While our primary service is to connect you with the best "RV parks near me" for your short-term travel and recreational vehicle stays, we also recognize that local users often seek information about more permanent housing solutions within their community. Stark Firs Mobile Home Park offers a long-term residential option in the Portland area, providing a community-oriented living experience that differs from the temporary nature of RV parks. Mobile home parks often represent a more affordable housing alternative compared to traditional single-family homes or apartment complexes, offering a sense of community and stability for their residents. The feedback from individuals who have lived at Stark Firs highlights its role as a place that offers a second chance and a supportive environment.
One particularly moving testimonial comes from a former resident who lived at Stark Firs for five years. This individual shared a deeply personal story of how Stark Firs provided crucial housing during a period of significant hardship. They recounted a time when they and their son were facing homelessness, living in a car while their husband worked at night and slept during the day. A past eviction on their rental history, dating back almost twelve years, had created a seemingly insurmountable barrier to securing stable housing elsewhere.
This resident expressed profound gratitude for Stark Firs offering them a chance to establish a new rental history. This opportunity proved to be transformative, enabling them to move from a trailer to a duplex and eventually to a four-bedroom house with a double car garage and a large, fenced backyard for their three children. This powerful anecdote underscores the critical role that communities like Stark Firs can play in providing a pathway to stability and a better future for individuals and families facing housing challenges.
The former resident emphasized that without Stark Firs, many of its residents might have faced homelessness without the same opportunity for a fresh start. They highlighted the often unforgiving nature of the rental market, where past evictions can continue to be a barrier for many years, preventing individuals from improving their circumstances. This testimonial positions Stark Firs not just as a mobile home park, but as a community that offers hope and a chance for positive change.
Beyond this powerful story of second chances, another reviewer described Stark Firs as "a small park but clean and friendly service." This provides additional insights into the community's environment. The description of the park as "small" might suggest a close-knit and potentially quieter atmosphere compared to larger mobile home communities. The mention of "clean" indicates that the park is well-maintained, contributing to a more pleasant living environment for its residents.
The reviewer also noted "friendly service," which likely refers to the management and staff of Stark Firs. A friendly and helpful management team can significantly enhance the quality of life for residents, making the community a more welcoming and supportive place to live. This positive feedback about the service adds to the overall appeal of the park.
An additional convenience feature mentioned by the reviewer is that Stark Firs "even have a small convenience store right on the property handy." An on-site convenience store can be a significant benefit for residents, providing easy access to everyday necessities without having to leave the community. This amenity adds a layer of convenience and can foster a greater sense of self-sufficiency within the park.
Considering the feedback, Stark Firs Mobile Home Park appears to be more than just a place to live; it's a community that has offered a lifeline to individuals facing housing barriers and provides a clean, friendly, and convenient living environment. For local users in Portland seeking a long-term housing option that may be more understanding of past rental challenges and offers a supportive community, Stark Firs is definitely worth considering.

Stark Firs Mobile Home Park Reviews
I lived there for 5 years and if it wasn't for them my son and I would still be living in a car at night and at the park all day while my husband work at night and slept during the day. We could not get in to a place because I had an eviction on my rental history from when I was 18 almost 12 years ago. So I want to say that I was so thankful there offer me a chance to get new rental history which has helped get from a trailer, to a duplex, and now I am in a 4 bedroom house with a double car garage and a huge back yard that is fenced in for my 3 children. If the people that live there did not have this place to go then they would be homeless like i was but they would never have a chance to get anything better because there is no where to go when you are trying to change for the good for the future cause all places look at your past and are not willing to give any one a chance.

Jun 02, 2024 · Michael JohnsonI have lived here for years, never had any problems with my neighbors or management, in fact if it wasnt for the management here our family would be on the street due to high priced and judgy apartment complexes!! I just hate to see all the bad reviews on here, yes we have our issues just like anywhere else in the world. if any vacancies do come up in the future it is not a bad place to live at all!! thank you to the management here for giving hard working people with a troubled past a chance to do better, thanks to you guys we got custody of our oldest kid, without ths place to live we wouldnt. you changed our lives for the better so thanks!!!
Sep 28, 2019 · Nakeisha BentCan't believe the conditions of the trailers they rent out!!! Appalling is best used to describe them. Incomplete plumbing, holes in walls and floors, only half of the electrical outlets work, and the fuse box?? OUTSIDE!?!?!?! You read that right!! Screams horror movie in the making!!! The ants are beyond problematic. Infestation is more like it. And no, the trim and moldings are not painted black. No siree, that's the lovely BLACK MOLD that comes as an added bonus!! So if you've ever truly wondered what a $HIT HOLE looks like, come by here!!!
Mar 27, 2021 · Camille ChristensenI live right next door to this trailer park and it needs to be shut down! Every weekend there is either a fight or there's gunshots! This place is not okay! The people that live there are disrespectful and one of the female residents of our building reported that a male from that park flashed her! There are kids who also live in this complex and when they hear the gunshots, they have to duck! The city is doing nothing to solve this problem! I sure would love to find out who the owner is because a group of us will get together and file a complaint with the police and the city!
