describes the owners as "money hungry," citing annual rent increases coupled with additional charges for school and property taxes. Furthermore, the review alleges a failure by the owners to adhere to their own community rules regarding fencing, with "cheap metal fences turning the park into trailer trash" despite a rule requiring white vinyl fences.
This resident also claims that new homes are being "squeezed in tighter the tight," potentially indicating overcrowding and limited space within the park. A particularly alarming accusation is that residents looking to sell their homes face obstruction from the management, who allegedly disapprove potential buyers to prioritize selling their own homes for profit. The reviewer strongly advises against buying into the community and suggests that many residents are looking to leave but are hindered by the alleged buyer approval process. The final word of this review is a stark warning: "RUN."
Given these overwhelmingly negative reviews highlighting issues with management, infrastructure, and resident relations, potential RV travelers should approach Rolling Ridge with extreme caution. While the park is listed as a mobile home park and may technically have space to accommodate RVs, the environment and management practices described could lead to a very unsatisfactory experience for short-term visitors as well.
If Rolling Ridge does offer RV accommodations, the basic utilities typically found in mobile home parks (water, sewer, electricity) might be available. However, the poor infrastructure described in one review, particularly the road conditions, could pose significant challenges for RVs. Additionally, the alleged "money hungry" practices of the owners, as mentioned in the second review, could translate to unexpected fees or unfavorable terms for RV stays.
Amenities specifically for RVs are unlikely to be a priority in a park facing such significant management and infrastructure concerns. Travelers should not expect features like level concrete pads, dedicated RV dump stations, well-maintained roads, or organized recreational facilities.
There is no positive promotional information to extract from the provided reviews. Instead, the recurring themes are of poor management, neglected infrastructure, and a potentially hostile or uncooperative environment for residents. These issues could easily extend to short-term RV visitors.
Therefore, while Rolling Ridge is located in Broadalbin, NY, and has contact information available, any potential RV traveler considering this location should conduct thorough due diligence. This would involve directly contacting the management to inquire about RV-specific policies, site availability, utility specifics, pricing, and, most importantly, to get a clear understanding of the current conditions of the park, especially the internal roads and any potential restrictions or fees for RVs. It would also be wise to seek out more recent reviews from other sources, if available, to get a broader perspective on the park's current state.
In conclusion, based on the severely negative feedback regarding management practices, infrastructure issues, and overall resident dissatisfaction, Rolling Ridge in Broadalbin, NY, appears to be a mobile home park that potential "RV parks near me" seekers should approach with extreme caution. The issues raised could significantly impact the quality and comfort of an RV stay. Thorough investigation and direct communication with the management are absolutely essential before considering Rolling Ridge as an option for RV accommodation.

Rolling Ridge Reviews
Poor First home buyers experience BEWARE. Closed on the house August 28, 2024. First off house was damage in transportation and no one and I mean not a single soul that knew about it thought it was a good idea to tell the home buyer. The damage was hidden under the house by the skirting, this also defected one of the master bedroom heat run boots & flex duct + the ends of 3 bays (insulation) all this damage was present the 4 months the house was at the community and no one fixed it prior to sale (house arrived in May 2024). Not only that but multiple and I mean multiple defects, ranging from the master bedroom shower leaking and destroying the under belly side of my brand new home insulation and all ( clearly failed pressure test at the factory and was continued on anyways) they found the goose neck cross threaded into the fitting in the wall (this was fixed after weeks of waiting on scheduling & “materials”). Merge line in the house is messed up at almost every point on the dry wall being cracked or showing damage of pulling, missing small trim pieces all over the house. My washer drain was never checked again after the house was set and was disconnected so my first drain on my brand new washer leaked from inside the wall (also fixed by Hoffman service member at some point) but was completely avoidable if the house was correctly checked when house was set. Siding on the front of the house is crooked and walks upwards not lining up horizontally. They also marked up pretty bad my white porch railings & columns with black scratches. The driveway was improperly placed and now be moved again due to paving time soon so still no real answer or work starting? Which I can forsee that I will not have a driveway by the paving time this October due to their circus performance. No grass seed put down when house was sold (still no grass as of 10/15) and missing front lamp post. Also had a no call no show for fixing things around the house on 10/11. They seem to be more keen on continuing to install new houses and not take care of the customers they have already caused issues for. Very very poor performance & customer service for a brand new manufactured home buy and install. I am in my young 20’s and this has ruined home buying experiences for me.
Oct 15, 2024 · Andrew CrettyChanged from 50 plus park to any age. We didn't buy into that. Raised lot rents to cover paving driveways of new tenants and those of us already there, pay for it but don't get ours paved. Money hungry owners who, above raising rents to the max every year, add on school and property taxes. Yet don't follow their own rules. Feces are to be white vynl. Yet, there are cheap metal fences turning the park into trailer trash. The new homes are being squeezed in tighter the tight. These owners are money hungry. Don't buy in, many re looking to leave, but can't sell because they have to approve the buyer. They never do because they want to sell their own and won't make the profit from a home sold by an owner who is not them. RUN
Feb 09, 2025 · MaryRose RostockiI was there only once and it's a nice quiet lower income place to live that is clean and well kept up I believe it is run by the Hoffman's. They have a few old cars there as decorative pieces
