South Evarts RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Evarts, Kentucky area, South Evarts RV Park, situated at 104 David Turner Dr, Evarts, KY 40828, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer feedback. You can reach them at (606) 837-3205 or via their mobile number +1 606-837-3205 for inquiries. However, the available reviews offer contrasting experiences, highlighting both potential drawbacks and some appealing aspects of the park.
One reviewer expressed significant concerns about the overall condition of the campground, stating that it is in "terrible condition." This is a serious indictment and suggests potential issues with the upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and grounds. Additionally, this reviewer raised concerns about the local residents, describing them as "a bit scary," which could be a significant deterrent for those prioritizing safety and a comfortable social environment. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the facilities was called into question, with the reviewer noting that "the bathrooms are not maintained in a sanitary state." Based on these negative experiences, this reviewer explicitly stated, "I would not recommend staying in this campground." This strong negative feedback warrants careful consideration by potential visitors.
Conversely, another reviewer reported having "a great time" at South Evarts RV Park, indicating a more positive experience. This suggests that the park may have some redeeming qualities or that individual experiences can vary significantly. One of the appealing features mentioned by this reviewer was the proximity to a creek, which provided opportunities for children to fish and play in the water. Creek-side locations are often desirable for their natural beauty and recreational potential, making this a potential draw for families with children who enjoy such activities.
However, even within this more positive review, there was a mention of "a lot of trash by the creek." The reviewer noted being told that this was due to bears, although they did not personally see any. While wildlife encounters can be interesting for some, the presence of significant trash, regardless of the cause, can detract from the natural beauty of the area and potentially pose environmental or safety concerns. It also raises questions about the park's waste management practices and overall cleanliness in certain areas.
An advantage highlighted by the second reviewer was the convenience of the park's location, noting that it was "nice being close to a gas station, restaurant, and a dollar general." Proximity to such amenities can be a significant benefit for RV travelers, providing easy access to fuel, dining options, and essential supplies without having to travel long distances. The reviewer also described the people in the area as "friendly," which can contribute to a more positive overall experience.
Despite the positive aspects mentioned by the second reviewer, the stark contrast with the first review, particularly regarding the condition of the campground and safety concerns related to local residents, presents a complex picture for potential local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me." The conflicting feedback suggests that the quality and experience at South Evarts RV Park may be inconsistent or that different individuals have varying priorities and tolerances.
Given the available information, it is not possible to provide a definitive assessment of the environment, services, and features of South Evarts RV Park. The first review paints a picture of a poorly maintained and potentially unsafe campground with unsanitary facilities. The second review highlights the appeal of the creek-side location and the convenience of nearby amenities, while also noting issues with trash. Information regarding the types of RV sites available, the hookup amenities, the presence of other facilities (e.g., restrooms, showers, laundry), or recreational areas is not provided in these reviews.
Similarly, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or unique features of South Evarts RV Park. Local users would need to contact the park directly to inquire about such details, as well as to seek clarification on the conflicting reports regarding the park's condition and safety.
In conclusion, for local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in Evarts, KY, South Evarts RV Park presents a situation with significant discrepancies in customer experiences. While the proximity to a creek and nearby amenities are potential positives, serious concerns have been raised about the campground's overall condition, the cleanliness of its bathrooms, and the perceived safety of the local residents. Potential visitors are strongly advised to contact the park directly to seek clarification on these issues and to gather more information about the park's facilities and services. It would also be prudent to look for more recent reviews from other sources to gain a broader perspective before making a decision to stay at South Evarts RV Park.

South Evarts RV Park Reviews
This campground is in terrible condition. The local residents are a bit scary. The bathrooms are not maintained in a sanitary state. I would not recommend staying in this campground
Apr 14, 2025 · Tom ZillesWe had a great time. There was a lot of trash by the creek. We were told later it was the bears. Tho we didn't see any. I would like to have. Lol we liked being near the creek. It gave the kids an option to fish and play in the water. It was nice being close to a gas station, restaurant, and a dollar general. When we needed something. The people in the area were friendly. We would go again. Thanx!!!
Apr 15, 2023 · Rachael BeginThe shower house is a big NO! It was really close to food, gas, store, and trailhead which was nice. My hubby had to build our fire ring and the grass needed mowed. Beware of thieves at night. Our friends had their Yeti stolen and other campers had a bunch of stuff stolen.
Sep 25, 2021 · Cynthia GroganThe constant roar and noise from all of the off road vehicles and ATVs on city streets will be irritating to many people. If you are a motorhead you might like this place. But it is not quiet or peaceful at all.
