Are you a local resident in the Smithfield, Utah area exploring long-term housing options? While the platform category is "RV parks near me," this introduction focuses on Sojourner Park, located in Smithfield, UT 84335, USA. Although not an RV park, mobile home communities provide residential spaces and are relevant for individuals seeking more permanent housing solutions. This overview aims to present an objective picture of Sojourner Park based on recent customer reviews available online, highlighting aspects of its environment, services, features, and any concerns raised by residents, to assist local users in making informed decisions about potential long-term residency.
Sojourner Park is located in Smithfield, a city in Cache County, Utah. Smithfield is situated in a scenic agricultural valley, offering a more rural and community-oriented environment compared to larger urban centers. Residents of Smithfield enjoy access to outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, fishing, and exploring the nearby mountains and Cache Valley. The specific environment within Sojourner Park itself is not detailed in the provided information. However, as a mobile home community, it likely consists of individual lots for manufactured homes, roadways for access, and potentially some common areas. Local users considering Sojourner Park can anticipate a setting within the broader Smithfield environment, benefiting from the city's amenities and the surrounding natural landscape.
Information regarding the services offered at Sojourner Park is primarily derived from the concerns raised in the customer reviews. One significant point of contention is related to utility billing. According to one review, management is now expecting residents to pay for sewer and water, which seemingly contradicts previous arrangements. This suggests a potential change in the billing structure for these essential services. Another review mentions that Smithfield City has connected to the trailer park's main water line, which might be related to the change in billing responsibility. Additionally, there is a concern raised about potential issues with water line connections within the park, with one resident suspecting that someone is improperly connected to another's water line. These points indicate potential complexities and increased costs associated with water and sewer services at Sojourner Park.
The customer reviews also shed light on the management and overall environment of Sojourner Park, and the feedback is largely negative. One reviewer alleges disrespectful behavior from the park's "boss," including yelling, interrupting phone conversations, and hanging up. This raises serious concerns about the professionalism and responsiveness of the park management. Another significant issue highlighted is related to rent increases. Multiple reviews mention recent and substantial rent hikes, with one resident stating that their pad fee has increased by over $100 since the previous year without a clear justification. This suggests potential instability and a lack of transparency regarding rental costs at Sojourner Park.
Furthermore, the overall environment of Sojourner Park is negatively portrayed in one review, which describes the park as "nasty and trashy and not worth the money." While this is a subjective assessment, it indicates potential issues with the upkeep and cleanliness of the community. The reviewer explicitly advises against moving to Sojourner Park based on these observations and the issues with rent increases and management. These strong negative sentiments from multiple residents paint a concerning picture of the living conditions and management practices at Sojourner Park.
Based on the provided information, there is no indication of any promotional offers for Sojourner Park. The focus of the recent feedback is overwhelmingly negative, revolving around issues with rent, utility billing, and management. Local users considering residency in Sojourner Park should be aware of these concerns and prioritize direct communication with the management to seek clarification on these critical issues. It would be prudent to inquire about the current rental rates, the billing process for water and sewer, the park's policies on rent increases, and the management's approach to resident concerns.
In conclusion, for local residents in the Smithfield, Utah area exploring long-term housing options and coming across Sojourner Park through platforms listing "RV parks near me" (potentially due to its nature as a residential community), it is crucial to carefully consider the significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews. These concerns include unexpected changes in utility billing, substantial and seemingly unjustified rent increases, allegations of unprofessional and disrespectful management, and a negative assessment of the park's overall environment as "nasty and trashy." While the location in Smithfield offers the general benefits of the area, the specific conditions and management practices at Sojourner Park, as described by current residents, warrant serious caution. Local users are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, including direct and detailed communication with the park management and, if possible, speaking with current residents before making any decisions about residing at Sojourner Park.

Jun 18, 2022 · Brad WennebergIt's quite nice. We just need a management that will fully care about the park. Like knowing the best time to turn on sprinklers, care for lawns, and make sure the fences are mended. Other than that the people are wonderful, welcoming, and so friendly.
Jul 08, 2022 · Ashley WallarLike most neighborhoods, their are nice neighbors and others you can do without. The posted speed limit is 10, which should feel save for the children living there. However, some residents drive well over 10 MPH. If I could make three changes I would install speed bumps. Install playground equipment on at least two grassy areas. The other large grassy area would make a nice outdoor gathering area, as well as a place for a neighborhood garden.
