May 01, 2025 · Michael falinWe camped here in Big Stone Gap at Jessie Leas RV Park for 8 nights. Love being here on the South Fork Powell River with a Green Belt directly running along the river for biking/walking. It also leads into town where there are actually some great restaurants and a wonderful museum. There are many unique historic homes in Big Stone Gap from the big coal period. The rv campground is so quiet at night. The facilities are spotless and the grounds are filled with so many beautiful flowers and weeping willows. The management made us feel at home. This is such a good base from which to explore places like High Knob, waterfalls on little Stony Creek, the Guest River Gorge, Cumberland Gap, the Breaks Interstate Park which is a deep canyon and the Natural Tunnel. We cannot wait to come back!

Oct 24, 2024 · Betty Ann Osborne RotenOne of my favorite campgrounds. We travel full time and have stayed at a lot of campgrounds too. It's always clean and extremely well kept! You can tell the owner takes pride in her campground. This is one of our favorite times of year to visit Big Stone Gap. I can't think of a nicer place to stay and enjoy the fall colors! Highly recommended giving Jessie Lea's a try!!
Oct 20, 2023 · Charlie FStayed here a few weeks ago. Beautiful town and area, but the rv park has some issues. Most of the park are locals that live here and they allow them and guests to let their big dogs roam around, it's an accident waiting to happen.
