The double standards of this park are becoming a problem. Getting notices to remove your cans from the street after it’s already been done, and as I speak people still have cans out just a few doors down from the office.People park their cars ALL weekend on the street, sometimes 3 cars in a row. People parking along what’s supposed to be a designated fire lane all day and night.Having random people coming through the park, casing homes and cars and literally looking into peoples windows. I’ve had all of my solar lights stolen from my lawn. Found a used meth pipe behind our home right next to our fence. The only guest parking is all the way in the front of the park and half of those spaces are reserved. Plus you need to have a pass to park in guest and all the cars I always see have no pass showing. All the meanwhile rent goes up every year. Some of the tenants here would actually save money by renting an apartment rather than having the home they own on a pile of dirt and some concrete and paying upwards of 1500 dollars for JUST lot rent, not even including ANY utilities.Oh and the park sits on top of contaminated ground from the plant nearby having cancer causing chemicals leaking into the dirt for decades, (look it up) and yet rent keeps going up? Seriously? The company running this place should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for charging that much for filthy ground.I’m really surprised that a lawsuit hasn’t been started against the company “running” this park, but one really needs to be. - Holly Taylor

Starlight Mobile Home Park Introduce

For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" in the El Cajon, California area for potential long-term residency, Starlight Mobile Home Park, located at 351 E Bradley Ave SPC 30, El Cajon, CA 92021, USA, presents a community to consider. Their management can be reached at (619) 562-5755 or +1 619-562-5755 for inquiries regarding availability and park information.

The available customer reviews for Starlight Mobile Home Park offer a mixed perspective, highlighting both significant challenges and positive developments within the community. Potential residents should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences to form a comprehensive understanding of what it might be like to live in this park.

One detailed review raises several serious concerns regarding the management practices and overall environment of Starlight Mobile Home Park. This feedback points to issues such as inconsistent enforcement of park rules, particularly concerning trash can placement and street parking. The reviewer notes instances of receiving notices for violations that others in the park were seemingly not being held accountable for, suggesting potential double standards in rule enforcement.

Parking appears to be a significant source of frustration for at least one resident. The review describes frequent weekend street parking, with some instances of up to three cars parked in a row, potentially obstructing traffic flow. More concerning is the reported parking in designated fire lanes, which poses a serious safety risk to all residents. The lack of enforcement of parking regulations is a key issue raised in this feedback.

Security within Starlight Mobile Home Park is another area of concern highlighted in the review. The resident describes instances of "random people coming through the park, casing homes and cars and literally looking into peoples windows." This raises questions about the park's security measures and the potential for theft or other criminal activity. The reviewer also reported personal experiences of theft, with solar lights being stolen from their property, and the disturbing discovery of a used meth pipe near their home, suggesting potential drug-related issues within or near the park.

Guest parking also appears to be inconvenient, with limited spaces located at the front of the park, half of which are reportedly reserved. Furthermore, a guest pass is required, and the reviewer notes that many vehicles parked in guest spaces do not display these passes, indicating a potential lack of management oversight or enforcement in this area as well.

Adding to these concerns are the rising lot rental fees, which the reviewer argues are becoming exorbitant. They suggest that some tenants might find it more cost-effective to rent an apartment rather than paying upwards of $1500 for just the lot rent, excluding utilities and the cost of owning their mobile home. This raises questions about the overall value proposition of living in Starlight Mobile Home Park.

Perhaps the most alarming concern raised in this detailed review is the claim that the park sits on top of contaminated ground due to chemical leaks from a nearby plant over several decades. The reviewer urges others to research this issue, suggesting a potential health risk for residents. If substantiated, this would be a critical factor for anyone considering living at Starlight Mobile Home Park.

In stark contrast to the detailed negative review, another customer offers a highly positive perspective on the new park manager. This review praises the manager for enforcing rules, ensuring the park is well-maintained, and addressing problems promptly. The reviewer expresses a significant increase in their sense of safety under the new management, highlighting the positive impact of effective leadership on the community.

This positive feedback suggests that recent changes in management may be leading to improvements within Starlight Mobile Home Park. The emphasis on rule enforcement and proactive problem-solving could address some of the concerns raised in the more critical review, particularly regarding parking and overall park upkeep.

Given these contrasting viewpoints, individuals considering Starlight Mobile Home Park as a potential "RV park near me" for long-term living in El Cajon should approach their decision with careful consideration and thorough investigation. It is essential to:

  • Contact the park management directly to inquire about the issues raised in the reviews, including parking regulations, security measures, and the alleged ground contamination.
  • Visit the park in person to assess the current environment, observe parking conditions, and gauge the overall upkeep of the community.
  • If possible, speak with current residents to gain a broader range of perspectives on the living experience under the current management.
  • Research the claims regarding ground contamination from nearby industrial activity to understand any potential health risks.
  • Inquire about the specific details of lot rental fees, including any additional charges and the frequency of increases.

While one review highlights significant problems and raises serious concerns about safety and environmental factors, the other offers a positive outlook on the impact of new management. This indicates a potential turning point for Starlight Mobile Home Park, but prospective residents should conduct their own due diligence to determine if the current conditions and management practices align with their needs and expectations for long-term living in an RV or mobile home community.

No specific promotional information was included in the provided data. Therefore, any potential incentives or advertised amenities should be evaluated in the context of the reported challenges and the positive changes attributed to the new management. Ultimately, the decision to reside at Starlight Mobile Home Park should be based on a comprehensive assessment of the current living conditions, management responsiveness, and overall value proposition for those seeking "RV parks near me" in El Cajon.
