Shell Creek RV Community Reviews
Me and the wife were here for about a week while we were doing a rv armor job and John and Lisa were very accommodating and made our stay the best possible. We even stayed a few extra days. Quite location. We got to see bunnies and ducks just walking through the park. Overall a good vibe for a 55+ community.

Apr 03, 2025 · Mitchel JackJust moved here the 19th..Although I came for the quiet seclusion & serene environment..the few people I've met since here have been very cordial & welcoming since arrival. Most find my Chocolate spotted Dalmation pup "Chip" a great conversion starter & Ice breaker to approach. I do enjoy the close knit community so far & Mgmt. is helpful & friendly!Thank you Natalie
Apr 23, 2025 · Janet Sims PhillipsCONSTANT water problems and e-mails regarding water leaks, shut offs, and boil water notices. The laundry that i was told (back in May) was getting all new machines,is now (December) down to one working washer. I love the park itself, location, and residents, but this place really needs some decent management! Maintenance men are extremely rude, and so is the regional manager whenever he shows his face down here, from Michigan. Management sends constant rule, reminders, and regulations flyers and e-mails, but then do not follow those same rules themselves.
Dec 01, 2024 · Melanie CannonWe pay a premium rate of $1000 a month for the lot….so far, this is our experience with both 6 month stays.Edit to add: i’ve added a screenshot of the payment for 6 months, removing any of our personal information. It’s actually over 1000$ per month and you pay up front, unless you agree to a year long lease. I would consider paying a DAILY rate when staying for 6 months, a premium rate for a lot that doesn’t fully fit the vehicle without being on the grass. It’s sad when a company is so so focused on the dollar signs and bringing people in instead of taking care of the ones that are here. If i’ve overpaid, by all means, i’ll be happy to contact the office for a refund.Internet does not work for streaming, that is an extra you have to pay for. Unless you pay, it usually does not work. This isn’t a huge issue for us as we have our own wifi but it should be mentioned since they claim to offer it.The “laundry room” that offered 9 washers is down to 1 washer (as of 11/28) for everybody to try to catch a time to wash their clothes, unless you’re one of the lucky ones with hookups in your rig. This is a huge inconvenience as the closest laundromat is 20 mins away and 4-6$ per load just to wash.Edit to add: the laundry has been in the process of being “updated” for over a year so we’ll believe it when we see it.(Water out again 12/1)The water is continuously shut off due to “repairs” but Ian happened 2 years ago, it’s only an excuse for so long. They claim to offer drinking water to their residents but we’ve never had anything offered, just an email stating we won’t have water. This is concerning, considering this is a community with residents that have numerous health issues. Having sanitary water is essential for people of all ages. We shouldn’t have to use bottled water to brush our teeth 2 years after a hurricane.Edit to add: any long term resident will attest to the fact that the water has also been a frequent issue for over a year. They have given up fighting them on it, but it’s upsetting for the newcomers to find out this is an issue after purchasing their home or signing a lease. They’ve also been adding new cement slabs. They were not permitted for the amount of slabs they were laying and actually had to pause recently. This makes us perceive they only care about bringing in money, but not using it to fix the park.Edit to add: one of their own employees informed us this was stopped due to the city coming in and stopping them. Not sure if it was a permit issue or trying to fit too many people in the park, either way, cement slabs are significantly less important than clean water. They also have not poured a single slab since the city came in.The location is alright. It’s on a beautiful creek and neighbors two communities of manufactured homes. They recently installed a fence to at least separate us a little bit.The managers are most likely doing everything they can, but the company doesn’t actually care about this park or the people. They’re quick to dismiss bad reviews and say they’re doing updates. No amount of donuts on Friday or Saturday night dances will make up for the lack of maintenance. I just want anybody who is considering this park long term, to consider all options before settling.
