Southern Living Mobile Home Park Introduce
Welcome to Southern Living Mobile Home Park, a well-established community nestled at 5303 E Texas St, Bossier City, LA 71111, USA. For those in search of "RV parks near me" that offer a long-term, community-oriented living experience, Southern Living Mobile Home Park presents a compelling option. This park has garnered positive feedback from its residents, highlighting its responsive management, friendly staff, and convenient location within Bossier City.
According to long-term residents, Southern Living Mobile Home Park fosters a sense of security and well-being. One resident, who has lived there for nearly five years with their husband and son, praises the landlord's attentiveness to complaints and issues, noting that they are handled promptly at any time. This speaks volumes about the management's commitment to resident satisfaction and maintaining a harmonious living environment. Furthermore, timely repairs and replacements when needed underscore the park's dedication to ensuring the comfort and functionality of the homes within the community.
The friendly demeanor of both the staff and the maintenance crew is consistently mentioned as a significant positive aspect of living at Southern Living Mobile Home Park. This contributes to a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, making it easier for residents to feel at home and connected to their community. For families with children, the park's location within a "great school district" is a notable advantage, further enhancing its appeal as a safe and conducive environment for raising a family.
Another resident who stayed for over a year initially held some reservations about the "Trailer-Park" lifestyle but was "pleasantly surprised" by their experience at Southern Living. This testament highlights the park's ability to exceed expectations and provide a positive living experience that challenges preconceived notions. The resident specifically expresses gratitude towards Jonathan, Anthony, and the rest of the staff, indicating their significant positive impact on the overall living experience.
Several pros were explicitly mentioned by this former resident, further detailing the advantages of choosing Southern Living Mobile Home Park. The "excellent staff" who "make every effort to help" when issues arise with rentals is a significant benefit, providing residents with peace of mind knowing that their concerns will be addressed. The affordability of the park, coupled with its location in a "great area" of Bossier City, offers both value and convenience. The mention of "decent insulation" suggests a level of comfort within the mobile homes, potentially leading to energy savings. The "quiet neighborhood" contributes to a peaceful living environment, and "friendly neighbors" foster a sense of community and belonging.
While the majority of feedback is positive, it's important to acknowledge the cons mentioned by one resident to provide a balanced perspective. It's crucial to note that the specific issues encountered may not be representative of the experiences of all residents. One significant issue reported was a persistent flea problem attributed to stray cats living under the trailers. While the landlord reportedly invested time and money in attempting to resolve this, the issue remained a recurring problem for this particular resident, ultimately leading to their departure. The resident suggested fixing the skirting around the bottom of the trailers to block access for the cats as a potential solution, but this recommendation was not implemented during their stay. This highlights a potential area for improvement within the park.
Another specific concern raised by the same resident involved an agreement made upon signing the lease regarding the mounting of TVs and monitors. Permission was granted in exchange for an increased monthly rent of $50, with the additional promise of a custom wooden staircase to replace the existing one. While the increased rent was paid for an entire year, the wooden staircase was never provided. Towards the end of the residency, the rent was reduced by $25 for a few months, but this did not fully compensate for the undelivered staircase. This situation underscores the importance of clear communication and the fulfillment of agreements between management and residents.
Despite these specific cons reported by one individual, the overall sentiment from other reviews paints a picture of a well-managed and pleasant community. The long-term residency of multiple individuals and the positive comments regarding the staff and management suggest that these isolated issues may not be widespread. However, prospective residents should be aware of these past experiences and inquire about current pest control measures and the process for addressing maintenance requests and agreements.
For those searching within the category of "RV parks near me" who are considering a more permanent or long-term stay in the Bossier City area, Southern Living Mobile Home Park offers the stability of a mobile home community with the potential for a welcoming and family-friendly environment. The reported strong school district adds to its appeal for families with children. The park's management appears to be responsive to resident needs, and the friendly atmosphere contributes to a positive living experience.

Oct 12, 2022 · Shawnna MillsNot a bad place to liveStayed for a little over 1 yearI would totally do it over again if I needed to. There are some cons to my experience here but overall it was an exceptional experience. I was unsure about the whole "Trailer-Park" lifestyle at first but was pleasantly surprised by my experience with Southern Living. My life there helped me get to where I am today and I will always be grateful towards Jonathan, Anthony and the other Staff :)Pros:Excellent staff that make every effort to help when something wasn't right with the rental.Affordable and in an great areaDecent insulationQuiet neighborhoodFriendly NeighborsCons:My problems were not indicative to others within the park. I think I might have been the only one to have these issues:(Just stay away from #29 LoL)Upon signing the lease, I asked if I could mount TV's and Monitors on the wall. The landlord was initially against this but we came to an agreement with an increased rent amount. Increasing the rent by $50 a month, I would get the permission to mount TV's ect AND get a custom wooden staircase to replace the subpar one that was in use. The wooden staircase NEVER happened. However towards the end of my time there the landlord did reduce the rent by $25 but that was only for a few months. I did an entire year at an increased premium to get a staircase that was not delivered. Also big bug problem. The park has stray cats, the stray cats live under the trailers, where they cause infestations of FLEAS. This was ultimately the reason I had to leave, fleas were a reoccurring issue, BUT the landlord spent a lot of time and $$$ attempting to fix this issue but to no avail.Fixing the skirting around the bottom of the trailers to block access by the cats would help remedy this issue. I recommended this to the landlord but nothing was done with the skirting. BEWARE THE CATS
