Southern Living Community Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Zephyrhills, Florida area? Perhaps you're looking for a welcoming mobile home park that offers more than just a place to park. Southern Living Community, located at 38621 Fir Ave, Zephyrhills, FL 33542, USA, presents a multifaceted living environment that warrants careful consideration for those seeking long-term residency.
Based on recent feedback from residents, Southern Living Community appears to be undergoing a significant transformation. One resident highlighted a positive shift, noting that since a new manager took over, the park has become much more peaceful and has experienced considerable improvements. This resident, who has lived there with their children for a year, initially disliked the park but has witnessed a cleanup effort and the departure of individuals engaged in illegal drug activities. They now describe it as a nice family park where they feel safe allowing their children to play, emphasizing the neighborly atmosphere and the responsiveness of management to maintenance requests. This positive review suggests a community on the rise, focusing on creating a secure and family-friendly environment.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge contrasting experiences shared by other former residents. One review paints a starkly different picture, describing the park as unsuitable for retirement communities or snowbirds. This individual mentioned a non-refundable $200 application fee and expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of repairs to their unit, specifically citing a whistling toilet (which they fixed themselves) and a persistently leaking kitchen sink that went unaddressed for two months. Furthermore, this review raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of some residents' living spaces, alleging roach infestations throughout the park. The reviewer also described disruptive behavior from children, including harassment, broken windows, and slashed bicycle tires, and claimed frequent police presence. The maintenance crew was labeled as incompetent, and a specific individual was accused of misrepresenting himself and engaging in shady dealings. This negative account further alleged the presence of drugs and prostitution within the park and mentioned a nearby meth lab. The laundry room's limited operating hours were also noted as an inconvenience. This perspective portrays a community grappling with significant challenges.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, potential residents should approach Southern Living Community with a balanced perspective and conduct thorough due diligence. The recent positive review indicates a potential turning point, suggesting that the new management is actively working to improve the living conditions and foster a more positive community atmosphere. The emphasis on it becoming a "nice family park" and the feeling of safety for children are significant improvements that could appeal to families looking for a long-term residence within an RV park or mobile home setting.
For individuals and families searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a sense of community, Southern Living Community's potential for a peaceful and family-oriented environment, as highlighted in the positive review, could be attractive. The mention of neighbors looking out for each other and prompt maintenance is indicative of a supportive community and responsive management – qualities highly valued in long-term living situations.
However, the serious allegations raised in the negative review cannot be ignored. Issues such as lack of maintenance, cleanliness concerns, disruptive behavior, and alleged illegal activities paint a concerning picture. While the positive review suggests these issues may be in the process of being addressed, prospective residents should independently verify the current conditions and management practices.
When considering Southern Living Community as a potential "RV park near me," it is recommended to visit the premises, if possible, and speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the present living conditions. Inquire about the application process, including the non-refundable fee, and understand the policies regarding maintenance and community conduct. Observe the overall environment, cleanliness, and the interactions between residents.
For those seeking long-term residency in a mobile home park, the potential for a peaceful, clean, and quiet family environment, as described in the positive review, is a significant draw. The sense of safety and community spirit can greatly enhance the quality of life. However, it is imperative to ascertain whether the improvements noted in the positive review are consistent and reflect the current reality of the entire community.
In conclusion, Southern Living Community in Zephyrhills, FL, presents a complex picture. While recent feedback suggests positive changes under new management, aiming to create a peaceful and family-friendly environment, past experiences indicate significant challenges. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or considering long-term mobile home living, a thorough investigation of the current conditions, policies, and community atmosphere is strongly advised to make an informed decision.

Southern Living Community Reviews
Nice peaceful park, since the new manager took over its gotten so much better. Me and my kids have lived here for a year, at first I hated it but over the last several months its been cleaned up and the druggies are gone. Its a nice family park, I feel safe letting my kids go out and play, all the neighbors look out for each other and if something needs to be fixed, it gets done quickly, so if anyone is looking for a peaceful , clean quiet family park you should definitely come check it out.
Oct 22, 2021 · Denise BoydTHIS PLACE IS NOT A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY OR A SNOWBIRD PARK.They charge a $200 application fee that is non refundable. They do not fix anything. The toilet in my unit whistled and the kitchen sink leaked. I fixed the toilet but the sink was never repaired in the 2 months I lived there. Many people in here live in such filth that roaches have taken over the park and the trailers. Children run around harassing people, breaking windows, and slashing bicycle tires. The police are in here almost daily. The maintenance crew is incompetent at best. The guy Ed who cuts the lawn is an alcoholic who can't cut grass very well. He tries to tell everyone he is the maintenance man and tries to rip people off on all kinds of shady deals. The place is full of drugs and hookers. There is a meth lab down the street. The laundry room closes early every day and isnt open on Sundays. If you are a doper or tweaker, this place IS for you! Your kind are all around!!
Aug 10, 2017 · Anthony BarberaI love paying $700 a month or more to live in my 1 bedroom trailer with roaches and black mold. Its great coming home to see the sherrif almost everyday & what's really great about this park is having continuous miscellaneous fees appear on eviction notices after being 4 days late on a week of rent. I love being taken advantagevof as a single hard working. Mother. Im notvan addict or a drug dealer but im paying Southern Living enough money like I am one or the other instead of paying what the trailer is really worth which is only $400 a month but who knows what is really going on in this place until I get a lawyer to investigate.
Nov 23, 2015 · Valrie CarpenterHonestly they do no repair anything even if you pay all your bills on time. Most places are in bad shape.. Good on price but very poorly managed and maintained
