Sandy Riverfront Rv Resort Introduce
For local adventurers and travelers seeking premier "RV parks near me" in the scenic Troutdale, Oregon area, Sandy Riverfront RV Resort, located at 1097 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale, OR 97060, USA, offers a compelling option for a memorable stay. Situated along the Sandy River, this RV resort provides a picturesque setting with convenient access to both natural beauty and local amenities. You can reach them at (503) 665-6722 or +1 503-665-6722 to plan your riverside escape.
One of the most frequently praised aspects of Sandy Riverfront RV Resort is its stunning location. Guests rave about the beautiful riverfront sites, offering breathtaking views and a direct connection to the natural environment. Imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of the river and enjoying the scenery right from your RV window. One fortunate visitor even reported seeing seals in the river, adding a touch of wildlife wonder to the experience. For those seeking a tranquil and scenic backdrop for their RV adventure, Sandy Riverfront RV Resort appears to deliver exceptionally.
Beyond the immediate beauty of the riverfront, the resort also boasts excellent connectivity to local trails. This is a significant advantage for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, or simply exploring the natural surroundings. The convenience of having trails directly accessible from the park allows guests to easily immerse themselves in the beauty of the Historic Columbia River Highway area. Furthermore, the resort's location offers the added benefit of a wonderful small restaurant within walking distance, providing a convenient option for dining out without having to travel far.
In today's digital age, reliable internet connectivity is often a necessity, and Sandy Riverfront RV Resort seems to cater to this need effectively. One reviewer specifically mentioned that their Starlink internet worked perfectly when set up on a pole at their site. This indicates that the resort is accommodating to guests who rely on satellite internet services, which can be particularly important in areas where traditional wired internet options might be limited or less reliable. This thoughtful consideration for connectivity enhances the overall comfort and convenience of staying at the resort.
While the setting of Sandy Riverfront RV Resort is described as "perfect" by one guest, they also noted the presence of transportation noise, specifically from trains, private planes, and helicopters. This is an important factor for potential visitors to consider, as noise sensitivity can vary greatly among individuals. However, the reviewer also mentioned that this noise did not significantly bother them, suggesting that the overall positive aspects of the location outweighed this potential drawback for their experience. It's advisable for prospective guests to be aware of the possibility of some ambient noise from nearby transportation routes.
Another practical amenity highlighted in the reviews is the laundry facility available at the resort. However, one guest pointed out that the laundry operates on a token system, and tokens can only be obtained when the office is open. This requires a bit more planning for guests needing to do laundry, as it necessitates ensuring that they acquire tokens during office hours. While this might require some foresight, the availability of laundry facilities is nonetheless a valuable service for travelers, especially those on longer trips.
Sandy Riverfront RV Resort is also described as a "nice well kept rv park" by a visitor who stayed for a couple of nights. This reinforces the impression of a well-maintained and cared-for environment, aligning with the "well kept homes" mentioned in another review, although in this case referring to RV sites rather than mobile homes. The same reviewer also noted the easy access to the town, with its stores and restaurants, indicating that while the resort offers a tranquil riverside setting, it is also conveniently located near essential amenities and local dining options. The "pretty drive in" further suggests that the journey to the resort is also a pleasant experience, adding to the overall appeal.
For those traveling in larger recreational vehicles, Sandy Riverfront RV Resort is described as "big rig friendly." This is a significant advantage for owners of larger RVs, as not all campgrounds can comfortably accommodate these vehicles. The resort also offers a "bonus truck parking on the side of your rv spot," which is a particularly thoughtful feature for those towing vehicles or trailers, providing extra space and convenience.
Based on the consistently positive feedback regarding the location, cleanliness, and friendly atmosphere, Sandy Riverfront RV Resort appears to be a highly desirable destination for RV travelers in the Troutdale area. The combination of beautiful riverfront sites, access to trails, proximity to a restaurant, and big rig friendliness makes it an attractive option for a variety of campers.

Sandy Riverfront Rv Resort Reviews
We loved our riverfront site at Sandy Riverfront! Beautiful spot, our Starlink internet worked perfectly on the pole, and we even saw seals in the river from our window. Lots of trails connected to the park, and a wonderful small restaurant within walking distance. There is transportation noise (trains/private planes/helicopters), but it didn't really bother us because the setting otherwise is perfect. As others mentioned, the laundry is also fairly restrictive with having to get tokens when the office is open. Just required more planning.
Apr 25, 2025 · Grace AndesNice well kept rv park. Only stayed a couple nights. Easy access to town with stores and restaurants. Pretty drive in. Big rig friendly and bonus truck parking on the side of your rv spot.
Apr 29, 2025 · angela serranoWe have stayed at Sandy Riverfront a few times: it is well maintained and its staff is friendly, but the person we talked to could not adequately explain what the $3.50 charge at booking (it is a booking fee as described on the website which we did not look at as we reserved over the phone) was for. We were disappointed that the rates have increased almost $20 a night in the past year. Also, the internet/ WiFi is terrible for being in a location that is not remote. Spots are close together, but it is a pretty location with many trees along the sides and waterways to enjoy.
Oct 07, 2024 · J PittmanWORST EXPERIENCE! Read the numerous one star reviews if you bother staying here. We have an immaculate RV inside and out. They have the audacity to make us take time out of our day to send them pictures of our rig and then deny our stay because it’s more than 10 yrs old!?Where do you get off judging people when your location is near train tracks just outside sketchy part of Portland. We have stayed in beautiful high-end resort parks all along the west coast. We stayed in Carmel when we visited Pebble Beach last year, Santa Barbara, all along coast and never had anything like this. Unbelievable.
Sep 11, 2024 · S CThis is a great park and we will return here again. The sites are level, the utilities all work, and the staff is great. We returned to the park late one night and the night watchman stopped by to assure that it was us that were at the trailer. The park is surrounded by trees, the spaces are close but more than acceptable. It is right off the freeway so there is constant traffic noise, but it is muffled by the trees. We stayed in a trailer and again, we will be back. It is a dog friendly park.
