Maplewood Mobile Home & RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Bossier City, Louisiana area, Maplewood Mobile Home & RV Park, located at 452 Maplewood Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111, USA, is a mixed-use community offering both mobile home living and RV spots. Based on recent customer reviews, the park presents a blend of positive aspects, such as a quiet and family-oriented atmosphere with helpful management, alongside some significant drawbacks related to its location and amenities.
One long-term resident, who has lived at Maplewood for about five or six years, offers a positive perspective, describing the park as "very quiet" and "family oriented." This suggests a peaceful and community-focused environment that may appeal to those seeking a more settled atmosphere compared to transient RV parks. The resident also notes that "yards are all kept up" and there are "no broke down vehicles," indicating a degree of pride in the community's appearance and adherence to some level of maintenance standards. The fact that the park has been "family owned and operated since the early 90's" suggests a long-standing history and potentially a more personal approach to management.
For visiting RVers, the long-term resident mentions "nice RV spots," with some offering the convenience of "concrete pads." The availability of concrete pads is often a desirable feature for RV owners, providing a stable and level surface. Additionally, the presence of "washer and dryers in the bath house" is highlighted as a positive amenity, offering a convenient option for laundry needs. The reviewer concludes by describing Maplewood as a "great community" and even mentions "beautiful sunsets," adding to the park's appeal.
However, another, more recent review presents a more critical perspective, highlighting both positive and negative aspects. This reviewer acknowledges that the park is "clean" and the "management is very sweet and helpful," echoing the positive sentiment about the management. They also mention that it was an "amazing park to stay" and that their boss was even renting a trailer nearby, suggesting that the park can be appealing for various accommodation needs.
Despite these positives, the more recent review raises significant concerns about the park's location. The reviewer states, "...the location.. Not so well," and recounts a personal experience of having chairs stolen from their front yard, despite the owner moving them every few days for mowing. This incident raises questions about security within the park or the surrounding area. Furthermore, the reviewer experienced frequent issues with lost Amazon packages, attributing it to the high volume of campers and trailers nearby, making package delivery a "daily hassle."
Noise is another significant issue reported by this reviewer. They describe the train as "pretty noisy" and causing the campers to shake "often," with trains passing "day and night." This could be a major disturbance for light sleepers or those sensitive to noise. Additionally, the reviewer mentions instances where trains would "block you from leaving and coming into the park," which could be particularly problematic for those with time-sensitive commitments, such as work.
The condition of some of the park's amenities also comes under scrutiny in the more recent review. While showers are available, the men's showers are described as being in poor condition ("so bad my fiance chose to shower in the women's with me"), indicating a lack of adequate maintenance. The laundry room is also mentioned, but the reviewer recounts an unpleasant experience of having their laundry thrown on the ground, leading them to stop using the facility.
Finally, the more recent reviewer expresses concern that the presence of the adjacent trailer park ("trailer park being right there") is likely to negatively impact the success of the RV park. This suggests potential issues related to the overall environment or the types of residents in the combined community.
In conclusion, Maplewood Mobile Home & RV Park offers a mixed experience based on the available reviews. On the one hand, it appears to be a quiet, family-oriented community with helpful management, well-kept grounds, and some nice RV spots with concrete pads and laundry facilities. The long-term residency of some individuals suggests a stable and appealing environment for those seeking a more permanent or extended stay. On the other hand, the park's location seems to present significant drawbacks, including potential security issues (theft), problems with package delivery, considerable noise and access disruptions due to train traffic, and poorly maintained amenities like the men's showers and laundry room.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Bossier City, LA, Maplewood Mobile Home & RV Park warrants careful consideration. While the sweet and helpful management and the quiet atmosphere are definite positives, the reported issues with location (theft, lost packages), train noise and blockages, and the condition of some amenities should not be overlooked. It would be prudent to contact the park directly at (318) 742-5497 or +1 318-742-5497 to inquire about the current status of the amenities, any measures taken to address the location-related concerns, and to get a better sense of the overall environment. Visiting the park in person, if possible, could also provide valuable insights before making a decision.
There is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. Potential guests should inquire directly with the management about any current specials, rates, or policies regarding package delivery and train-related disruptions. Weighing the positive aspects of community and management against the reported negative aspects of location and amenity maintenance will be crucial for local users to determine if Maplewood Mobile Home & RV Park meets their needs for an RV stay in Bossier City.

Maplewood Mobile Home & RV Park Reviews
I've lived here for about 5 or 6 years now. Very quiet, family oriented. Yards are all kept up, no broke down vehicles. Family owned and operated since early 90's. Nice RV spots if your visiting , some with concrete pads, washer and dryers in bath house. Great community. Beautiful sunsets!!!
Jul 05, 2024 · DebI will say this park is clean, management is very sweet and helpful. It was an amazing park to stay, my boss was even renting out a trailer across the street. They have a lot available for their area but the location.. Not so well, I had chairs stoel in my front yard.. they were $180 all together; And the owner moved them every 2-3 days due to mowing. Along with that ordering amazon packages were constantly getting lost due to all of the campers along with trailers near by, it became a daily hassle. The train is pretty noisy and shakes the campers often, they go through day and night. They will block you from leaving and coming into the park.. sucks when you have work that morning too! They have showers available but they weren't maintained well the men's were so bad my fiance chose to shower in the women's with me. The laundry room available as well but I had my laundry thrown on the ground once and I quit using it. The park is nice but the trailer park being right there is going to drop their success.

Aug 16, 2024 · Philip Seaman (Catfish)Wonderful campground in Bossier city! Friendly staff and great sites. They just paved a few weeks ago so driving around is a breeze. They keep the grounds clean and the trees trimmed. We never had to worry about the trees during a storm. Can't wait to visit this campground again!
