Slatter's Court Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Davis, California area that offer a blend of affordability and convenient access to city life? Look no further than Slatter's Court, also known as Davis Trailer Park, located at 1075 Olive Dr SPC 51, Davis, CA 95616, USA. You can reach them by phone at (530) 758-2718 or mobile at +1 530-758-2718.
Slatter's Court has been home to many residents seeking budget-friendly living options in close proximity to the vibrant city of Davis. According to one long-term resident, the park boasts the "most affordable rent in Davis" while still being conveniently located near the city's attractions and amenities. This resident, who lived at Slatter's Court for over a decade, also highlighted the "easygoing and noninvasive" management style and a sense of community where "tenants keep to themselves but look out for one another," making it a potentially "great place to spend your 20s!"
However, it's important to consider a range of perspectives when evaluating potential living situations. Other reviews present a more critical view of Slatter's Court. One resident described it as a "poor place to rent from," acknowledging that the "only desirable aspect of living here is the cheap rent," while characterizing everything else as "sub par."
Specific concerns raised by this reviewer include allegations of unresolved maintenance issues, such as living with mold for an extended period and being advised to address it themselves with paint. They also reported frequent issues with the laundromat dryer and a perceived lack of responsibility from the park management regarding its upkeep, with the explanation that a laundromat was considered a "luxury."
Another significant point of concern raised was the lack of air conditioning in the units, which could lead to indoor temperatures exceeding 90°F during the warmer months from May to October. Additionally, the limited choice of internet service providers, with only one option reportedly available at a relatively high cost for a modest speed (over $50 per month for 14 Mbps), was also highlighted as a drawback.
Furthermore, a former resident shared a negative experience regarding their security deposit, claiming that a substantial amount was deducted for minor repairs, and they were met with "hostile and rude" behavior when requesting an itemized receipt. This reviewer concluded by labeling the business as "incredibly unprofessional and shady," alleging that management was "notoriously difficult to contact regarding maintenance and routinely never in the office during business hours."
When considering Slatter's Court as a potential "RV park near me" or a long-term mobile home living option, it's crucial to weigh the significant advantage of affordable rent against the potential drawbacks highlighted in the more critical reviews. These drawbacks include concerns about maintenance responsiveness, the lack of air conditioning, limited and potentially expensive internet options, and reported issues with security deposit returns and management communication.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or affordable housing solutions, Slatter's Court presents itself as a budget-conscious option. However, prospective residents should be aware of the varied experiences reported by past tenants. It is advisable to conduct thorough due diligence, which may include attempting to contact the management directly to discuss any concerns raised in the reviews and potentially visiting the property to assess the current conditions firsthand. Observing the general environment of the park and, if possible, speaking with current residents could provide further insights into the day-to-day living experience at Slatter's Court.
While the allure of "cheap rent Davis" might be strong, especially for those seeking to manage their housing costs effectively, the feedback suggests that potential residents should carefully consider whether the cost savings outweigh the reported challenges related to maintenance, amenities, and management practices. As a platform focusing on "RV parks near me," it's our aim to provide a balanced view, incorporating both positive and negative feedback to empower users to make informed decisions based on their individual needs and priorities. Slatter's Court offers a basic and potentially affordable living situation in Davis, but it appears that prospective tenants should be prepared for the possibility of less comprehensive services and potential maintenance or administrative hurdles based on the experiences shared by previous residents.

Slatter's Court Reviews
My partner and I lived at Slatter's Court (Davis Trailer Park) for 10+ years, first in a studio and then a 1BR. Most affordable rent in Davis and still close to all the action. Management is easygoing and noninvasive. Tenants keep to themselves but look out for one another. Great place to spend your 20s!
Oct 06, 2023 · Matthew ZezzaPoor place to rent from. The only desirable aspect of living here is the cheap rent, everything else is sub par.We lived with mold in our home for 6 months; when we asked about fixing it we were given a can of paint and told to do it ourselves. The laundromat dryer was routinely broken, and when asked about a potential fix we were told a laundromat was a luxury and that the park had no responsibility to maintain those appliances. There is no Air Conditioning in these units, so be prepared for your home to routinely reach over 90F during May to October.Only one internet service provider services the park; be prepared to spend over $50 per month for a measly 14 Mbps. You will not receive your security deposit back; when we moved out they deducted almost $400 to fix 4-5 pairs of blinds. Became hostile and rude when asked for an itemized receipt of the fixes from security deposit.Overall an incredibly unprofessional and shady business. Management is notoriously difficult to contact regarding maintenance and routinely never in the office during business hours.
Oct 22, 2023 · Some Body ElseRecently signed my third lease. Ellen is always so helpful to me and has never given me an attitude- even when I had asked for help at an inconvenient time. Maintenance is always friendly when I see them around. I like this quiet park and a couple of my neighbors are very nice. Would recommend, especially for those living alone.
Nov 06, 2019 · Jazmyn HarrisTerrible management, if you are looking to stay here you are definitely not getting your deposit back. Told us they needed to spend 16 hours for deep cleaning on a trailer home not bigger than 32ft. after trailer was cleaned and in the same condition as it was when rented. Super slow on maintenance and had constant construction going on that lasted extra long because they couldn't pave it right the first time. Extremely rude when was asked about the charge. Ellen called us a "pain" after she gave a terrible recommendation that led to a new landlord passing on us. Assumed my roommate and I were gay and asked before we got the trailer. 1/10 never rent again from SC or any other places that are run by those imbeciles.
Oct 18, 2019 · Adam MoraThey took deposit and rent for a place that wasn't even done yet. They say no dogs but clearly there are dogs everywhere in that complex. They also took their sweet time on maintenance and left vague, rude letters instead of speaking with us directly. All in all the place knows how to save face. I wouldn't bother renting here unless you can deal with rude neighbors and maintenance workers that have no idea what they're doing.
